Have you ever thought of buying DVC? (I'm not sure it's a super great deal but just curious)

So how did you dress Owen when he was born? Did he wear summer things or long sleeves ect? Madeline was born in the spring (Monday is her b-day actually) so I have no idea what to put on a summer baby.

Congrats on the weight loss! I think the pounds you're shedding are coming straight to me. lol

I just ordered a DVC DVD- I don't really understand it much... so maybe that will help. I know that I like to find the best deal when I vacation and also love to try out new hotels... so I am not sure if it is for me or not! But I have been wondering lately about it.:confused:

So funny about my pounds going to you. I think I gained about 28 pounds with Owen. It gets so hot in July and I wasnt interested in eating much. When I look back at his baby pics he was in a onesie almost every day! I always just kept a little baby blanket with me incase it got cold... It was great not having to worry about keeping him warm.... Myles is a February Baby and it was very different.

Thanks for reading and the compliments! 18 pounds has come off fast! I can't believe how fast. If only I had done this years ago! Well I guess I am doing it now though and need to be happy with that!

I really need to start exercising more. Stephanie (Charlefours) and I are going to start stroller walking together at our local park, so that should help and I want to join the local community center to start working out, but Eva has to be 6 months to go to the daycare.

Anyway, you are an inspiration!!

my mom's friend recently lost a lot of weight so every two weeks she would go to walmart or target (or if someone like JCP was having a big sale) she bought two of the cheapest jeans/capris or something of that sort...and just mixed and matched them...she dropped it fast and had to buy new clothes that quick. She is finally down to her goal and just went out and bought herself a complete spring/summer wardrobe!;)

Connie! Thanks!! You know nothing gives you motivation more than success! I just needed to hear those words from the Dr... "you will die if you dont do something!" Now that the clothes are feeling better and everything isnt SOOOO TIGHT and actually falling off instead, I am even more motivated. My first goal is to be under a certain weight (that shall remain nameless) by mothers day...but it is about 14 pounds away!! Today Waynes brother came over and told me I was looking very skinny. :rotfl2: Me and Skinny are two words that just don't mix! :rotfl2: At this point I am just enjoying feeling healthy! Here is a sample of my day... When I make the kids their cereal, I make some for me (Cheerios and I cut up strawberries and have it with skim milk) then after I bring Myles to school, Owen and I take a walk and then come in and have a snack.. usually apples and Peanut butter, then for lunch I have a Josephs Flax Wrap with lettuce, cucumber, onion, peppers, some grilled chicken (i use the shortcuts) and I have some carrots and hummus with it... then afternoon snack with this kids afterschool.. usually a veggie with hummus or apples and peanut butter, and then I make dinner for the kids and wayne, but I always make a salad for me.... I put tuna or chicken or whatever on top and load it up with veggies and have a wrap with it. Soooooooooooooooooooo that is it... and it is working!! :banana: Oh and I should say- being Italian... my dad used to make his own wine... we actually used to have to crush the grapes with our feet.... but we drink lots of wine and it is still coming off.... so that is good!!

Good luck to you! Get Danny off that couch and go for a walk tonight! You can hold hands and talk about Disney!! :rotfl2:

We are looking at DVC, but are trying to figure out if it is worth it? I have a friend who says it totally is, but when I look at the initial buy in $$ and monthly maint. fees, plus still having to buy park tickets and dining-I just don't know if it is economical for us?? It's great to dream-though!

Are you finding any ways to keep your salads interesting? I find that I get bored and try to mix it up, but can only come up with so many twists on salad:laughing: I have added craisins and toasted almonds. Pears, oranges, Low fat cheese...any other ideas???

We watched the DVC video and I dont think it is worth it for us right now. I love the flexibility of having a really nice trip when money is good and then if money isnt as good (like now - being a SAHM) going moderate... it is a nice dream and someday I hope that we can do it. Maybe when I am done paying PMI on my house!!!!!!

For salads I have been pretty boring but I was reading tonight how walnuts and almonds are nuts that can lower cholestrol... so I am going to start adding them to my salads, non fat yogurt and oatmeal! They say no more than a handful a day though... so I will have to watch how much I use through the day!! Stonyfield fat free french vanilla yogurt is really good. Have you tried it? I like adding strawberries or apples to my salads too... they give me another serving of fruit that I need and give me a new taste in the salad..... try it!! Have you been trying and had any success? My poor mom has been doing this with me and hasnt lost anything! She is on so much medication that I think it is making her not be able to loose. She also says she doesnt cheat but sometimes when i talk to her and ask what she is eating she will say "I am making a shephard pie tonight" I dont say anything but I know I cant eat that if I want to loose weight!!

You should see this weather! OMG - it is AWFUL! Cold and rainy and windy.... the rain is just awful. People are all flooded... I just went to Target and the main road to get on the highway was blocked off- it looked like a lake with waves and all! Thanks for thinking of us!

This is one of those times that I am grateful that we live at the top of one of the biggest hills in MA! Now if this was a snowstorm we would be stuck in the house!
 
Hey All!!!
So not a very good week. I HAD lost a good amount this week and then Wednesday night I went out with the girls. We had dinner in the South End at Giacamos. OMG.... There was nothing really healthy that I could eat so I decided to get an all time favorite of mine and just splurge! I ordered Butternut Squash Ravioli and OMG it was so good. I even had a piece of bread that I scraped off every bit of the mascarpone cheese with. So I finish the week with a 1 pound loss rather than the 4 pounds the scale said the other day!!! I was going to wait until tomorrow to try to have a bigger loss this week but whatever... it is what it is! :sad2: Now looking back they were not THAT GOOD! :rotfl:

Trip News!
So now two brothers have booked their trips... just one left to go. The brother that hasn't booked yet is planning on going Thursday and leaving Monday (a day earlier than everyone else because his daughter wants to go to Harry Potter thing at Universal) But his other daughter who is 21 has come to me and Wayne and said she wants to stay the whole week with us.

This brings up a few issues... I can't add her on after because of the tickets and dining plan so I am not sure how that would work....

She also can't stay in our room at french quarter because there is only room for 4 and I called and they said we couldnt even put and air mattress or anything... just 4 to the room SO if she does stay then we would have to change resorts to Port Orleans Riverside because they have the trundle bed and 5 to the room.

She is also afraid of hurting her dad's feelings ... so there is that to consider too.....

What do you think we should do!?
 
Ummmmmmm, Ok. Why am I just now seeing this PTR?? I know you sent me the link and I've been checking my email for updates but I guess I never subbed!:scared1: I feel so stoooooooooooopid!!!! Well, I'm here now and loving all the plans. OMG, congrats on the weight loss! You have inspired me to get back on the wagon. Time to snap out of vacation mode and start shedding some more pounds. So proud of you!!!! And can't wait to read more. Geeeez, you probably thought I was ignoring you:rotfl:

congrats on the weight loss! it will show up soon so don't worry about it...I'm sure you needed the time out with the girls so don't beat yourself up...

as for your niece I don't see why it would hurt her dad's feelings that she wants to stay longer; but, you do have a small problem w/a room situation...at the moment other than and extra room or moving to the POR I don't see any other solution. Maybe check into doing a spilt trip and move to the cabins at theFt. Wilderness. The boys would love the campfires and things they do.

Giacamos is a fav in Boston and you should not be beating yourself up over going out and splurging. If you splurge every once in a while your body will not crave things. Besides a pound lost is a pound lost! You are doing great!:woohoo: I agree with PP I can only figure out doing a split stay. I think I remember you saying you enjoy seeing different hotels, use this as an excuse to see FW.
Kepp up the good work with the weight loss and maybe your brother would even offer to help pay for the split stay?!?!:confused3

Nickie-if it's just one day I would sneak her into your room anyway. OR see if your uncle can just stay at the Disney hotel another night even though he's going to Universal.
