Stacie said she spoke with someone at DCL about having a large group meeting, I think she said, at Studio Sea.

I don't think anything is set in stone yet. Here is the email Stacie got back from DCL.

I have your request for meeting space for your cruise on Nov 22. I am
sure we can find a place for your group of 120 to meet from 2:30 to 3:30
on embarkation day. I just will not be able to confirm which venue
until closer to the sail date. Were you needing anything special or
just the room? I will keep this request on file and get back to you at
a later date. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have until
then.

I haven't heard anything back from DCL about where our meet will be but I was assured that we'd have a spot.

The fish extenders don't require anything fancy. It really is whatever you want to make. Here's what we had last time, I sewed but it could have been made with fabric glue:

Some of the things we got last time were postcards from different towns, ink pens, notepads, candy, bubbles, glow sticks, Christmas ornaments, stickers, tatoos, and mini coloring books. We had one per family last time. I had made a list of the room numbers and how many people, for example we had 5 people in 2 rooms, so on the list it was two adults, DS15, DD12, and DS1, that way if there were things specifically for the kids, people knew how many to put in. We hung ours up the first day and left them up during the cruise. Some days we got 2 or 3 things some days none. I had brought a little something for everyone each day but we only had 6 or 7 families.

ETA: Lora I'm so glad your DD is feeling better. Judy glad to hear the mugs were saved and no broken bones!

There was a sentence that caught my eye-"Do you need something special or just the room?" HMMM Let's see

more happy drinks--i guess "non-happy" happy drinks for the kids

I second the Souflee and Flounders and add a couples massage in the cabanas (since we have all that Flounders time.)

We've never done the massages, we were thinking about the couples one where you can use the hot tub on the private verandahs. But, I already know what my doctor is going to say about a hot tub and pregnancy. Maybe a warm tub??

Just do the couples massage. We did that last trip without paying the extra for the hot tub room. It was really nice. I loved prenatal massages. It really helped with the back pain.

Shay--Being in FL do you guys go to the parks often? Is your DD2 afraid of the characters? DS liked them about 50/50 in December, not sure how he'll be this time. He will have turned 2 the week before the cruise.

I'm glad to see people are coming back to post. I was beginning to wonder where everyone went.
Thanks for the photo of the FE. I think I can come up with something for our room.
Teresa - Steelers report to St. Vincent College tomorrow for training camp. Let the games begin!!!!!!!!!!! (I still miss Bill Cowher!)
We lost our beloved Carnegie Mellon Professor Randy Pausch yesterday to cancer. I don't know if anyone is familiar with him but he gave "the last lecture", wrote the book and has been on Oprah, all of the AM news programs, Diane Sawyer etc. talking about how to live. He was an incredible person. The entire town is in mourning - not unlike when Mr. Rogers passed.
Here's my wish list:
Unlimited Konk Koolers.
Unlimited Mickey Bars.
George Clooney.
Unlimited sunshine - not a drop of rain for 7 days.
Steel Drums and/or reggae playing always!

Training Camp, yes I have been following the news on the Steelers webpage. I miss Bill Cowher too! I forgot to tell you the year we went to training camp, we met him and had pictures and autographs with him. What a nice nice man. I think he'll come back to coaching someday.

Both of our kids went through the program and we heard the same thing. I was a smoker at the time and that was rough. They never left me alone but I'm glad I quit.

Hi there, basically any time you post a new message it "bumps" us up to the top of the cruise meets list. So you just type bump, if that's all you want to do or post any new message for the same result.

On the medicinal purposes...I had my healing glass of merlot this evening after the kids were in bed! Feeling much better now.

Someone stole the DCL antenna bopper off of my husbands car yesterday. He was very upset and afraid to tell me! Luckily I had several extra boppers (none were cruise line however) and he chose an Animal Kingdom one. He's hoping he can get a replacement this trip. He has had that one for almost 3 years and the only time he takes it off is to put his Mickey Steelers helmet one on. He said he's not going to chance that one ever again and will hang it from the mirror this season.

I'm off to find appropriate fabric for our FE. Have a good day everyone!
