Hi! Welcome to my "quickie" PTR!

Who:

Heather (29): I am a SAHM..Mother of 2 plus Baby #3 on the way! It's a BOY! I am a total Disney-a-holic now!! :rotfl2:

James (DH31): Is a very hard working Daddy!! Great Hubby & Daddy! Always there to take care of you. He also likes Disney very much...never said he didn't want to go again!

Just a quick little note...DH has been transferred(for a promotion) about 4 hours away from home for work back in February and I have been at home w/the kiddos while our son finishes up school here. It's been hard and not much fun :sad2: but we are making it work! DH comes home most weekends or we try to go up that way if he can't make it home...luckily we have a 5th wheel camper which is his home away from home for now. So with all that we find out Valentine's week that I was pregnant! We had been trying but was surprised that it happened so soon! I'll be 17 almost 18 weeks when we go to Disney....I;ve had no morning sickness and everything has been good except feeling extremely tired..not so much now so Im hoping I can keep up! ;) So..needless to say...this trip is very much needed IMO! My Mom will be staying at our house w/the kiddos....hoping for a very smooth couple of days for her!! :rotfl:

Our Family from July 2010 Trip)

When: April 29 - May 2, 2011

Where: POP Century Resort

Why: We are celebrating our 10 year Anniversary

What: 3 day park hopper + 1 day ticket and Dining Plan

Itinerary & ADRs:

Well....our Itinerary...we have NO plans really! :scared1: Well...right now I kind of know what parks for what day but other than that.....nothing.

Really I am looking at a relaxing trip somewhat....rests/naps in the afternoon..I don't want to get too tired and not enjoy our time at WDW!
I do want to take advantage of being able to watch some of the shows that we have not seen before.

As for our ADR's...we went last trip w/the DxDP, which we really enjoyed...this time we are going w/regular DP...

Our flight is suppose to arrive at MCO @ 11am on Friday 4/29...I am sure we will be tired since we will have to leave home by 5am to get to the airport in time for our 7:45am flight!

Arrival Day 1 (Fri 4/29): HS & EPCOT (EMH)
Lunch @ Mama Melrose (F! pkg) 2:30p
F! @ 8:30p
Dinner @ CS in Epcot after F! (hoping Sunshine Season's will still be open)

Day 2 (Sat 4/30) : HS & AK
Breakfast @ Boma 10:30a (OOP)
Lunch @ CS in AK (Restaurantosaurus)
Dinner @ 'Ohana 9:05p (this will be a first here for dinner...looking forward to it)

Day 3 (Sun 5/1): Epcot & MK (EMH til 2am!!)
Breakfast @ POP Food Court (OOP)
Lunch @ CS somewhere!
Dinner @ Cape May Clambake

Day 4 - departure (Mon 5/2): which park??
Breakfast @ POP Food Court (OOP)
Lunch @ QS somewhere! (OOP)
Our Flight leaves at 6pm

Day 1 ~ Arrival Day: HS & Epcot EMH

Day 2 ~ AK & HS

Day 3 ~ Epcot & MK

OT - Girl or Boy??!!?? Found out just by 'accident' today!! :yay:

Day 4 ~ Departure Day: MK

Arrival day!! :woohoo:

We will be waking up super early and out the door by 5am this morning! I hope I last this day! :rotfl:

Our flight takes off at 7:45am!! What was I thinking??!!
We are due in to land at 11:00am....I was thinking of having enough time in the day to actually make it to the parks since this is a short trip for us!

We have always driven to WDW so this is the first time for us to fly in and use Magical Express and also depending only on Disney transportation!

The plan is to arrive at POP, check-in (I will already do online check-in) and maybe get our room first but if not then we will probably head to Hollywood Studios. We have a lunch F! package reservation at 2:30p. Depending on how tired we are and our room being ready, we may just head back to the room after lunch for a nap....then head back to HS for Fantasmic that night! This will be a first for us! I am super excited to finally get to see this show!

After F! @ HS, we'll head off to Epcot for EMH that night...they're open til Midnight! Hoping to grab a CS @ Sunshine Seasons for dinner...I am guessing they stay open later too?? We enjoy the nighttime EMH at the parks!

Up Next: Day 2 Plans: back to HS & AK

Hi and Congrats on the pregnancy! :goodvibes
Oh and congrats on the upcoming 10 year anniversary too!!! :thumbsup2

I'm also debating over a Crystal Palace ADR I just made...not sure if I'll keep it or not but I'd really like to go if we can :)

After looking at your schedule, I would think your last park day should be at MK ;)

Hi! :wave2: and :welcome:
Thank you for the congrats! Our real Anniversary is actually this wednesday!

We ate at Crystal Palace on our last trip for Breakfast twice and for lunch once....both were very good food! At lunch they had salmon w/some type of 'sauce'...it was my favorite...very yummy!! As of right now I have canceled our CP ressie and we are going to have dinner at Cape May Clambake instead....I let DH decide! ;)

Yes...I am pretty sure that MK will be our last park on departure day! Its just the most "magical" I think! ;)

Congrats on Baby #3!

I'm in the middle of planning my first adults-only trip... I love my kids, but I am so excited to visit WDW without them, LOL!

Have fun celebrating your anniversary! My family (me, DH, and our 2 DDs) has been to WDW twice, both trips coinciding with my and DH's anniversary! First one was our 10th, then last year we were there celebrating our 13th. I'm hoping I can talk DH into a WDW cruise for our 15th and another trip to WDW the next year!

Hi Heather!

Do you remember me? We were planning last year at this time for our summer trips. We were supposed to meet at WL but it didn't happen.

Congratulations on Baby #3. I am sooo happy for you.

Glad to see you are getting away to Disney for a while. I am sure you will have a great time with DH.

Can't wait to read all about your plans.

Erika

I have started a pre-trip for our summer trip with a recap of last years trip if you want to check it out.

How exciting for a cruise maybe! I just read that Disney Cruise is leaving from Galveston, TX now which is super exciting!!! It's close to home!!

How exciting to be going to Disney alone and to be expecting child #3.
I got great news when I got home from my last trip that I was expecting #4. Little did I know I had 4 kids with me and not 3. I probably wouldn't had gone so many rides if I had known.:lmao:

Your plans look fantastic. To bad you had to cancel CP, but I can understand how your DH might not want to do a character meal. I am taking my son to CP for dinner at the end of May and can't wait.

We are going exactly a month after you and are also staying at POP.! Can't wait to see your TR when you come back.popcorn::

DH was good with CP but guessing that the Crab Legs at Cape May sounded better to him!
Have you stayed at POP before?? We stayed there last trip and really enjoyed it!

The plan is to somewhat 'relax' and just take our time enjoying ourselves at Disney alone! ;)

Well....orginally this morning we had planned to just eat breakfast at the POP food court BUT....since we were going to AK and/or HS maybe it made a little more sense to change our ADR from the next morning to this morning at.........
Boma! YUM!!!

Our ressie is at 10:30a for Boma! We ate here last trip and it was really good! Love the juice there for breakfast and those Goat Cheese & Chive Eggs!! Super good!

After eating a great breakfast...we'll head to AK for a bit. There isn't much that I will be able to do at this park but I would like to see the shows there that we havent been able to see before and just enjoy the park!
If we are still at AK for lunch we'll probably eat at Restaurantasorus....we had lunch here last year and really enjoyed it. But since that trip, I have found out that they have shrimp po boys which looked really YUM!

Once we're done at AK....the plan is to make our way to HS...especially if we didnt have time to do what we wanted on arrival day.

I'm sure we'll want to maybe head back to the room for a rest....just depending on how tired I am.

All the parks close a earlier tonight with no EMH so we'll be off to The Poly for dinner at....... 'Ohanas!!! This will be a first and I;m very excited to try them! I've heard good things and yummy pics! That dessert...I will definately have to leave room for it!

After dinner.....dependning on how we feel...maybe we will head to DTD for a bit! it there!

Up Next: Day 3 ~ Which park for today??!! Epcot maybe?

No this will be our first time at POP. Our first time on site actually so any advice you want to give will not go unappriciated.:thumbsup2

LOVE Boma. I've been there twice, and will go again in September... but I've only had dinner there.

:thumbsup2Day 2 plans look great! Boma sounds good for breakfast. We have only eaten there at dinner. I may have to squeeze that in this trip.

You will  O'hana's for dinner. It has become a family favorite of ours.

Can't wait to read about Day 3.

We had stayed at Ft Wilderness in the Cabins prior to POP only because we had an extra adult but just for the 4 of us, POP was perfect! We  it there! Food court had very good selections for breakfast and snacks...we had lunch in the food court once and was good too! It's neat that there is a gift shop there too!
I wanted a refurbished room at the time so we requested one in the 90's building...we ended up w/a corner room on the first floor which faced the parking lot! It was prefect! Not too far from Classic Hall (food court) to walk to and a pool was right around the corner as well as the laundry facility and parking was right out the door basically!
Be sure if you like Cheesecake to try the Tie Dye Cheesecake...it was so YUM! :thumbsup2

LOVE Boma. I've been there twice, and will go again in September... but I've only had dinner there.

I was worried that DH would be too picky to have dinner there....although they have 'ethnic' breakfast options, he was still able to find plenty of 'normal' options to fill him up!

Hey Erika! Ya'll should try Boma for breakfast, it was very good! :) Glad to hear about Ohanas!! My TA said to be sure to go w/an empty belly! :rotfl:

So.....I have decided to request a room in the 70s Building on the first floor!

Hopefully it'll be a great location like our previous in the 90s.

:banana::banana:15 DAYS AND COUNTING!!:banana::banana:

I was debating weather or not to join one of the Free POP Fridge Swaps......we did this last year...beats paying $12/day to rent from the resort!!
I went ahead and I am trying to join one just in case....I was just not sure if we would use it as much since we werent having the kids and we were staying for a short period of time.

Hi Heather!

Congrats on your 10 year anniversary and your upcoming trip! And the biggest congrats for baby #3!!! Nice to see you on the DIS again - I kind of fizzled out for a while but trying to make it back on more!

Hope you guys have a wonderful time and get to spend lots of quality time together! My DH recently also started a new job 2 hours away and he comes home on weekend also, so I know how hard it can be! Hang in there! Me and the kids, like you, are staying put until the school year is over then we'll be moving down. We're only on our 4th week apart but its starting to get old already, but we're counting down the weeks!

Hope you have a great trip!
Karen

Hey Karen! So glad you found me again!! :goodvibes Thank you so very much! I am super excited for our trip and just to spend time alone!!
You hang in there too!! It is really hard but will be worth it in the end! Our school ends June 3rd here but we have yet to find a house....we keep going back and forth on renting vs. buying for the first year! Not many rentals up there and if there are they are $$$. :headache: After our trip I plan on going up more often to search for a home!
Good Luck to you and your family too on the move!

Hopefully we will be well rested this morning as all the parks closed early the night before!
Breakfast will more than likely be in the POP Food Court...I want those yummy chocolate croissants like i had last year.....so YUM! :lovestruc

After breakfast, the plan is to make our way back to Epcot! We have yet to make our way around the countries in WS and just spend time back there during daylight! That was one of my goal's last trip but didnt happen...we ended up in WS at night. So.....We WILL be making our way around WS and enjoy the countries...I hope!!! ;) It is also Flower & Garden Festival....super excited to look around at the character topiaries too! We've never been at this time either!

Lunch will be somewhere CS in a park or back at POP...not sure right now....we'll leave that as a surprise! I would really like to try Via Napoli for some pizza if we are still at Epcot, which I'm sure we will be!

Depending upon the time and how I'm feeling..maybe we'll hop to another park for a bit or go back to rest up at the room.

We have a Dinner ressie at Cape May Cafe @ 8:00p for some Crab Legs for DH! This was his pick...I was 'nice' and let him decide between CMC, Crystal Palace or WCC. We enjoyed this dinner last year too!

After dinner, we'll head to MK for some EMH....they're open til 2 am!!! :yay:
Let's hope I last! :rotfl:

Up Next: Last day at WDW/Departure day

Heather, your trip is getting so close!!! I am sure you are getting sooo excited.

I can't wait to see all your pictures from Flower and Garden. I have always wanted to be in Disney for this. Maybe next year.....:confused3

I can't wait to hear about Cape May. It is one of our ressies this year and looks soo good.
