Here are the shirts they made...can you tell they are proud of them?

Gotta go make supper and get ready for Step class...have a great night everyone!

Sorry I missed another weekend. Gosh I was busy! Saturday I decided to clean our my closet :scared: not fun and I didn't even finish. It's so bad I still have half to go and I didn't even touch the shoes. Maybe I will be done before the cruise. Yesterday I decided to have a full Thanksgiving Dinner:cutie:. It's finally gotten a little cooler here (still in the high 80's) so I was inspired to cook and since we would be in FL for Thanksgiving I decided to celebrate a little early with Turkey, Mash Potatoes and Stuffing:cloud9:

I have been trying to catch up all morning but have been busy at work...what up with dat:confused3

Yes, I will be putting up my Christmas Tree before I leave. I will decorate it when we get back.

Kim, sorry you were robbed. One of my biggest fears is to not feel safe in my own house. Hopfully they catch the person who felt they could just take what they wanted from you:guilty:

Okie, hope Mom is doing OK. pixiedust: Some more pixie dust for you.

Kathy, let's see a picture of what Greg did to you :lmao:

Tangible :cheer2: :welcome: :cheer2:

If I missed anyone sorry, I will try to keep up.

OK, back to work :sad2:

Picture of the day:

If I remember correctly the train ride to DLP was 45 minutes, maybe an hour, from downtown Paris which is where we stayed. We basically just picked a day to go and then purchased our round trip train tickets from the terminal that day. We arrived at DLP and bought our tickets at the gate...that was it. Those were the days before knowing about these boards or before we were obsessed with the internet and planning. It was all very spur-of-the moment once we booked the trip to Paris and very casual. At that time there were no kids, just four adults. We did all of our getting around via the subway and train systems with the exception of Normandy. That was a full day bus trip that was scheduled in advance. We looked at the different subway and train maps, knew where we wanted to go then figured out the best way to get there. If we figured out how to get around I'm sure anyone could!

If you found a package through Travelzoo you could choose a hotel in downtown Paris and keep the room for the week. If you wanted to stay one night at DLP you could pack an overnight bag, take the train there, stay one night then return to downtown Paris at your other hotel. The package prices through Travelzoo are so incredible that it might be worthwhile.

Thanks,

I will check out Travelzoo. The idea actually came up after ordering the Adventures by Disney DVD. But I think I would like to set our own pace if we were traveling to Paris. It sounds like you had a great trip.

Jaime...HOW DID YOU GET THE MICKEY IN THE TIE DYE!!!!! Judy and I are having afternoon cosmos and noted your VERY cute kids and their fabulous t shirts! We want them, too!:goodvibes

Kim, the Nana Nazis will come to protect you...all kidding aside, I can't imagine how violated you feel. Keep the faith.

Okie...hang on. I know you are having such a hard time. We love ya.

I am STILL ready to pack. Unfortunately, my body won't pack into my clothes. It's a problem. I have stuff stuffed everywhere for the cruise. Judy and I have been picking up little items here and there and God knows where we put them all. Again, with the memory loss!:lmao:

This was where Judy meant to jump in, but she is so very cosmopolitan at this moment, she'll refrain and post later.

The shirts are pretty easy to make...I bought white shirts and a dye kit...the kit included soda ash...red dye...blue dye...yellow dye...rubber bands...(the kits said it dyes up to 5 shirts...we got 4 adult shirts and 4 children shirts out of one kit)

Kierra took a washable marker and traced Mickey on the shirts using a dinner plate and a bowl...then I stitched over her mickey face with thread and pulled it tight so the material is bunching outward(in 3 circles)...we then bunched up other parts of the shirt and put rubber bands on it(don't put rubber bands on Mickey)...we soaked the shirts for 30 minutes in the soda ash water...then we dyed mickey's head yellow and dyed where the stitching was red...making sure to get between the stitches...then we dyed the rest of the shirt...we put them in plastic bags for 24 hours...took the rubber bands and stitching off...rinsed them...then put them in the washer in hot water with a little soap...that's it...pretty easy...Kierra loved making them...she had to wear hers to school today and show everyone!

Thanks for the comments everyone...Kierra is loving the attention:goodvibes ...

Thank you for the welcoming everyone! :cloud9:
Ooh...those Disney shirts are so cute Jaime!!! Thanks for posting the instructions...I have tye dye stuff here...I will have to try this for my girls!:cutie: :cutie:

Okay, Jaime, either you go into business, or swear that you'll make some for the family exchange and our families will switch names! Wink, wink!

The more we look at them, the more we love them!:cool1:

Judy is pouring one to take home and is leaving me to do laundry...somehow this is not good. We've just perused all the Navigators and I am completely WILD thinking about all the fun and frivolity, NANA style:banana:  !

I am STILL ready to pack. Unfortunately, my body won't pack into my clothes. It's a problem. I have stuff stuffed everywhere for the cruise. Judy and I have been picking up little items here and there and God knows where we put them all. Again, with the memory loss!:lmao:

I am so ready to pack too, just one little problem or should I say one big fat problem....my a%$. Nothing fits me. Do you think it's possible for your clothes to shrink while hanging in the closet? Seriously, this is a real problem because I refuse to buy new clothes. Those super strech hefty bags with poofy sleeves are looking more and more like a real possibility. OK, now back to eating more chips...I mean an apple:crazy2: ummmm

Hey Britney ... rough day? I saw the news ... :rolleyes1

Boy everyone has been busy posting this afternoon.

Rick I almost :faint:
two days in a row posting, WOW!!! I am impressed!!

:welcome: Tangible
I am so happy you decided to post with us:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We do need a first name to call you, or did I miss it??
Shell will send you out a cruise mates list so you can get to know all of us without reading all the pages.
She will also add you to the list.

At the bottom of the list it will tell you about the meet we have planned and the matching shirts a lot of us are wearing and if you want you can buy one to wear too.
You are now officially a  head.
as you read along you will soon learn just what that means.:confused3
It means your cruising with a bunch of :scared: people who love Disney and cruising.

Dont be shy now, jump right in and start chatting along with us about anything you feel like saying or ask any questions you may have since this is a first time cruise for you. It will be our 15th on Disney.
we are a chatty bunch as you will soon learn.

Jaime, I love the tie dye shirts. Your DD did an EXCELLANT job:thumbsup2

Melanie and Jaime I expect you both to hit 1100 posts, not just 1000:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
You can do it!!! I will cheer you on everyday.

Shell, remember to send Tangible a list and get her info!! See how bossy I can get:eek: Years of marriage will do that to a person;)

I knew you had it covered but I had the urge to be bossy at someone and you just happened to be the priviledged one this time:lmao: :lmao:

Dont worry I will make it up to you and let you ride on the inside of the truck on the way to the hotel.;)

Not only is it possible, but I'm sure that it's a law of physics that increases exponentially yearly. The older we get, the more shrinkage we see. You do the math! I have really great intentions, but I'm not getting any results. Screw it...I want some caramel corn!:lmao:

Oh, yeah, poofy sleeves reduces your overall size.:rotfl:
