Seriously, if the Hyatt wasn't so totally convenient (especially with young kids), we'd think about heading straight to the coast on Friday.

The tatoos are great. I'll post pix when we get home. Right now we are doing the packing up and getting out part (which I hate) as our flight is in about 6 hours.

I have an idea about the t-shirts If we are each going to print out the design onto transfer paper ourselves (which I think is a great idea), then how about just coming up with another design where he is holding up just one finger...........then next year you could have a three, two and a one but the same design. I don't know if that is too difficult or not

I always thinking. I bet my boss wishes I put that much time into work

Hey Bill - Great design. But I disagree with the others about the number designation. I think that the title of our cruise (the nanaheads) is the title..and last year was one..this year two and next year three and so on. If you hit only number two then you hit the number two. Part of the fun will be counting how many cruises some of us take together even if in 20 years it is a completely different group of cruisers, they'll be carrying on the banana head tradition.
That way you (as our kindly and great designer) don't have to worry about a separate design for iron on transfers and the like.

Just my two cents.

I'm a newbie, but I agree with Jeff... since you're using the same name as last year it makes sense that it would be "2" even if it's different people.

I think doing different shirts would make it awful complicated.

You know, you could just take off the II in the name but leave the banana fingers up and it could be interpreted as either a "2" or a peace sign.

My 2 cents ...

Jeff hit the nail right on the head. Banana Heads is the title of the cruise and the people that are on it, and this is the 2nd banana head cruise. But I think Bill & I have come up with an idea to separate out first-timers from 2-timers (and this alternative is something we can do on future cruises as well) that will "ap-peel" to everyone.

And hey ... think of it this way: Each years' t-shirts will become COLLECTOR'S ITEMS! You know ... like you'll be able to sell yours on e-bay for hundreds of $$ .

As far as ordering, Bill is looking into Cafe Press to have them made. You would go to the site and order directly from there. That way we all have the same design, same color shirts, everyone gets whatever size they need and however many they want. I think the only issue with doing the iron-ons is that there's a very good chance that we won't all match (well, that and I hate ironing ), and you remember how cool it was that we all matched perfectly last year!!!

DENISE: Think this design is cool? Oh, wait until next year! That one's going to knock it out of the park!!!

I just showed Greg the design and he laughed out loud. He loves the monkey.

We still have last years shirts on perfect condition, cant wait to add the next 2 years shirts!!!


Who knows maybe there will be an 09 or 10 reunion cruise



For now I will be happy for the next 2 cruises!!

Hey everyone... thanks very much for the support. I'm glad everyone liked what I did and the debates are always a great asset to this group (spunk, I say....spunk...its a good thang). My thoughts on this are...
1. Lets leave the two fingers up...its a two...its a peace sign....intrepret it as you like.
2. I believe we should remove the two from the design. On cafe press, I can make two designs very easily and the cost for double sided is the same. One design can have two bananas on the back or nana veteran or This is my second time with the bunch....I'll come up with a couple alternatives. This can go on the back.

Will that satisfy everyone?
I would like to keep the shirts yellow, though and the size of the main design uniform BUT if some of you want to use a dry transfer, I'll be happy to email you the design. I'm not entirely sure what the cost at cafe press would be but I believe its in the neighborhood of 15 + shipping.

OK, Bill didn't post MY idea for the shirts, but here it is:

We keep the design Bill has and put it on the back of the shirts. Then on the front you get either 1 banana or 2 bananas, depending on whether you're a first- or second-timer. In '08, we do the same, but you can get 1, 2, or 3 bananas on the front. Get it?
