ORLANDO, Fla. -- Eyewitness News learned there could be thousands of dollars in stolen Disney and Universal tickets on the streets.

Police say someone swiped them from the Orlando offices of a tour company that caters to international visitors. They also say that it could be an inside job.

Someone got to the fifth floor of a big office building over the weekend and maintenance told Eyewitness News that there were no signs of a break-in on the first floor.

Travel agents say there's no bigger time of year for Brazilian tourists to visit Disney World and that's exactly the market served by Personal RGE Tours, a company that bills itself as a Disney World select tour operator.

Police say the thieves made off with $100,000 in park tickets. The incident surprised workers at a neighboring accounting office.

"That's a lot, but if you think about it, that's a small little package. Pretty easy to take off with, pretty easy to take off with, yeah," said office worker Marshall Matthews.

Police say they're working to identify potential suspects.

"Is there any thought this could be an inside job?" asked WFTV reporter Eric Rasmussen.

"Well, we look at that especially when the items that are stolen are in a specific office in a specific location," replied Sgt. Barbara Jones of the Orlando Police Department.

Police say that buyers should beware because there might be a way to invalidate the stolen tickets, so they won't be accepted at the theme parks.

There "might" be a way to invalidate the tickets? That just sounds like a way to make people think before selling or buying them. Either they are able to be invalidated, or they're not able to be, there's no middle ground in that ability.

Anyone want to buy a couple hundred disney tickets, cheap?:lmao:

Yeah, why did they even mention the might? Kind of sounds like an empty threat to me. There really is no middle ground.
