11/22/08 Thanksgiving 2008 cruise thread. Double Dipping Travelling Turkeys!

Has anyone seen the thread about the Magic and Wonder being at CC on the same days? I went to portime.com, the site where the person found this information and it showed the Wonder being there on one of the days WE will be there! I called DCL and they said it must be a mistake because his computer said the Wonder would be at sea that day (11/28). Whew! I don't even think that would be possible, but it scared me for a second.

Well, as much as I like to share, I wouldn't want to share a very small island with that many people.

I can't believe that we're geting so close. It's almost time for that final payment. But then it will the doc dance , and cruising time

I just tried to go to the site but wont let me now. I hope this is only temporary.

Ahhh! I don't know what happened to it, it was huge when I first posted it. I'm not on the computer that has my print program. I'll have to fix it tomorrow.

Hey all, it's me dutch_girl_scout (Stacie) with a new name. I had to get a new user name because the DIS has been banning people on the community board and I was one of them. No, I wasn't a bully, didn't personally attack anyone, never even got any points, just posted some sarcastic answers in regards to the bannings and I went poof along with 104 other people. Anyway, I'm over it now, I just made up a new user and am moving on (trying to stay off the CB). However they want to run their website is up to them, I just don't think it's right.

I had pulled down the website to add a "manifesto" of the banned to it but I changed my mind. None of you need dragged into the mess, so now I need to fix it and put it back up, hopefully this afternoon while the little one takes his nap.

I am still very patiently waiting for the WDW site to put out the November park hours so I can make my ADRs next week. Allegiant Air still hasn't come out with November schedules either. I tell you someone is testing my patience.

Sorry for the confusion, I'll try to behave myself (at least until the cruise).

Sorry about being banned. Can you ask to be re-instated? I got banned from the Rent/trade board because I didn't "Bump" my post correctly. I'm a little slow sometimes.

Also, watch Alliegent air. I was over at the transportation board and someone just posted that Alliengent moved their flight time from 7:25PM to 8AM. Ouch. Also, the website is wrong. They AREN'T taking reservations until 10/31 as posted. People were freaking that their airport had been eliminated.

They aren't reinstating anybody, they've banned members not just from a specific board.

I saw the post yesterday about Allegiant, they have a weird way of doing things but they are the only direct flight for us so I'll wait.

I will PM you the website address once I get it back up and going.

Bad news-The website now has a new address. I pulled it down on Saturday and now today when I went to reactivate it, the adress is different. I don't want to post the address here since there is personal info and pictures. The new address is a variation of the old here is my attempt to tell you the new address, if it is too cryptic just PM me or e-mail me and I will get you the address.

I'm a bit confused. When I went to the old address just now (so I could fill in the blanks for the new address) the traveling turkeys home page appeared. When I tried the new address, I got the "website cannot be found" message.
AF5FAM asked me to send her the web address. I guess I'll just send her both to be safe.

How are "we" doing on our change collection? We are up to $202. Thanks to McDonalds sweet tea for $1 + tax. Depending on if I get it in VA or WV, I get back 90 or 94 cents when I give them $2.

Sandy, We have never done magnets before. This one is wonderful. Do you sell them? We would be interested in two of them.

Hi Lora. Thanks. You can just save the image to your computer and print it out. I buy Avery magnet sheets at Walmart, but some people print their signs on card stock. I think someone mentioned using the rolled magnet strip that you cut and stick on the back of the signs. Have you ever been to these threads?

Sandy, I see you added some eye candy to your signiture line.

I have gone back to working after not having a regular 9-5 job since Aug. last year. I was taking care of twin girls though, that was work but not the same. So I made sure they gave me the ok to take time off for the cruise. My cruising buddy also works here so they will be down 2 thankfully in different departments.
Gosh this is going to be so hard when this is all done as I have focused so much time and effert in my cruise. I guess I should rebook on bord huh

I can't wait to meet all of you either. I know it's a little early to start thinking about cruise meets onboard, but I was wondering where everyone had their meets on previous cruises. On my last cruise we were supposed to meet on the first day near the basketball area, but nobody showed up. We also had a wine and cheese party on the deck 7 aft verandah. That was a lot of fun. We all brought a bottle of wine (from home) and ordered the All Hands On Deck cheese plate. That was the only time the adults got together. The kids were always calling each other and meeting up at the Oceaneer's Lab though.
