Evening all-
Had a busy day at school, my kids are better but we are still coughing- here is my question of the daysince I cannot see pictures at work, this will keep me in the disney frame of mind....

What is your favorite thing to order from Room service and why?
I love early morning coffee and croissant with Robin on the verandah- a great way to start each day!
I'm off to bed- loaded with cough meds-
I look forward to your ideas tomorrow!
Judy

Kim, see ya there. Margarita Madness is just around the corner

Well tonight was the first night of bring on the guilt. When Mike and I started to discuss, well when Mike finally started to listen to my whining about going on this cruise, we were in a dither about Austin. He is 13 and this is his first year in High School. We took him out last year and it was really rough trying to get back on track i.e. summer school was looking probable. So we knew that he would not be able to go,now keep in mind he has alraedy bee on 6 DCL so he wasn't missing out on a first time experience, I discussed it with him and he was like are you gonna bring me stuff, will you leave me some moey and who will I stay with. We went over all these options he was thrilled with the results and he said have fun. Now the hard part telling my parents who believe you should NEVER vacation without your children, well lucky me my sister had done on a 2 week cruise this MAy without my niece, and it was during exams, I on the other hand am only thinking of a week and no exams to be had. So 2 nights ago I start dropping subtle(those who know me know how subtle I can be) hints that we may book this cruise, bring on the catholic guilt tenfold. As a matter of fact she stopped by just to subtly drop a few guilt bombs, so now I am feeling like the worst parent ever. Hellllp:scared:

We like to order virgin pina coladas and "doctor" them up ourselves!!! :thumbsup2

Hope you feel better soon! Also -- thanks for explaining your security story -- WOW!!!!!

Good gravy, you people can talk, can'tcha????

Finally back at the hotel, took a shower, and caught up on FIVE pages of posts! I know I can't respond to all the lovely comments that were directed at me (thank you girls), so we'll just have to see where this post takes me :lmao: (my god it's hard to be away from this board during the day!)

TONYA: If Wendy is Nicole and I'm Paris, would you like to be Lindsey or Britney? That way we're all BFF partying buddies. Cheri and Kim can fight over who gets to be the last one :rotfl2:

Florida Seafood ... I forgot about that place! Let me check that as well.

MEL... once again, you've upped the cute factor with the tux pic. But, um, the cute factor is high for ALL the children on the board, not just yours (wink wink) :rolleyes1

WENDY: Have Diane call me. We'll have a nice chat, trust me. I know the catholic guilt thing 2-fold (thank you mom and mom-in-law)

Tiaras: Yeah, what the heck!!! Are we in??? PLUS ... are we going to try to do the Ladies Meet again on Sunday? We kinda let that one fizzle last year due to the Castaway Club meeting, but like Kathy said, that was kind of a bomb. The Ladies Meet was ... well ... a bunch of us girls with cocktails in hand in one specified area of the ship. Anyone? Buehler?

HI HUSBAND!!!! Oh, by the way ... Hunter will be sleeping with us apparently. Will fill you in when I get home :rolleyes1

Of course, not nearly as cute as Jeff's girls, right?

(Listen GF :ssst: ... Jeff's in Chicago and has my resume in hand. I really have to be nice to him right now. You understand, right? :rolleyes1 )

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Nobody's here to play this late at night. This sucks!! Hey, maybe I should call Wendy and WAKE HER UP

It's cool. :cool2: I know I make beautiful babies! They just all come out 10 lbs.:scared1: That's why I'm done having them!! I'm only 5'3" after all!!!

Good night! I must be off to bed!

DH and I are trying to make big photography studio-in-the-mall decisions. I told him "would this mean we would have to postpone the cruise?" :scared: and he has assured me NO.

As long as we keep our priorities straight we'll be fine.

I wear a tiara every day, doesn't everyone?

Anybody else been to Estes Park, CO and seen "The Stanley" hotel where that was filmed? Its not nearly as scary when you see it in real life. There's a grocery store right in front of it. We'll probably be going to Estes for Christmas this year, we have family with a vacation home there.

Just take those antibiotics and the strep should go away. I had it very bad last weekend and now it's gone. Still finishing up the pills though.

Everytime anyone comes out to visit, we try to take them up to see it...you're right - not so scary in person. It looks smaller too...

We have strep in our house too, so I spent 1/2 the day with Lily (she is contagious so she can't go to preschool) and then Devin came home so I could go into the office for some meetings. What is with everyone getting sick? Maybe this is just so we'll all have extra antibodies in our bodies so none of us will be ill on board. :confused3

Ladies night? I'm in...as long as cocktails are involved.:cool1:

Wendy

Don't feel guilty! If you do, then I too am a horrible parent :sad2: ...I will now admit that we have been on two (yes, two) separate week long cruises without our daughter...and she is only three. I rationalized that she wouldn't have had too much fun at the time, and besides, the grandparents were foaming at the mouth at the prospect of having her all to themselves for an entire week. It sounds like Austin would rather stay home this time anyway. I know when I was his age I loved it when my parents would let me stay behind - although their idea of a vacation was visiting the World's Largest Ball of Twine in the middle of nowwhere, not a Disney Cruise. :rotfl:

I guess I'm first up this morning! I cant post lots, because I'm going to school.
Kathy, a question: do the bananas need to move to count??? I hope they won't ban us!

- Josh

Howdy all,
Josh the bananas do not have to move. a banana is a banana whether it moves or not;)

Wendy,
Do not feel guilty!! You will find you are a better parent if you have a little time away from your child and it is good for the marriage too, no matter how many years you have been married.
It sounds like he is looking forward to having some time without you too, that is normal for that age group and it will probably be good for everyone.
DON'T let them make you feel guilty!!
You deserve some time to yourselves too.:thumbsup2

I say yes to the tiaras too. Last year I forgot mine because King Louie was wearing it as he was hanging from my chandelier over my dining room table. This year I will stick it by the luggage early so I wont forget it.

here is my photo of the day. This is another sunset from last years cruise.

I can't be Britney -- I generally wear underwear when in public. . .:rolleyes1 (We'll see if Bob's lurking. . .he should be disgusted by that last remark!:lmao: ) Kim, maybe we can find two stars who aren't completely disfunctional. . .:confused3

What the heck, let's do tiaras again. . .like I said, mine is easily accessible in the vault!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Let's also try to do a ladies meet this year. I agree with Kathy & Shell -- the Castaway Club thing was weak, except for the Micky Rice Krispie treats.

We also haven't thrown out the possibility of the Signals meet @ 1:01. . .:confused3 We didn't go last year because Jess wanted to get to the pool. For some reason, her enjoyment was more important than ours. . .:sad2:

Now that's a great idea! Didn't realize you could order drinks to your room.

Good Morning everyone...busy around here today...

Tiara's sound like fun...my dd's will then get to see that it isn't only there mommy that is crazy!

Does DCL have fat free milk? My dh & dd's like having warm milk before bed...do you think this would be possible?

Have a great day everyone!

Are you still looking at Oak View Mall? Shoot me the name of your studio and I'll try to send some referrals your way. . .many of my college friends (yes, I actually have a few other friends!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: ) still live in the Omaha area.

One week till the season premier of The Office. . .:yay: :yay: :yay:

Who thinks Pam & Jim will FINALLY get together??? I say they find a way to drag it out for the entire season, then they can finally really hook up.
It probably depends on whether Karen is still around this season. . .

Tonight is last season's finale so you can brush up on where they left off. :happytv:

Good day nanas!

Yes, I am lurking. Now, why would that disgust me? My first job, doing retail auditing, when the manager called the District Manager to tell here I was at this store in St. Pete, FL, the first question the DM asked was "Are you wearing underwear today?" Apparently, this particular store manager was know for wearing short skirts and nothing else. Take my word for it, this would not have appealed to me in her case!:scared1: The concept was actually rather frightening!

They went and looked at Oak View and the place was too small. Plus there is already a Picture People there. So now they are looking at Westroads. There are no other photographers there, except maybe JCpenney.

We are still deciding on a name. This is my idea "Click!" with a picture of a camera in front of Click. It all depends on whether he can hire enough photographers to man it. It's kinda scary. I'll keep you posted so you can send all your friends!!
