Kathy, I think you remember me for a variety of reasons. I can go from innocent child to... Bill... :stir: :scared:

I was reviewing your recipe, and have to tell you a story. Years back, when I was young and could drink with no regard to anything :rolleyes1 , we had a friend that would make a special punch. He would soak fruit in GRAIN ALCOHOL -- moonshine! -- for a couple of days, then mix it with fruit punch and other ingredients. Well, for some reason, the grapes absorb a tremendous amount of the grain alcohol and the skin must have kept it in, so any time you ate a grape, it was like take a shot of pure grain alcohol

. There's a night I'll never get back ... :scared:

Kim: can't WAIT for Deck 9 people watching and cocktails!!!

Shell - You would have loved to hang out with my fraternity in college. We had parties where we soaked watermelon in grain overnight and then you just eat the melon. Yuummm... But the party you would have loved was what we called the 'hotel party' - in other words we had a different drink in every room of the Fraternity house.

ok....FINALLY! A moment of peace. Its been an incredibly busy week for me so I haven't been on here much---9/10 of you are going WOOHOO....1/10 is going "who is Mutt?" (pretty sure I know which grouping Woo is in).

I wanted to give Kathy her "props" for catching me monkeying around. I bow to your greatness----I feel the fear. Bravo, dear! (someday.....someday.....)

Hey Josh....I lived in a little town outside of Youngstown called Struthers, Ohio. My great grandpa worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, grandpa worked there and ...my dad did for a short time, most of my uncles as well. I can still remember grandma sweeping an inch of soot and oxide off her front porch every morning. We'd find pig iron (a waste-product of the steelmaking process) in our front yard and I'll have to see if I can dig a few up but I have actual photos of my great grandpa working near the hearth (as I recall, Grandma said he was injured at one point--a coil of steel wire came in contact with him and burned him very badly--he carried the scar the rest of his days....all in the life of a steel worker. Lots more stories but I wont bore everyone further.

Have a great night, gang.

PEACE...in your house.... Hmmmmmmm:rotfl:

No, no. That's quite fine. My father actually worked in a plant where he grew up. His father did as well, and everyone in his neighborhood worked there. The shadow of the factory loomed over all the houses. It shutdown two years ago. He manufactured many things, the company had a contract with NASA so my dad actually built things that are now orbiting the planet. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Like I said, the plant was shut down, and now it just sits there. Something that was the place to work, went down hill after the founder died 10 or so years ago. The founder was one of the hundred richest men of his time.

Good night all, plan to see all your shining faces tommorrow...

- Josh

hello everybody...i dont have much to say other then i cant wait even though its like 3 months away...

well im goin to bed soon im soo tired from the "show"[chorus line] today:dance3: ...see yall tomorrow<333

Has anyone reserved their excursions and Palo dining experiences? (Booked the REAS package so we got to book it tonight!)....

We're going Sailing in St. Maarten, Scuba in St. Thomas and Palo Dinner on Night 5 and Brunch on Day 3...

Anyone else..?

REALLY excited.. reservations opened midnight EASTERN not PACIFIC like I was told on the phone (!!)

We are lowly Castaway members and must wait a few more days to make our ressies...
We plan to do Capt. Nautica in St. Thomas, visit the spa as often as our budget will allow, Palo brunch and Palo dinner. Will be sitting by the computer at midnight when our night comes...:surfweb:
I was wishing today would be a beach day since it is just minutes away but with the heat index at over 100, it does not appeal so I think all the Dis folks here will go to the movies and stay out of the heat today. I am taking my first scrapbooking class this week- bring 8-10 pictures with something in common she said- gee that is had to decide!!!! I will be prepared for this year's cruise !!!
Look forward to visiting the posts throughout the day.... have a good one!

Bob?? He was scared of YOU!:lmao:

No, it is lawyers that fear each other. Consultants respect each others ability to have a career based on getting people to pay you to tell them what they already know!:rotfl:

Mornin everyone...
Just got done on pee partrol....bleaccchhh. I'm sure Guidos gonna be fine. He seems to have that "9 lives" syndrome. I have no doubt that Woo will come back with positive results.

Kathy? We got the boards jumpin for you....sure hope you're feeling better today.

We're FINALLY able to open up the house today and turn the air off for a little bit. Its gonna be short lived as tommorow it will be back in the 90's and humid. I guess next week holds some promise of cooler temps. We'll see.

Funny how when November comes and everyone is in the 40's 50's and even 60's, we all scramble to get to the Caribbean where its hot and humid. Must be the mickey bars that give us enough relief to handle it.

pluto:

Or, the other bars, I'm not sure which!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Kathy, we miss you...get better soon. :thumbsup2

Woo, what's up??? :surfweb:

Dreaming of Disney,

INNOCENT CHILD :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'm NOT that dumb!!!

Morning all,
Bill pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: for Guido. He's such a cutie, don't tell him that. I'm sure he would prefer Studly dog, not cutie.

I am a little better today. I am sitting up today and no aches or nausea so hopefully the worst is over:yay: I am not 100 % so I iwll be taking it easy for another couple of days.
Bill I feel all my meaness coming back, so I must be getting better:thumbsup2

Ok, everyone....I was digging through all our last years cruise papers....(I'm NOT obsessed!) Just because there are napkins, a box of DCL matches, a folded up drink cup from deck 9....and EVERY scrap that had a mouse or a DCL logo on it... anyhoo.....

I found last years Sail Away Navigator and thought of scanning and posting it. Cruise vets already know it by heart and you can find the odd navigator almost anywhere but this November 25th 06 one might give the newbies a pretty accurate look into what to expect. Any objections? Some folks might consider it a "spoiler" of sorts and would rather experience it as it comes at them. Some might look at it as another step in being prepared. Lemme know if its ok.

pluto:

Ok, here is a photo from me for the day. This is inside of diversions.
Bill, ok with me for you to post, of course I am not a newbie, I'm an oldie:lmao:

Bill and Shell, I'm worried about Guido. Did you get the test results back?
Bill, I would love to see a November navigator.

Kathy, Glad you're feeling better today. Having "the bug" really zaps the strength out of you. Take it easy and recoup.

Another lovely day. Can't say we haven't had a sunny summer this year. Elizabeth (granddaughter) is coming around 10 o'clock for a while. She is such a delight to play with.

Have a great Saturday all and I'll check in with you later.
