Oh yeah, as to that beaver, unless you are Oregon State fans....bet that was a lot of fun that would not work terribly well on a Disney ship....

A few comments - no shortage of rain here - it is deluging outside.

As to HSM3 - Mason will love it and Lisa will tolerate it by taking him to it. I will not be in attendance and lets put it this way, I also have managed to never have seen SNF - and if anyone has to ask what that is I will really feel old.

As to buying clothes, Lisa always does that lest she be seen in some out fit that was in a picture from a previous cruise...I cannot win that argument so I don't bother trying too hard.

And for this weekend, we made it thru DS's annual checkup at 8 this morning, even surviving the booster shot, though it took 3 of us to hold him down, made it to the stadium a little after 9 - we know the doctor and he is a huge Oklahoma fan so he got us Hurricane fans out fast. Survived the tailgate and Miami won again, although we got poured on in the 4th quarter.

And tomorrow, we are doing what is called the Herald (for the Miami Herald) Hunt...when Dave Barry and Tom Schroeder (formally from Miami and now w/the Washington Post) host the annual puzzle game that turns several square blocks into a giant gameboard for 10,000 people...If you have never heard of this, check out HeraldHunt.com....and for those of you who know Dave Barry, you can imagine how devious some of the puzzles can be over a 5 hour game.

Only the very first Star Wars. Didn't like it. Liked looking at Harrison Ford and Billy D. Williams though! I preferred Harrison in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Liked that series. Not a big Sci Fi fan.

Well I have seen all the Star Wars movies, all the Tolkien ones too (in fact I have the extended versions as well) and I have had a Big Mac, though I don't care for McD's and have not since college, but I will occasionally survive a meal at Wendy's.

But I was a teenager in the hard core 70's and to me and my friends, the term was Disco S_ _ ks.

No, I actually have narrow taste in movie genre's limited to action/spy/sci-fi and some comedy, but not the Woody Allen sophisticated stuff...I just happen to be a font of absolutely worthless trivia and have a fairly good memory.

Bolt is bering released in theaters on November 21, but it is a 3D movie. I actually asked my husband the other day if it is only being released in 3D and he was not sure.

But I know someone lives in or near Las Vegas and the first week of November Bolt Across America will be in Las Vegas.

I live in Vegas and my oldest DD and her boyfriend are mgrs for a theater so I will find this out.

Judy, If I remember right, the beaver was holding a sword. I have no idea why

We went to an awesome halloween party last night. These people spare no expense in decorating. I went as the grim reaper. It reminded me of my old job as public works director for our county. I was the lucky one that told people they were getting fired for whatever dumn thing they did.

Is anybody else bringing an underwater camera? I read somewhere that you should throw a Desiccant pac (those little pillow thingies that you find in pill bottles that says do not eat) in the case to help absorb any water that might get in. You can buy them on ebay for about $5 for 100 of them which was a bit of overkill. Long story short, I stopped by wallgreens yesterday and they gave me a handfull of them. I only need one, so if anybody else wants one, please let me know.

The weather is finally coming around down here. Highs in the mid 70's lows around 50. I love Florida!!

FYI for anyone who is a serious over-planner like me. I was doing some research on the time changes we will be experiencing in the different ports and here is what I found:

- Grand Cayman is in eastern time zone and does not participate in daylight savings time

- Cozumel is in central time zone and does participate in daylight savings time

- The navigators posted from the last set of double dip cruises were during daylight savings time (they set their clocks back for three days, which scared me a bit because we already have late seating for dinner)

- For our cruise (no more daylight savings time) we should only have to set the clocks back 1 day while in Cozumel.

The sword was probably left over from the cherry in his Manhattan! I do want to hear more about this when we're onboard you know. I'm sure there's a lot more to his travels than you can write here!

Ken, you could move north and apply for our Public Works director's job. I don't think he's going to have it much longer. He keeps messing up and he just got an additional 4 day suspension for spouting off the the press and p***ing off the mayor! Our mayor is very young (I think 28). He wan by default. The other mayor died in office and he took over, he was chair of City Council.

I'm bringing a waterproof camera. Are they tiny little pouches? Mine is a Canon and it doesn't have a separate case around it. It's all one piece. Don't know where I'd put it. Bring an extra just in case, I'm sure you know something I don't!

Our highs starting tomorrow may not even make it to the 50's. They are predicting snow Mon and Tues! The ground is still too warm so it won't accumulate but I hate it just the same.

That is amazing!!! I knew the dolphins had moved but didn't realize how much!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have to stop soon or they'll be crashing into the beach.

ADDENDUM: I just viewed them together and I realized the boat is moving not the dolphins. Cut me a break, I just got up!!!! I stayed up late last night watching TV.

I'll tell you, I will be glad next week when we tell DD she is going so I can finally start printing some of our stuff out. Its just too risk right now. We finally decided how we are going to tell her. I made a card with the princesses on the front that reads "Roses are red and Violets are Blue, the Princesses are going on a Disney Cruise"

and the inside reads "And so are you"

I know its a bit trite, but she's going to be 7. I ran into a utube video where they told there 13 year old daughter she is going on a DCL cruise, this is awesome:

I can't wait to hear how your daughter reacts when you tell her! Make sure you post about it.

It's pretty nice here in Kansas today. The rain finally stopped a few days ago, and the weather has been mild. I'm still ready for caribbean weather though.

I can't believe how close our cruise is now. Now that we're doing the whole surgery thing and all of that, I'm kind of in panic mode about the cruise. I'm nervous about getting everything ready, making sure we all have clothes that fit, packing, etc. I'm also worried about getting all of my homework done between now and then for my grad classes. I think this whole thing with Brianna has just turned me in to panic mode. I was fine before all of this happened. Now it just seems like I have so much to do with so little time. My lesson plans for a week will be harder than any grad class I've ever taken. For any of you that are teachers, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Oh well, we'll get through it all and will soon be having our drink of the day on deck 10 while watching for dolphins as we sail away with the disney ship horn in the background.
