:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I remember when Jess was in the Wiggles phase! She learned her colors based on what each one wore. Jeff was her favorite so we bought her a Jeff doll. She obsolutley HATED it!!! In fact, she'd cry whenever she saw it. If it hasn't been given away already, it's buried in a box where she'll never see it again.:scared1:

She also liked the Wiggles movie with that guy named Wally. For a whole summer, she carried around the case to the movie like it was her doll!!! She even took it into Lake Michigan (the tape wasn't in there).

Now she's moved on to Disney Princesses and hot tub parties with her naked Barbies!!! She then hangs them by their hair on the clothes line!!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

We survived the Wiggles but it was 90 minutes of a spending and sugar eating frenzy for Emily. Elizabeth sat quietly and after seeing the crowd I apologized to her for making her go. :rotfl: I hit the cash machine right outside the entrance to the arena for 100 bucks going in and had 20 going out. One t-shirt, one Henry the Octopus doll, two snow cones a cotton candy and a lemonade later...and that's it!

The concert was fun for Emily but the new yellow wiggle (Sam) doesn't cut it. he's no greg.

Cheri, wait a year or two when she is too cool for Barbie princesses (that's where we are with Elizabeth now - at least outwardly though I still think she likes em a little bit). Emily on the other hand cant get enough of the ladies of Disney.

Off to do errands today. Have a great day everyone.

Bill & Cal are packing up to go to Cincinnati to see the Cubs & Reds play tonight & tomorrow

My DH LOVES the Reds...............

Cheeseburger in Paradise huh, we have one but we've NEVER been. Maybe we'll go tonight. What do you recommend? That will give us one more thing in common:rotfl:

Mojitos and Massages? I think I could retire off that concept. Open a little beachside cabana, mix the drinks and put out an "Open Sign":woohoo:

We got some of the storms you guys in PA got. Horrible wind and lightning. Moved through pretty fast though. We were completely unbothered as we were celebrating my DH's new job with "Banana Boats" at a local pub. I thought about you guys with every sip (banana, pinapple and of course MALIBU........)

Come to think of it, it is after NOON. A perfectly acceptable time of the day for a poolside cocktail:thumbsup2 Gotta run:cool1:

You mean the bus to the ship? Oh heck ... that's a good time! And as far as being late, it's the ONLY way the ship will wait for you IF it's late! I can't imagine that would ever be a problem. Do you know when you're getting into Orlando?

We are coming into Orlando on Thanksgiving Day. We will be arriving at 10:30 am.:yay:

Good morning!

I got my new computer yesterday. The monitor is so big, I could sit across the room and still see it!:lmao: :lmao:

Bill & Cal are packing up to go to Cincinnati to see the Cubs & Reds play tonight & tomorrow. It's Cal's 16th b-day present!

Actually Jess & I will basicallyhang here all weekend. We're going over to my sister's this afternoon -- a little family get together with my other brother and his family as well. Tomorrow she wants to do "crafting." I told her if her idea of crafting is cleaning the house, then we're on!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: I'm such a bad mom!

Well, better go help the guys pack. I'll try to check in later!

Ok, Cheri....I did a 2.5 hour workout on the treadmill/eliptical/wave. I dont wanna play healty anymore...<pant> <pant>. I did a half hour run on the treadmill at the maximum incline...probably not a big deal to you but I've NEVER ran like that, not even as a kid. The lady at the gym told me that if I wanted to lose weight I should "juice" so I got out my blender, cleared away all the margarita residue and got to it. I dont see the benefits but I guess it must work. Can you give me some tips on juicing? I got the gravy and mashed potatos in just fine but the fried chicken and ham really didn't liquify like I would have hoped. Eh....as long as its good for me, I guess I'll do it.

bbl....

Maybe you could try using more gravy

This is an awesome list that I saw on the main board posted by Shirley. I thought it might help with some questions people may have, it is really full of information.

Port Canaveral Parking

Parking at the port is $12.00 a day (that’s per 24 hours) or $84.00 a week – paid up front, cash or credit card. There are no other payment plans.
There are no other parking options available in or around Cape Canaveral except for parking at your hotel if allowed.
There is a six-level parking garage for Cruise terminal 10, all other options are open-air parking.

Which ships use terminal 10? Go here: http://www.portcanaveral.org/cruising/terminals.php

Traveling to and from Orlando (MCO) airport and to the port

When you exit the airport you will merge onto the Highway 528 (also called Beachline 528) and travel about 45 miles to Cape Canaveral. There is one toll to pay which is $1.25. There are no restaurants along the way until the highway ends and becomes a 4-lane surface street. Travel time: 45 mins.

Look here for a huge list of transportation options: http://www.portcanaveral.org/cruisin...dtransport.php

Car Rental
All agree that the cheapest option is to rent a car one-way from the airport, drive to the port, drop luggage/family off at port, drop rental car off and take rental car shuttle back to the port. Repeat in reverse for your post-cruise trip back to the airport. Hertz, Budget, Thrifty, Avis and all have drop off locations and free round trip shuttles very close to the port (companies are listed in order of closeness to the port). These four places are open on Sundays and their port shuttles start early in the morning until the afternoon.

National does not have shuttle service to the port. Enterprise has a location on Merritt Island which is a barrier island between the mainland and the beach. They will shuttle you both ways during normal business hours which are M-f 9-6 and Sat 9-12. The closest Dollar car rental is on South Babcock in Melbourne which is about 20 to 25 mins away from the port. Your best bets are Budget, Thrifty, Avis and Hertz.

Look here for car rental coupons and discount codes:

Avis car rental has agreed to meet or beat prices per Bob Fink

Can I walk to the port from my hotel?

It’s about 2 miles from the closest hotel (Raddison or Country Inns and Suites), along a highway with no sidewalk. Not recommended!

After car rental, the next recommended alternative to a taxi is a shuttle service.
Shuttle companies:

Cocoa beach Shuttle 321-631-4144 or 888-784-4144; www.cbshuttle.com
Art’s Shuttle 321-783-2112 or 800-567-5099; www.artsshuttle.com (Mention Disboard for 10% discount)
Note: Most of the popular shuttle companies servicing the port are not private shuttles (they will wait for all reservations to board before leaving). If you need a private shuttle request it specifically!

Towncar/Private Van companies:

Florida Tours http://www.fltours.com//

Sunrise Florida Transportation. http://www.transportationflorida.com/

Taxi Service to the port and around the port area:

One way from the Orlando airport to the port is 70-80 dollars. Taking a taxi from your Cocoa Beach / Cape Canaveral hotel to the port will run you around $5-7. 10 minutes drive time from anywhere in Cocoa Beach.

About a mile past the entrance to the port (right next door to Country Inns and Suites) is a big Racetrak mini mart/gas station for beer and probably some wine. Go another mile or so and on the left is an ABC liquor store and Publix grocery store. Stores only sell beer and wine and are allowed to sell between 7 am to 2 am except most places on Sunday don’t start until 12PM.

After you pass the cruise ship port get into the left lane and slow when it says to 45mph (police fav. hiding place) the road turns into a city street with a RateTrac store on your right. I invited her to join us, she is known as mousemom.
I hope she will join us here.

So Behave yourselves if she posts:lmao:

I got the gravy and mashed potatos in just fine but the fried chicken and ham really didn't liquify like I would have hoped.

Bill, I've had that same problem. You need to use a coffee grinder and mix in some grease. The coaches tell you to avoid that, but it actually helps you loose weight faster. They dont tell you this because they dont want you to give up your membership too fast. Hope this helps. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Maybe you could try using more gravy

Woo is going to have competition with you being her best friend. I want my fair share of time with you...I like the way you think!

I think you're on the right track. You need more liquid. Try a stick of melted butter. That should do the trick. :rotfl2:

Personally I would try and thin it down with chocolate sauce that would improve the flavor quite a bit. too. Those diet foods are always lacking in flavor, kind of bland. A cup of chocolate sauce can work miracles.;)

Morning all,
HOT here again today. No surprize. Greg is about to mow the grass and then we are headed out to see the new die hard movie this afternoon. Peter said it was good, so I hope he is right.

Petco took away their sefl serve dog bath so I still have 2 dirty dogs!!:sad2:
I dont want the mess in my master bath and it is a deep soaking tub also very hard to get the dogs in and out.
Dont want to bend over a lot to scrub them standing on the ground either. My back is not so good the past few years. We looked all over and could not find a tub large enough to put them in, even at the feed store where they have plenty of that kind of stuff.

Kids swimming pools would not be tough enough for my size of dogs.

We finally bought what they call a farm wagon. it is extra tall, has a plastic floor on the bottom that you can pick up for the water to run off and to clean it, Heavy duty metal frame and metal sides that are bars not solid.
We can stand the dogs in it and not have to bend over to scrub them and they can be secured so not to jump out.
I also bought 2 large watering cans to fill with warm water for rinsing the soap off. If we lay the hose out for 5 minutes there will be enough warm water to get them wet enough to lather up, then use the buckets to rinse.

This can be done on the patio where we have drains due to the pool or in the yard. Now all we need is the dogs to co-operate with the idea??:lmao:

It will be a 2 perosn job until they get trained on what to do.
We are going to try to do that today too. I think I may put on my bathing suit for this chore:goodvibes , maybe not, I don't want to scare the dogs either:rotfl2:

Enjoy your day everyone,
I shall return, probably drenched from wet dogs,:scared:

Ok, Cheri....I did a 2.5 hour workout on the treadmill/eliptical/wave. I dont wanna play healty anymore...<pant> <pant>. I did a half hour run on the treadmill at the maximum incline...probably not a big deal to you but I've NEVER ran like that, not even as a kid.
Are you nuts??!!! (Or bananas????)
I can see why you don't want to work out any more! You get a gold star for sheer determination!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: I have never run for 30 minutes on a FULL incline.:headache: You may want to try beaking it up into intervals -- 2 minutes at an incline, 2 minutes flat ("Flat" should actually be a 1% incline to account for the lack of wind resistance on a treadmill.) or some variation of that. I try to mix things up to ward off boredom.

If your shins are sore after that orgy of cardiovascular activity, freeze water in some Dixie cups, then peel away the sides and rub the "ice cup" on your shins and knees to help alleviate and prevent pain. (Maybe I'll try following my own advice on a regular basis!!:rolleyes1 )

That's today's installment of Cheri's Workout Tips. To order, call the toll free number on your screen; operators are standing by. . .

The maragita residue might have helped break down those proteins a bit. :rotfl: :rotfl:

 Try liberal amounts of olive oil -- that'll give you the heart-healthy benefit while helping those shards of chicken bones slide right down into your gullet!:thumbsup2 And, it won't coagulate at room temperature!:drinking1

Perhaps the recipe can be forwarded to the chefs at DCL :stir: :lmao:

Here's some pictures for those that are new to the DCL:

All girls eh? :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Just kidding! This'll be my last year in the Stack.

Kathy, my dad recorded the entire trip. Watching the DVD's he made is TOURTURE :scared: :scared: . Somethings like the crashing of the water over the sides of the ship on deck 4, and seeing our old servers take me back to some great memories... I'll never forget you Dennis! (He was our server last)
