10th Anniversary

My wife and I will be spending our 10th anniversary and her 40th birthday at the RPH in mid July. We have stayed at the PBH and the HRH before and have enjoyed it very much. This trip will be with out our kids.

Does anyone have any suggestions for our trip? I thought we may eat at Mythos one evenging. We are non-drinkers but would like to make this trip special. We have booked a standard room with the entertainment rate. I told the booking people that it was our anniversary. They said that that would note this. Is there any chance that we might get upgraded?

I celebrated my birthday in March at Portofino. Upon check-in my husband paid a visit to concierge and made some special plans like dinner and spa treatments and a cake. The cake was incredible!

I would either call prior and get in touch with concierge or do it when you arrive. They have some great suggestions! He also surprised me by decorating the room with balloons and streamers and party hats he smuggled into the suitcase from home w/o my knowing!

You may have to have a very early dinner or lunch at Mythos. I have not seen them open late in a while. Being summer maybe their hours have changed but do give a call ahead.

As far as an upgrade, just ask and if they can I'm sure they will. If you have your heart set on a better room you may want to upgrade before going. Make sure you have a Loews Card.

Since you're staying at RPR - why not Tchoup Chop for dinner? It is a beautiful restaurant and we had excellent service.

I HIGHLY recommend Mama Della's for your special dinner. It's wonderful dining exp and very romantic. I would also book a massage for the two of you at the greenhouse spa in PBH. Its a wonderful exp too. Have a wonderful trip and Happy Anniversary.
