I started reading this eons ago, then lost you, and now I'm catching up again. LOVE the changes! :thumbsup2 It wouldn't be a trip to WDW without some changes. (plus they look so festive:santa: )

And happy birthday to your son!:goodvibes

Well, welcome back! I had to go back to see what you meant, and they DO look festive, don't they? :santa:

It's the same as a campfire sing-a-long at Fort Wilderness. I can't wait to see the Osbourne Lights, especially now that you said it's so great. :wizard:

Thank you! I thought it was great too. It's much less rushing to get there at 2 than 7p.m. :woohoo:

Yesterday I did some printing for the trip. I printed my notebook sheets I'll take with us that says all our ADR confirmation numbers, touring plans, etc. I wish I could post them, but they have personal information on them. :confused3
I also made countdown calendars for the kids to post on their doors and cross off a day each night. I was trying to make my own, but I got burnt out trying to make the perfect calendar. This was just so much easier. :thumbsup2
Here's the link to make your own: Cute calendars

I promised I'd talk about the plans I have to add special Disney Magic, so I'll do that too right now. :wizard: It really does tie in since I printed out the letters yesterday. See how that works? :rolleyes1
One thing I wanted to do was surprise the kids with different activites we're doing during the trip. They don't know we're going to Cinderella's castle or BBB, going on a carriage ride or doing a campfire sing-a-long. My hubby doesn't know he's getting the Ride Along Richard Petty Driving Experience either. I decided to give the kids little bags and invitations from the characters they would be seeing that day. For example: Cinderella wrote a little note (with free Disney clipart) inviting the girls to get a Princess makeover and join her for breakfast at the castle. Then in the gift bag, there will be little crowns they can have incoprated into their hair-dos.
Going to Ohana? Lilo and Stitch invites them to come over and have dinner at their place. The bag has leis in it. Get it?

So, now how do I explain that no one snuck into our room while we were sleeping and left the bag? I don't want to freak the kids out. DH suggested leaving them at the desk each morning and picking them up when we get back, but I don't want to depend on the desk to help us. I also don't want to get them super excited right before bed. So, we're going to say that Dad or Mom went down to the desk after they went to sleep because there was a message there was a package. Now, how do I get everyone to sleep before us? :headache: I dunno yet... I'll think about that another day. :goodvibes

Maybe when you are leaving for the day your or your husband could leave the room last or go back in for something and put the stuff out then and they could see them when you go back to the room. Also you could put some glitter on it and say that Tink must have left them.

I do have some white glitter I was planning on using. Thanks for the idea. I would still run into not getting back to the room until late each night and the kids being excited at bedtime... Oh! I could just tell them we can open it in the morning. I wonder if that would work?

HI HSM, sorry I have been MIA. THings have been crazy. TFW thread is really the only one I have been keeping up with.

All your plans sounds great. I love the little gift bag idea. I may have to steal some of these for August.:rolleyes1

What great ideas! Any chance the kids will be so tired that you won't have any problem getting them to sleep? Then you could just say you went for a walk to get ___________(a drink, do laundry, etc.) and it was left on your door. That way they won't feel weird about someone coming in your room. Just a thought.

It's looking good, no?
Ummm you don't think it's looking good? You American's do say some funny things :rotfl2:

When I posted my plans I just deleted any personal info that way people could see the general idea :thumbsup2

OK the surprise thingie, do your kids still believe in Santa and the tooth fairy? If so I doubt they'd even question where the bags came from also they will be asleep so fast they won't know what's going on :rotfl2:

True... We'll have to play it by ear and see if they go to sleep easily. You know, we Americans don't all sleep in the same room typically. :lmao: I'm sure that will make it harder to sleep for everyone. :sad2:

It's not stealing between DIS friends!

When I was a teacher, I would come up with cute art projects and then put them in the hall for the parents to grab when they picked up the kids. One teacher CONSTANTLY did the same project the next day with her kids. Ooooh, I used to get so mad! She would always joke about stealing my ideas and I would get so steamed. I would work so hard at my lesson plans, so it really peeved me off.
One day I tripped her in the hall and beat her down while the kids cheered me on. It was great!

KIDDING!!!! I was just seeing if you were reading still! I think I've been reading MizDiz too much lately, with all her trickery and lies. :lmao: J/K Miz Diz, if you even read my PTR.... :rolleyes1

Oh WE say funny, things?!
Yep :rotfl2:

But I don't know how...
I did my plans in excel then just deleted any personal stuff and TGM best days before I posted, I uploaded it into photobucket like a photo! Or you could open your plans with paint and use the eraser to block stuff out :thumbsup2

We don't either and the girls only ever share a bed on holiday but honestly you'll all be ready to drop at the end of each day, there again I suppose the heat also wore us out which you won't have :confused3

In the busyness of this week, I forgot to post that I got the travel documents on Wednesday. What a cute little holder it comes in. I love the travel tags. I think I'm going to use them for my stroller and to mark the kids memory books we make. :wizard:

I also got the Christmas gift card for hubby's Richard Petty Driving Experience Ride Along. I can't wrap it up untilI find a big box to throw him off. I know, I'm bad. :cool2: He's such a pain quizzing me on what I got him. :headache:
