11-23-2008 DCL per-Thanksgiving 3 night Wonder cruise!!

I booked at catergory 12 room and that is only available guaranteed. They ususally start assigning room about 35 days out I heard. I still can't help looking.

I really like the idea of a paper chain. My niece is getting married the end of October and my son is the ring bearer. He is so excited to wear a tuxedo. That is one thing we can start counting down too. Then it is less than a month to the cruise. Can you believe how close it is to 2 months?

I don't think Mrshindig got anything worked out? I can always go for an adult beverage.

Which night is the pirate party?

Jodie

It's on the second night. So Nassau night. The old navigator I have say it starts at 9:45. The Passporter also says there is a buffet at 10:45.

Hey Everyone!!

Have I missed adding anyone new? I am checked to get the emails at home if anyone respones to this thread but it hasn't been sending them lately??

Guess what!! I still don't think we can go but just maybe, maybe we will go durning the Thanksgiving week to at least WDW because there is Free Dine!! so I have it on hold. Hoping for some Disney magic.LOL
I am thinking maybe if we drive and with gas being high it would still be much cheaper then flying, although we have never done it before. But if we stay from Sat. Nov 22nd till the next Friday Nov.28th - I got All Srars Sports( pop wasn't avl), Tickets and Free Dine for just over $1500.!!:worship: :worship: and if I do the 6 months free Finace then I think we can swing the trip!! I hope so I really want to be there for the Holidays this year!!

Did MRSHINDIG ever get a champagne toast going for he and his lovely bride??

I must have missed his original post -- but I think we should certainly do it!

The Pirate party is Nassau night. After a full day of activities, meals, shows, etc., we just couldn't make it through everything. We've seen the buffet just haven't eaten anything. Maybe this year, esp. since the boys are used to staying up a little later.

That's great about Disney's dining promotion! Have fun!

HEY MRSHINDIG....

If you are still out there, some of us would love to toast you and MRS SHINDIG!!!

This free dining thing is really throwing me off. I am trying to talk my DH into flying in on Wednesday night and doing 4 nights at CBR. I have never staying anywhere other than DVC and I was really looking forward to the Beach Club, but free dining. I did just a 1 day ticket for the 3 of us and it was under $900. I know that is not nothing, but I would love to spend another day at the World. I am dying to see the show at AK and I want to ride Toy Story Mania. I know we can't do both of these in 1 park day on a weekend.

Sorry. I am rambling. How's is everyone else's planning going?

That sounds great and hope you can do it!!:thumbsup2
If you think you will be doing it then please go ahead and make Dinner Resv. so you won't miss out on those.;) And just cancel later if you don't go for those days.

How many of you may try and go on the summer 2010 overseas whatever it may be cruise?? That is about to come open sometime in Oct.
We are going to try and go then and also spend some time with my DH's family in Sweden.

Here is the thread regarding the 2010 Northern Europe summer cruises. Andrew has put together a very nice recap on the last page on everything we know so far and a few speculations . . .

Yes, we might try to do one of these, but it depends on prices and/or dates. I would love to fly over (Aer Lingus has good 1 way fares), spend a week in the UK, and then do the transatlantic back home. I'm anxious to see what information is released on October 6/7!!

I'd love to plan now for a 2010 cruise -- but couldn't even imagine that far out. DH is active duty Air Force and we move a lot. His current job is set to end next summer, then who knows where we'll be! We spent 2 years in England -- I'd go back to Europe in a heartbeat!

I would love to do the Baltic Cruise. I have a feeling that the prices are going to be a little too scary for me. Plus, flying to Europe right now is so expensive. I would LOVE to see St Petersburg. If there was an overnight there that would be awesome. It would be a great way to cover a lot of ground without having to unpack and repack bags.

I also think the 4 and 5 day trips on the Wonder sound interesting. I don't know if I can talk my DH into the Caribbean in the summer, but I might try. We will have to see how this cruise goes. He said he might be running to get off the ship at Nassau and not want to get back on.

There was a bunch of cat 11 rooms available the other day for our cruise. They were expensive, but I was shocked at how many seemed to be available. Now they are all gone today? I swear I don't understand how these rooms are booked. I am still checking a lot for my room assignment.

Have any luck getting moved to main seating?

My DH, who originally had zero interest in cruising, now prefers it to other vacations! He would rather go on a cruise than back to WDW. I'm not quite sure why he feels this way.

No luck with the dining. How early do you have to book to get main dining originally??? This is our 3rd cruise, and each time it's been late assignment. I've been able to get it changed when onboard, so I'm not so worried. It will all work out.

I hope my husband likes it. Well, I hope I like it too. It has been a long time since I have been on a cruise and I do get a little seasick. Hopefully it has not gotten worst since I am older. I swear it's hell getting old.

I booked the cruise right at the beginning of January. I have a feeling I got one of the last spots for main dining. It seemed like I checked sortly after that and all you could book was second.

We're not getting old -- we're just "more experienced!"

I got seasick big time during our first cruise. I totally didn't expect it since I can ride thrill rides, small boats around here, etc. without problem. Second cruise I started taking the seasickness meds the day before (Bonine) and never had any problem. Remember that it takes a while for the meds to kick in, so take them early if you think you'll have problems.

We are in a 12 GTY as well. We keep looking, but it still says guaranteed. Whatever happens will be good with us - we're just happy to be on the ship.

Our dinner seating was moved about two weeks ago from late to main. :cool1: It just showed up one day on our ressie.

Less than two months!

Some days I feel very "experienced". I have bought some of the medicine, but I want to try it before the cruise. I just have not found the right time. I want to make sure it won't have some weird affect on me.

I never really got seasick. I remember I was on a Carnival cruise and I tried playing black jack one night. That was a really bad idea for me. I think I might be like you, it's the subtle movements that bother me.

I know the assignments don't normal come out until 35 days before, but I can't help looking. Congrats on getting main seating.

I can't believe it is less than 2 months. It seems like I booked this cruise 3 years ago.

I just checked and we got moved to the main seating also! My co-workers now officially think I am nuts, I keep talking about this cruise and Disney in general ALL the time. Thankfully, there are a few other Disney nuts there also...that GET IT!:rotfl:
