Hadn't heard anything from this thread in a while-no updates and no countdown! Then saw you posted that you did in fact accept that job at the GBFB and you start this week! Congrats! How was your first day?

Also, congrats on completing the C25k, that is huge. I know I could never run more than a block, well, unless I was being chased. You must be so proud of yourself for that accomplishment.

Also #2, did you give the boys their Mickey invitations yet? This is such a cute idea I may have to snag it.

I woke up this morning with total Disney fever and poked around on the DIS and landed on your report.

I just wanted to say that I've really enjoyed it. I also wanted to give you some encouragement in your get-healthy journey.

I have lost about 35 pounds (using Spark People.com, it's free and I really love it) and still have a ways to go - I would like to lose about 15 more to be honest. But I think that it's so important to celebrate each step, each pound and each mile.

Even if you don't do the Disney 5K - you should sign up for one in your area. Races are amazing! i did my second Half Marathon this fall and have done a number of 5Ks and i can tell you that they are an amazing experience. Runners are a diverse group, all ages, all sizes, all sorts of different ideas of "fashion" but they all have something in common - they feel powerful when the move no matter what the pace.

Just keep moving and feel empowered!

Just wanted to say thanks for all of you that were thinking of me and for the nice things you have said. I am doing better..... Sometimes life just hands you a bad deck of cards. I am glad to say though that things are looking MUCH brighter for me these days and I am going to continue to live by my "everything happens for a reason" philosophy.

Hello to the few people still hanging out on my MUCH NEGLECTED Pre Trip! I was going to respond to everyone in seperate posts but then I thought I would just write to you all in one... hope that is ok!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving. My Birthday was the day after and we went to North Conway for the weekend and had a great time. We went on this Mountain Coaster I was scared at first but I am glad Wayne really encouraged me to give it a try. I LOVED it!!! We also went on a sleigh ride to the "north pole" and saw Santa.... it was really fun!!

This trip is coming up SO FAST! WOW- I think in years past I would have already been packed! I think we are around 7 weeks and it is going to be here before we know it!!! I need to print up invites still and place my garden grocer order.... I need to start to figure out what will be packed....

So exciting...

Ok, So I THINK I might update later today or tomorrow with the countdown. FINALLY!!!

Thanks for your well wishes and happy birthdays and for sticking with me on this pre trip report!!... (oh and Jill, I think we emailed on my bday!)

Hey all!
I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Christmas! It is snowing here (a day late for a white christmas!) We had a great holiday- filled with lots of laughs and good memories. This year was the MOST excited I have seen the kids. Myles was so sad last night that it was over, we finally got him to stop crying by reminding him that we leave for Disney in 4 weeks! WOW I cant believe it. We are watching the Christmas Day Parade this morning and the kids are playing with all their new toys and because of the big snow storm it looks like we will be snowed in here. I love not doing anything!!

I just wanted to thank Leanne and her family for sending us a little Christmas cheer! I am so amazed at friendships that have been built from the DIS. I love getting emails from Jill and both Jill and Wendy have been very supportive friends to me while I have been dealing with some bad things here on the home front. I LOVED getting so many Christmas cards from my DIS friends. When we got Connies card, Myles was like, "This one is from Ashton!" They mean the world to me. So I just wanted to say how much I appreciate you all and your friendships.

ok, so with 4 weeks and 2 days left, we are all paid off, and the invitations are all printed up, the folders we made for everyone are packed with goodies and lots of fun stuff. We scheduled our photo session at the GF and then will have dinner at 1900 Park Fare! After the year we have had, I am especially thankful to have my family all together and to have our family picture taken from Disney!!

I know I slacked so bad on our countdown.... I cant even remember where I left off, but I figure I am going to summarize the whole list for you all here.

Wow, I cannot believe its only 4 WEEKS AWAY!!! Insane. I can't wait to be back at The World with you and the kids, hun. It's gonna be B-A-N-A-N-A-S.
