11/22 UPDATEd LIST & CHECK 1st post , Our 5th year of sharing DVC Christmas Tree,

Oh man - we missed out on signing up this year ... we so enjoyed having a tree last year as it really adds to the enjoyment of the holidays at WDW.

I would imagine you are busy organising this service so please accept my apologises for asking this question. How exactly does it work?
We are arriving from the UK on Dec 1st for two weeks staying at OKW. Two members and two visitors. The visitors are our guests and it will be their first time at WDW and we have been trying to work out how to add a little Christmas spirit to our apt. When I read your posting I thought this could be a way of adding that Christmas spirit. Please give me details on how it works and the cost.

Check out post # 1 on this thread. It's too late this year to participate. I have heard that some people have ordered a small tree from WalMart and had it delivered.

And another great big thank you to Laurabearz. As of now we are the first family on the list for tree 1 at OKW. You are making our vacation even more magical!

Your tree has been shipped and should be there when you arrive I think a page or two back I posted a picture of what the two boxes look like. One for the tree and one for the ornaments, lights, extention cords etc....

OKW Tree #2 is on its way via FedEx. It is scheduled to arrive Friday, Nov. 23.
There are two boxes - one with the tree; one with garland and lights. The tree is decorated; hopefully it will get there in pretty good shape.

Hi,

Just wanted to let the VWL #1 tree people know that the tree has been delivered today Nov. 20, 2007 at 3:45pm. I hope there is not to much trouble finding it at the resort if it sits there for a few days.

***WITHFAITH50 - what does your stocking look like??? I think we might be next door neighbors!! The door next to us has a red stocking on it and we've been dying to know if it's a fellow DVC DISer!***

Well, we bought our tree yesterday, set it up and we love it. Now here's the weird part:

We're currently at AKV, the tree is decorated for VWL, and it's BCV Tree #3!!

The upload is taking forever, so I'll try to post a photo later for the other BCV#3 tree families.

We're spending most of our trip at VWL, so it's really more themed for that (and to be honest, our family room at home ) but even though it has white lights on it now, we did buy a box of colored lights in case your families prefer those.

OKW Tree #2 was delivered this morning!

Good news and bad news. The bad news is that bell services/front desk could not find the tree when we checked in on Tuesday (Nov20). The good news is that we can confirm that the SSR #1 tree has arrived. It was delivered to our room sometime on Thursday (Nov22), because it was sitting in our room when we returned late that night after a full day at the parks. Unfortunately, we were checking out early Friday morning, so we returned the two (2) tree boxes (unopened) to the front desk (bell services would have nothing to do with them). We marked our names off the list and asked the front desk to hold them for the next name on the list. Not complaining, just explaining. Thanks to the tree donator and to wdwstar for your efforts. Maybe next year!
