100 Years of Magic official Info on WDW webiste...

There are some quite significant observations to be made here:

1. The celebration's official logo does not seem to fit the celebration. While Mickey Mouse is undoubtedly the best known Disney character, the lack of any reference to Walt's picture or name could lead people to mistakenly associate Mickey as being 100 years old, not Walt. An incorporation of something like a rendering of the Partners statue or a similar Walt-Mickey pose would have been more appropriate.

2. Very significant is the fact that the featured concept art of the Sorcerer Hat includes fireworks as a backdrop. The Magic Kingdom art depicts also a new firworks show (shells do not currently burst as far to the right of the castle when seen from this perspective).

3. ToD concept art I previously haven't seen, and the description almost copies elements of the current narration.

4. it confirms the locations of the interactive kiosks and the new Playhouse Disney show.

5. It shows the concept art of the celebration's feature attraction, One Man's Dream. Personally, I quite like the larger design.

6. The virtual pins are obviously hinting at the interactive pins strongly rumored to be offered for sale during the celebration.

Can anyone confirm that the celebration will be 15 months? On the website it said "year long celebration"! Will it really go to the end of December 2002?

It always does! Every celebration has lasted 14-15 months. It gets old when you visit more than once in that time frame.

I heard a rumor that they were bring back the fireworks to MGM.

Which would be awesome! Sorcery in the Sky is breathtaking, and blows away pretty FitS.

Hmm, no groundbreaking stuff here for me. At least it's something to do for me (and I have done pretty much everything at WDW!).

They seem to be taking a cue from the DCA site with the virtual pins. Before DCA opened, you had a "passport" and you got it "stamped" for each district you visited. Eventually, when you got them all, you had access to some wallpaper and stuff, but I thought it was a little neat ideal.

Now, if the GIF animation for the first pin that I collected lights up the same as the real one, I'm so getting that! I thought they would just blink.
