10 of the coolest looking exotic pets

We have a turtle- a red eared slider. He's fun to watch, although not terribly exotice. You can't get them in Maine anymore though.

None of those would make it out alive in my house. :scared1: Insects creep me out and well, I'm just not a fan of frogs.

Do husbands count as exotic pets????

I've always wanted a pet Gecko (named Geico :lmao:), they look awesome! Sadly I dont have any exotic pets, unless a guinea pig is considered one.

Personally, I wouldn't consider any of those pets- more like creepy crawlies that belong outside. Somehow, I can't see any one of those creatures being capable of cuddling. :scared1: Yes, that is my criteria for a pet. DH keeps fish, and I don't consider those pets, either. Living creatures that deserve care, yes, but "pets", no.

I'm not going to click the link. But how the heck can you keep a praying mantis as a pet?

Ya, sorry you lost me once the page got to SPIDERS! EWWWWWWWWWWW yuk yuk yuk....just can't do spiders. The frog was cute, the salamander was OK but I'll pass. :) When DD22 lived at home she had a bearded dragon and a ball python, both were great pets for her but no one else could touch the dragon. The snake was ok with other people but not the dragon. I've also had pet rats and we currently have a fish tank filled with lots of great "pets" (corals, crab, snails, fish, etc etc) but that's about as exotic as I want to get. :)
