I just had a dream last night that it was still 77 days away, but for some reason we were all in the car on the way to Port Canaveral to get on the ship. I started freaking out because I hadn't packed anything. :scared1:

I haven't applied for our passports yet and I get these mini panic attacks everytime I think about them. I need to get that done so I stop having nightmares.

I don't think you have to have passports. Just the old ID requirements. If it makes you feel any better we got ours in May. We sent our applications in on a Saturday and received the passports 2 Mondays later - exactly 9 days turn around time. I was very surprised they arrived that soon.

Ken - I am now tracking Fridays and Mondays too! Thanks!! I need to obsess over this trip a little more!!:woohoo:

We aren’t doing passports, although I sometimes worry about that. :scared:
Is anyone going to the Tulum ruins in Cozumel? DH is going and is really looking forward to it.
When looking at a map of Castaway Cay, I noticed an observation tower near Serenity Bay, Does anyone know if this is new or I just missed it before?
Dry Dock for the Magic tomorrow.:earsboy:
We're doing the Tulum ruins (7 of us, I think).
Yes, the observation tower is new. I don't know when they built it though. We're planning to bike out there on one of the CC days.

I know we don't technically need them, unless something happens and we have to fly back from one of the islands. With my luck, you never know...
Yes, I did hear that turn around time has been less than 2 weeks. I won't stop worrying until I have them in my hand though. ;)

Guys - Go to Deb's allears.net and click on Deb and Steve's cruise. Check out the photos taken today of the storm (Hanna) they are running into. The photos of the pools are amazing. Glad I'm not on that one and praying for good weather on ours!
plutoluvsfifi Linda - DO NOT let DH see these photos!!!!!!!!:scared1: :sad2:

Sandy - Thanks for the link. Don't know why I didn't do that. I think I was so amazed and in awe of the photots I wasn't thinking!

Sandy . . . . . .

WOW, exactly how I dont want our cruise to be. I have been sailing all of my life and have been in that kind of weather and it stinks.

Stacie,

I don't have the password to the TT website. Would you mind pm'ing it to me. Also, thanks for putting me on Wed for the FE exchange.

For Everyone: We have booked the dolphin swim with Dolphin Discovery for 12and 1pm. We're going to do it independently. Will anyone else be there?

We're are planning to do the eco tour on CC on Sun at 11. My dh isn't really that interested because it's guided. He would rather take off and do his own thing, but too bad... :0). On Friday, we'll bike, snorkel and float around as the depression sets in.

I will not let my mother see those pictures!!!

Kind of gives you an idea of what a flow rider or wave pool on the Magic would look like. I can't imagine what it feels like to be on board right now. The last night of our last cruise, when we were crossing back over we had it to where the closet doors were rolling (and so were our stomachs) and the ship was creeking. I know those weren't anywhere near 20-30 foot swells, guess that's why September cruises are so cheap.

Judy- you bet DH wont be looking at those photos. He'd have to take a Dramamine just to look at them. I'm a bit worried about how he will fair on his ferry boat trip the day he goes to see Tulun.

Knowing Mark,I'm sure he'll have some remedy at the ready!
Tim will never see the photos either.

DH has the Eco Tour on Friday at noon.

VAGal--I saw you were posting about seeing the Magic in dry dock. How do they do it? Do they pull it like a big slip and then drain the water? Is it enclosed? My DD and I were trying to figure out how it's done and if the Magic will be safe from Hannah, Ike, and Josephine.

Where is dry dock?

We did the jet ski eco tour on our second cruise. DH and DD shared a jet ski, I had one on my own. I had a hard time keeping up with the group because the salt water would spray up in my face and then I couldn't see. I'm sure I looked very pathetic out there. There was another gal and I way in the back of the group. The leader that was bringing up the end of the tour was getting annoyed at us because we were so slow. And I can tell you they get very angry if you run the jet skis up on the sand bar without shutting them off. :confused3 You make one stop and listen to a very short talk about the island. It's neat because you go a pretty long way and get really close to the ship. VAGal--Maybe a bandana would work to cover your head?

Drydock is here in Norfolk, VA. It was scheduled to come in yesterday and the weather is holding out.

We should be able to see her from the ferry and around the shipyard. They bring her into a vault lock thingie (I have no idea what it's called), connect the stuff to lift her up and then drain the water. I've watched several on the travel channel, but never actually witnessed one. I missed seeing the Wonder because I was so busy catching up at work in preparation for our Magic cruise. We were lucky enough to be sailing on the Magic when the Wonder just came back from Norfolk in 2006. They serenaded each other and the Wonder staff waved us off. It was pretty cool. Oh, OT - Anyway, I'm super excited about going. The storm activity might not have any bearing since once she's in, she's in. She was scheduled in yesterday - right? I'm sure they can alter their schedule or whatever to make sure they get done what they need to. The weather held off so I know she's bound to be here. I just hope the storms lessen in intensity for all of us here. We just typically get this kind of stuff. :scared:

I'm afraid the bandana would fly off my head. How long was the ride? I didn't realize they make you jet ski like little marching ants.

Good Morning. I'm up and waiting to leave for the outlets to meet my sister.

VAGAL - Would one of those tight skull cap/doo rag things protect your head? It would be tight and not fall off while you jet ski. Who cares what you have on your head as long as you're having fun! Make a new fashion statement!
If you're in Virginia you must live near CW battlefields. Which one's are you close to?

Judy

Got my answer - you're in Norfolk. I love Va. I go tramp around battlefields!
My nephew is in the Navy and currently in Charleston. He is a nuclear chemist and is moving to Norfolk in a few months. He had the opportunity to go to Hawaii but decided to stay on the east coast to stay close to family.
Now that he'll be in Va, next time the Wonder or Magic come in perhaps I can go visit!

Good morning all, just 11 short weeks away and we will all be waking up to start our vacation on the Magic.:woohoo: :cool1: :cheer2:
