Repeat after me: Antifreeze is not in vaccines. Plus mercury hasn't been in vaccines in years.

I thought mercury was themirasol (sp), the preservative in some vaccines? I always specifically ask for mercury free flu shots for the kids every year.

When oldest dd was younger, her Ped would not give her the chickenpox vaccine because she said there was human embryo in it and she didn't agree with it. I actually had to take dd to the health dept. to get her that shot before kindergarten started.

How so? Antifreeze is ethylene glycol. Show me a vaccine containing that.

I was referring to the routine childhood vaccines. There is thimerasol in some seasonal flu vaccines and some swine flu vaccines. Last I heard, the US was trying to avoid thimerasol in the H1N1 vaccines.

I am not arguing vaccines here. I simply put up the post so that those who got the shot can look into it. Nothing more.

As for why getting the flu would be a bad side effect- I would imagine that there are some people out there (high risk etc.) where getting the flu could be horrific. That's what I meant.
