Holly,...Just remember that you are a part of the nanas now. That means you'll be on the same ship as me at the same time. You just never know what a mutt will do......atomic wedgies, muss up your hair, make nyah-nyahs at you in public....better be nice to the mutt, dear.....:rolleyes1

Kathy.... I didn't notice any wrinkles but if you folks had any, you got them from the caribbean sunshine. I wouldn't mind earning a few wrinkles that way.   (best remind Holly that I do have a fun sort of mischief (sp?)thing about me---YOU are already well aware of it!)

I'm back.
Went to give Minnie her bath at Petco then off to the Mall to get Greg some shoes and some scrapbooking supplies I wanted.
Then we stopped in to see a couple of model homes down the street from us. I was surprized at how nice they were. I watched them being built.

Now we are home for the rest of the day.

Holly,
Bill is Mr. Sneaky on cruises, so be very aware of people around you. He has a talent for catching people off guard with his camera.
I am plotting my revenge for a couple of photos he took.:rolleyes1

Maybe we should work together is he gets too out of hand;)

Just got done tilling the garden....with just me and me lil shovel! Someone really needs to stop me from doing STUPID things like that....especially when you can rent a tiller at home depot. I guess it earned me the right to a nice dinner out, though.

Holly...I'll rethink the atomic wedgie thing....wouldn't want to stir up trouble.

Ok....I'm putting this out to EVERYONE. At what point do you have the best feeling on the ship and at what point do you have the worst... it seems like a dumb question---when I first get on and leaving the ship duh. A lot of people find their pleasures at odd times I'll bet. For me, its waking up the first day on the ship, realizing where I am and wandering up to get me and the Woo coffee from deck 9. The worst....that night before when it finally hits home that you have to start gathering stuff up because your suitcases have to be set out. That just gave me such an ugly feeling.

Anyways.....lets hear what everyone thinks!

Ummmm Mutt, Wheres ya ticker about that ALL IMPORTANT trip you are taking in June, I mean raelly!!!!! Woo has one , she must be excited to see me (or Mike):lmao:

My favorite part of the trip is waking up on the first morning and being alllllll alone :rolleyes1

j/k honey!:rotfl:

Wendy ... this is definitely MY trip to N'awlins to see you and my other better half :rotfl2:.

But seriously folks ... best point of the trip is simply sitting down somewhere on deck 4 or 9 and seeing people that I know. That keeps me so excited when I get the chance to talk with everyone from time to time.

Worst part is the walk back to the ship on Castaway Cay, without a doubt, because I know it's all over. :sad1:

My favorite part, that is easy for me.:goodvibes

I love meeting all the people that have been posting on the thread. (yes even Bill) :woohoo
Then you run into these great fun loving people all over the ship during the course of the week. :dance3:
That adds so much enjoyment to my cruise, I really cant put it into words. I love for people to tell me what they have been doing and to see the excitement in their faces.:grouphug:

Now the not so good part is much harder,
Perhaps as we are getting on the ship at Castaway cay, Greg always reminds me in a rather firm, loud voice that this will be the LAST time we board the ship on this cruise. Those are Not my favorite words to hear.:sad1:

OR
It could be sneaky tourists with cameras with telescopic lenses taking my picture. But of course I am often mistaken for a movie star so it is undertandable when others take my photo. There is always a price to be paid for being one of "The Beautiful People".:rolleyes1

well I watched the Magic pull out tonight, she is off for a long voyage!!

Ok, lets hear from a few more of ya!!

Ok me , the best part when I hear the guy announce "Welcome home Brockelsby Family"

The worst, saying good bye to all our new friends after Pub Night, it was the hardest time I've had leaving the ship

My best time is after I get through security at the Port and know that it's all good from there on in.

My second best time is the first glass of champagne at the Promenade Lounge - something about that just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

My worst time is DEFINITELY the whole luggage pack the night b4 disembarkation. hate it. A close second on the list is waking up and seeing Port Canaveral and knowing it is mere hours til I have to leave the ship. Unlike most others I don't hate the walk back from Castaway since I still appreciate the whole last night (except for the packing) on the ship. Doing pub night and 'til we meet again on this last trip helped extend the fun.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I was only kidding! Sheesh! ;)

Best feeling onboard: every chance I get to sit on the balcony when out in the middle of the ocean, just watching the water go by, and hearing that splashing sound against the side of the ship. Worst feeling: hearing my alarm wake me up the morning we get off the ship.

Well we made it to the farmers market and flea market but then I hit a snag.

They sell many animals there, all pure bred cats, dogs, birds, lizards snakes etc... You can hold and play with them. No problem because they always seem to sell the pure breds so i dont mind playing with them and then go off home.

Today they had a cute 11 week old lab mix. They dont know what he was mixed with but the man was selling him for a neighbor. He had been there for 3 weeks and nobody had bought him so they were going to put her down after today. I was playing and holding her before i knew about her.
i had to leave it made me so depressed and sad to think about her being put down.

we bought our fruit and Greg and Peter made ajoke about dogs in general but it hit me wrong and I started to cry. I excused myself and said meet me at the paintings when your done because I want to show you a couple I want to buy.
What a rotton mothers day. Finally after 15 minutes greg and peter came around the corner to the paintings and peter was carrying this puppy. He said Happy Mothers day mom!!!

So now I have a 2nd doggie. I was worried about Minnie being possessive about us but so far she and the puppy have played great. we will just keep the food in separate areas. So it looks like it will all work out ok.
One thing I wonder about is puppies feet are already bigger than Minnie's feet.

Guess she had better be nice to puppy because in a few weeks puppy will be larger than Minnie!!! Now the potty training begins!!!

i am going to name her Sweet Pea. she is a snuggler!!!
I do feel like a mom today.

Congrats on the new addition Kathy!!! You did a heck of a nice thing.

Now the bad news.

Sammy was a lab mix. He had those big paws, y'know? He ended up right around 125lbs. Thats a LOT of snuggling, hunh? :rolleyes1

Have a great evenin kids.....

I know she is going to be BIG!!!!
At 11 weeks her feet are already as big as Minnie's and Minnie is 65 pounds.
Today I will call our vet for her a check up. He will give me an estimate. Our sons lab mix is 110 pounds.
This morning Greg is securing wires up out of reach. it is like child proofing a house before a toddler comes to visit. Lots of work!! But also lots of fun.

we all love labs, they are so gentle and such good natured.

I will try and get a photo of her face later.
The only thing that gives away she is a mix of some kind is a few darker hairs on her back and her muzzle is longer than most labs are. Maybe more features will show up as she gets older.

Can you tell I am a proud mama again!!!!
