Night everyone....

Morning all,

Shell, I hope your not too sore today. I hate sunburns, they are so painful. I rub aloe from a leaf of an aloe plant and it usually takes away the stinging .
We had to remove our aloe plant because Pixie was chewing on it and it is poisonious to dogs or I would of sent you a couple of leaves, they are great.

Christine,
How is the restaurant coming along?? I hope you open on time. When your done fixing it up, take a picture for us to see if you get the time. I would love to see the place.:goodvibes

Going to stay home today and try to destress from the weekend. Maybe get some scrapbooking done. Tonight Greg is going to shampoo the carpet and furniture in the family room and our shampooer cleans tile really great, so he will do the kitchen and eating areas too.
The dogs and I will be banished to the upstairs loft area to watch TV for a couple of hours.:happytv: hope they have something good on the animal planet nertwork for the dogs.:lmao:

Pixie had an accident last evening, but it has been days since her last one,so she is doing very well. now she is getting trained to walk on a leash. She immitates Minnie so Greg takes them both at the same time and it is working pretty good.
She now loves to attack the sprinklers when they come on.

My daughter is going to have to have her neck checked out, she is in a lot of pain and needs to make sure she doesnt have anything really hurt bad there.
She was drug around by her hair some during the fight. Lots of bruises and soreness too, but mentally she seems to be getting better. Such a terrible thing to have to go through. I sure wish she was here, not 3500 miles away.

well off to try and get some scrapbooking done this morning.
Have a good Monday everyone,

kathy

Hey, thanks for the weather reports everyone! Past few years we have been do WDW and learned the hard way that it can be hit or miss for warm weather (Christmas 2004, 32 degrees watching Wishes in shorts:sad1: ), but could not get a good answer about the Islands.
Now apparantly all I have to do is figure out how to get my folding snow shovel into my suitcase!!:lmao:

WAAAAAAHHHHH! :sad1: I didn't get one.....I guess I was bad and never gave you my e-mail address. Will PM you right now. ;)

I went onto the DCL site and checked out my reservation as I was going to pay off the cruise until I realized I had more than a month before we can reserve excursions so I put that on hold But while there, I noticed 2 things. One - where they have the link for pre-registration for the kids clubs, they have Emily as "eligible" for Flounders. She is going to be almost four and is potty trained now so we were going to have her in the Club. Do I have to call to fix this or just deal with it when we board?

The other thing I saw that I'm ticked about is that the St. John's excursion to Trunk Bay is only for kids 5 and up. :headache: That means we can't go on that one. I don't get it. It's a day at the beach. The bizarre thing is that the St. John's excursion that is an island tour in the back of one of those pick up trucks they call taxis - there is no age limit. Doesn't make sense to me. Ok. Done venting. Anyone ever do St. John's on their own?

Shell,
it finally popped up about 5:30. Guess the mail is just running slow.

Love the mutts new look, very distinguished:lmao:

Jeff,
have been to St. johns a couple of times but never on our own. I know there is a ferry to take you over but I have no idea where it is and what it costs.
Sorry I cant be of more help.

It might be a good idea to call and let them know about the mistake with the kids club. No point in having something to deal with once your vacation starts.

Have a great evening everyone,

Kathy

Good morning everyone,

well when I went to bed last night there was a tornado in Bellview headed our way. Pat and Steve live in Belleview so I want to try and contact her today. It pnly did minor damage but I am curious how close it was to her.

Pat if your out there, how close were you to the tornado??

They say we may get some rain, I hope so, we really need it.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Kathy:upsidedow

I am so excited that I got your cruise list... and I am on it. Will search for a good picture today of our gang. Thanks for that- it makes the cruise seem less a dream and a closer reality.
Off the Florida in a few days to see my grandfather for his 105 birthday. Wish I could sneak over for a day to the World but I am designated driver for several family members so not this time.
We are going early to Florida before the cruise and having our own Thanksgiving in a house we rented for a couple of nights in Windsor Palms. It is one of those 3 bedroom houses with its own pool. Then we can just drive over and park at the port. Hopefully Typhoon Lagoon will be open and warm while we wait for the big day- we LOVED the water parks!
Have a good Tuesday everyone.....
Judy

Anyone ever do St. John's on their own?

My Bill's brother is quite the Caribbean traveler and has gone to St. John's without a specific tour. He always plans the family vacations (non DCL) and knows where, when, and how to get to places. I will see what I can find out -- I'm curious about it myself. (This is the same guy who took Bill to Sapphire Beach for the first time. . .)

Good morning!

Shell, thanks for the updated list!!!:thumbsup2 Your new photo is fantastic!! Ya know, Mutt, if you want to go to the kids' group with Jess, you can get your own graduation cap!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

A nice, sunny -- but cooler-- day today. We had a good rain last night: much-needed moisture without the winds & storms.

DD lost ANOTHER tooth today! I may have to start feeding her baby food again!:rotfl:

Shell -- hope your sunburn is fading away. Maybe an extra mojito or two will help dull the pain.

Have a good day!

Howdy everyone,
well it has been way to quiet around here lately, so I decided to post something a little different for you to read.

Jeff, good luck at the meet!!!

Some of these are kind of cute.

Occasionally, airline attendants attempt to make the "in-flight safety lecture" and their other announcements a bit more entertaining. Here are some real examples that have been heard or reported:

"There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane..."

"Your seat cushions can be used for flotation, and in the event of an emergency water landing, please take them with our compliments."

"We do feature a smoking section on this flight; if you must smoke, contact a member of the flight crew and we will escort you to the wing of the airplane."

"Smoking in the lavatories is prohibited. Any person caught smoking in the lavatories will be asked to leave the plane immediately."

Pilot - "Folks, we have reached our cruising altitude now, so I am going to switch the seat belt sign off. Feel free to move about as you wish, but please stay inside the plane till we land... it's a bit cold outside, and if you walk on the wings it affects the flight pattern."

And, after landing "Thank you for flying Delta Business Express. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride."

As we waited just off the runway for another airliner to cross in front of us, some of the passengers were beginning to retrieve luggage from the overhead bins. The head attendant announced on the intercom, "This aircraft is equipped with a video surveillance system that monitors the cabin during taxiing. Any passengers not remaining in their seats until the aircraft comes to a full and complete stop at the gate will be strip-searched as they leave the aircraft."

Once on a Southwest flight, the pilot said, "We've reached our cruising altitude now, and I'm turning off the seat belt sign. I'm switching to autopilot, too, so I can come back there and visit with all of you for the rest of the flight."

As the plane landed and was coming to a stop at Washington National, a lone voice comes over the loudspeaker "Whoa, big fella...WHOA..!"

"Should the cabin lose pressure, oxygen masks will drop from the overhead area. Please place the bag over your own mouth and nose before assisting children or adults acting like children."

"As you exit the plane, please make sure to sure to gather all of your belongings. Anything left behind will be distributed evenly among the flight attendants. Please do not leave children or spouses."

"Last one off the plane must clean it."

And from the pilot during his welcome message "We are pleased to have some of the best flight attendants in the industry.....unfortunately none of them are on this flight!"

Heard on Southwest Airlines just after a very hard landing in Salt Lake City. The flight attendant came on the intercom and said, "That was quite a bump and I know what ya'll are thinking. I'm here to tell you it wasn't the airline's fault, it wasn't the pilot's fault, it wasn't the flight attendants' fault.....it was the asphalt!"

Overheard on an American Airlines flight into Amarillo, Texas, on a particularly windy and bumpy day. During the final approach the Captain was really having to fight it. After an extremely hard landing, the Flight Attendant came on the PA and announced, "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Amarillo. Please remain in your seats with your seatbelts fastened while the Captain taxis what's left of our airplane to the gate!"

Another flight Attendant's comment on a less than perfect landing "We ask you to please remain seated as Captain Kangaroo bounces us to the terminal."
