Hello all! My name is Shannon, and I grew up loving all things Disney. My hubby and I have 5 great kids, 3 homegrown and 2 adopted. Our oldest boys have given up a LOT to welcome two little sisters with special needs into our family.
My husband and I decided to plan a trip with each boy; one trip would be my best childhood memory to share, and one trip would be his favorite childhood memory. My oldest turns 12 in March - and that's the magic age at which we decided I'd get to share my favorite childhood memory: Disney!!!!!
Since Disney is my happy place, I take a trip once a year by myself to recharge and regroup. My boys have always been jealous. They have all been to WDW once, but it was when they were small. In looking forward to taking a trip with my oldest boy in April 2016!!!
The official countdown is 102 days until we leave!!! We are staying at the Swalphin, and I can't wait! The fun part is telling him. It will be a secret until the night before we leave!!!!
I think I would like to stage a scavenger hunt to tell him what his "big" birthday present is. (He turns 12 on 3/20. We plan to tell him that his big present got delayed in shipping, then tell him about WDW on the night before!). Any great scavenger hunt ideas you might have would be great! This trip is going to be epic, and I can't wait to tell all about it here!
