11/22/08 Thanksgiving 2008 cruise thread. Double Dipping Travelling Turkeys!

I am not a huge poster on the site, but is anybody invited to the cruise meets? Our last cruise we met near the Mickey Pool an hour before the cruise took off from the port and had a blast meeting everybody. We also did some bar-hoping in key west with a group.

Absolutely!

DS and I went on the same excursion (without DH) as another DIS family who had a boy the same age as DS and we had a great time.

Busy day today...ds had his first travel baseball game...which he lost And then we had some friends over for a bbq. They just left and filnally got the opportunity to now wish.....

Thanks SM, my DW found a lovely no sugar, low carb birthday cake at Acme. It was good. Just came back from being out with friends, actually had three beers with no problems. Down 45 lbs. so far, another 25 or so before we go is my goal. Now if I can get my shoulder right and get back to work, I'll be happy. Thanks for the birthday wish, love you guys, see you soon.

Yes my DW is the best. She takes good care of me, and never lets me forget it, lol. The three beers I had in about 6 hrs. had no real effect except tasting pretty good. came home and blood sugars were just great, I have to make sure I drink low carb beers. Just preping for the cruise. Still walking every day. Good news and bad, had to trash almost my entire wardrobe, nothing fit, had to buy all new. Dropped two sizes. By the time the trip comes, I hope not to be mistaken ID for the whale watch cruise. Haven't heard from Mike "cheysdad" guess he has his nose to the grind stone saving up for the bar bill and Palo's . Hope your holidays went went well, talk to you soon.

Was anyone planning to do the waverunner excursion on CC? We were thinking about it, but now I'm hearing they've cancelled it on many of the recent cruises. Someone said they're probably having problems with the vendor who provides the waverunners. I hope they get it worked out by our cruise. Then again, it would save us $$ if it wasn't available.

Hi, I have not posted on this thread in a long time...but we are booked on this cruise along with 70 of our closest friends (more on us later on)

I wanted to comment on this post. I just did the Westbound Panama sailing (15 days and it was heaven!!) and our first stop was Castaway Cay. I have been there 8 other times and I have always wanted to try this excursion. Well I did it this time. I rode with my 18 year old son and it was not at all what I thought it was going to be. They call it the EcoTour (or something like that) and I thought we would go around the island. Instead, we went really really fast (scared the cr*p out of me) and we went out really far into the ocean. On the way back, we stopped in the middle of the ocean and they talked about the island. I was really happy to get back....but my 18 year old son had an absolute BLAST!!

So i guess it depends on what you are looking or if you will like this or not....
