101 Ways My Son Entertained Himself at WDW--The Last Day--New 11/18

I asked K to take a picture and I guess he was distracted because this is what I got.
Men :rotfl2:

When it was time to order, I ordered the artisan breads as an appetizer. (Artisan Breads and Spreads - freshly baked breads served with an arugula and chive pesto, sun-dried tomato, roasted vegetable and roasted garlic spreads)
David had them they're huge aren't they!!!

The service was horrible. I don’t mean I had to wait a minute for my water to be filled, I mean, the whole table had nothing to drink most of the time.
That is bad and to keep going on about the tip too, that just makes you want to leave nothing:mad:

Now what? What should we do next?
Oooooh I think Muppets :thumbsup2

Sorry you had such bad service, we had a great waiter when we went to MM and the food was pretty good too. I guess it is the luck of the draw. I would have been really annoyed at the constant reminder about the tip. He would have gotten nothing from me for two reasons 1)no existent service 2)harassment about the tip. :snooty:

Like I said, the food and drinks were wonderful if you can stand the service. What was so annoying on top of the bad service is how many times our server stopped by and told us that tip was NOT included. We know. And we’re not tipping well anyway.
Dinner’s over. Now what? What should we do next?

See, this is one of the times to be grateful that tip isn't included, because you could actually get back at him! :cool1: Sorry you had to deal with the lousy service, tho.

:rotfl2: @ the pic- it's something my DH would do! I can't bring myself to try MM because we live where there is some awesome Italian food and I'm scared I won't like it! :confused3

Pshhh...bad service :snooty: .
You wanna talk about another bad service? Here in Navarre [gulf coast Florida] where I live, I went out to eat with my grandparents, my parents, my sister and her boyfriend and we paid, left a tip, and we got in the car, were about the pull onto the road and the
waitress ran out to our car very quickly
wanna know what she said?!?!
ANYONE?!

"This isn't enough. This isn't 20% because the tip isn't included in the check"

My grandpa was MAD. He just threw a 20 at her and then drove off because we all knew that he put a tip out for her.

It's just plain rude.
People don't HAVE to give you a high tip.

Cute pictures! :p Glad your food was good even though your service was not. I get really annoyed with bad service and I'm glad you tipped accordingly!
Thanks about the pics. :goodvibes
I get mad about the service, but I'm too much of a weenie to say anything. :sad2:

What nerve these CMs have. They will regret it, if they dare remind me about the tip. I have a horrible habit of doing the opposite of what I am told. I've always been that way. Quite a rebel. :moped: pirate:
You show 'em! :rotfl2:

We had a similar experience here last year---and no one would go back this year at all. Sorry it was crappy for you too. We thought the food was ok---but not worth the long wait for a table, noisy and crowded room, and a drink-free evening.
That's probably true. It's not worth it... :sad2:

I would have said remind me one more time and you will $0 tip.

I only had the cm's tell me when we sat down and they explained the plan.
Well, it was the beginning of the new year, but still. Did he really feel like he was getting a tip? Geez! :snooty:

Your MM trip sounds alot like mine.... but I didn't enjoy my steak :(
I'm sorry to hear you had the same treatment and then to not even like the food. That stinks. :sad2:

Nope... not the Muppets.

Now I'm wondering what I tipped... :confused3 I know it wasn't good, though.

That's true. It should hold them more accountable, you'd think.

You probably wouldn't then. :upsidedow

Well, the pictures are cute! Sorry about the service. Phhhbbt.
Thanks, CE! :p

We had someone say we didn't leave enough money once when I left the whole bill and the tip. i had to repay $20. I was so mad!

Let’s head over to the Spectacle of Lights!
I wasn’t sure this was really something I cared to do, since it was so cold. Now that it was dark, I was dreading being outside for one minute. We went ahead and headed over to the entrance and were so surprised at how beautiful it was. When we walked up, the lights were all twinkling to a Christmas song. The kids thought it was great, but, once again, the cold just overshadowed wanting to stay. :sad2:

K and I had talked about going to see Fantasmic. I wanted to take the kids, but I knew they were already miserable outside for that little while. We decided that they wouldn’t miss it, if they didn’t know about it. B even heard me saying I feel so bad we’re not doing everything I planned, and interjected that they were happy with the trip and it wasn’t a big deal to miss a few things. So sweet, that girl is…

We headed towards the entrance, but decided to duck into one last store before we said “bye” to Disney Hollywood Studios. I bought my Sister-in-law a magnet because she forgot to grab one when she was at WDW in March. B bought a pen that if you swung it around the Tinkerbelle flew around the pen. I also bought both of the girls a Minnie Mouse ballerina. (Sadly, B’s ballerina was the only thing broken on our trip home.)

As we walked to the bus stop, I looked at my receipt because my total seemed higher than I thought it should be. Sure, enough, the cashier had charged me for something the girl in front of me bought, but ripped the tag off and left on the counter. I guess the CM thought it was in my stuff, and charged me for it too. K was sweet enough to go back and fix it. Luckily, they remembered me and what happened made sense, so they gave us a refund.

On the bus, I opened a package of glow bracelets and passed them out to the kids. We ended up making bracelets and giving them to all the kids on the bus. It was fun to share. We were in our room by 7:50, but poor K didn’t get back for another hour. We watched some t.v., but kept having problems with it turning off again. I called the front and they assured me they would take care of it the next day.

*Sidenote: I forgot we had to call the front desk and report our faucet in the shower the first day. It would start on regular temperature and slowly turn by itself to burning hot. It was scary since my little ones usually turn the water off themselves, but I didn’t realize it was turning so hot. :scared1: The next night, it still did it, so we had to call twice to finally get the faucet fixed.

After the kids went to sleep, K was upset and I asked him why, and he said he forgot to call and confirm the Limo he had ordered for the girls and I to ride in to BBB/MK in the morning. I guess he had to call by 5:30 and that was when we were at dinner, so he forgot. Poor guy. He was upset, but I was really touched that he even thought of it. :lovestruc

Tomorrow- Our best day in WDW!!! :wizard:

I love B reassuring you they were having a good time.

I really want to see the lights, sorry it was still so cold :cold:

Glad it got sorted but what a pain having to go back!!!

Yep, K and B were both very sweet. Really, everyone was really on their best behavior the whole trip. :goodvibes

If only you asked TE how to pack for the weather ... ;)

Sounds like this just was not your day. Does it get better? Please just tell me now that it does!

Pretty pictures of Osbourne lights! :goodvibes
Sorry you missed Fantasmic. B was very sweet. :lovestruc
A good excuse for another trip!!

What was the differance in the reciept balance? enough that it was worth going back? That was sweet of K to go back for you.
REALLY sweet of him to order you girls a limo for BBB! Did you know about it beforehand? Even if he forgot to confirm it, it was the thought that really counted!

Sorry you missed Fantasmic but your kids are so sweet telling you that they are having a great time even if they miss some things.
