I've just seen on the Virgin website that there id 10% off 2010 bookings and also free Vroom entrance as well:)

Offer ends 22 April.

only a few hotels out & they're adding over £600 in fuel surcharges (for 3 people) on top of the £106 that is added in the brochure price!!!
Thats over £900 fuel surcharge for 3 people - can they really get a way with that????:sad2:

I was so excited but am now thinking it is way too expensive!!! :(

Thats all I have just paid for indirect flights for May half term £322pp, they can't charge that just for fuel surcharge surely, something must be wrong there. Last Oct half term £240pp I really can't understand why so many book with Virgin Hols.
Lots must pay their prices though.

I've always booked VH's & from the preview brochure - stuck with school hols (August) & have a 14 yr old - usually doesnt work out any cheaper whenever i tried to price DIY - (would only do direct)
But even i am not prepared to pay those prices - & thats with 15% off!!!! so maybe this year i'll be planning my 1st ever 2010 DIY???

I pay when they are cheapest- July 2009- 2adults and 2 teens 16 &13 for £2600 )+10% virgin frequent flyer all inclusive in Barbados 2 weeks. Booked in last years preview brochure. And fly dr xmas 2009 2 weeks £2600 again -+10% disccount and that includes car/insurance 2 weeks and orlano flex tickets and limo character meal for 4. The thing with virgin is to play around with all the options, dates, fly drive, hotels, 2 center and multi center, In 2007 we got Xmas multi center 4 nights marriot clearwater suites, 7 nights POR and 3 nights por for £2200 car insurance includded (did 4/7/3 as it worked out -£350 over 4/11) you just have to play around. I would nevr pay more than £500pp Fl drive includding insurance and car for 2weeks at peak times, I also pay no more than £375 for a flight that has a stop in it. Another trick can be to start your jorney in france or Holland. We fly to grand cayman and at Xmas when we are not going to florida it is about £1100 min form london but only £650 form paris (gdg-lh-gcm). so its even the same plame for the LH to gcm part.

Ah... that explains why the price for a flydrive next July was so expensive - they quoted me £3800 for 2 adults and 2 teens for flights and car (not even including car insurance) flying from Glasgow - I knew Glasgow added £600 but couldn't understand why the flights were still more than £1200 more than I paid this year.

When VH told me the price over the phone I had to keep checking I heard right - I couldn't believe they said £3800 - mind you, £2800 would still have been too expensive!!

Am I right in thinking the preview prices are guaranteed to be the same or lower than the official brochure? If so it wont be Virgin holidays for me next year.
