Was at WDW from September 25 - October 4, 2009 and had the basic dining plan. Glad I did not upgrade to the deluxe. I barely got through the basic plan. I think if it was not so hot & humid it would have been different, but with it being so warm 1/2 the time, lost my appetite on some days. Anyway, here we go.

Day 1:
Arrived at WDW and after checking in to the resort & storing my bags, headed for EPCOT and a 4pm ADR at Le Cellier. The restaurant was pretty empty, even at 5:30pm when I left. Started off with the breadsticks:

and the Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie.

Both were very good. For dinner, I got the New York Steak (cooked medium) and asked for the roasted potatoes, instead of the potatoes gratin. The only give you a couple, which surprised me.

The steak was cooked to perfection, although the potatoes were a little mushy and not hot, but rather luke warm.

For dessert, ordered the Chocolate Whiskey Cake, which was very good.

Here is another shot of the cake. This trip was a belated birthday trip.

All & all this was a great meal. Service was a little slow, but nothing tragic.

Grade: A

Headed over to the Studios for their AM EMH. Had to go to the 50's Primetime Cafe as it's a must for me on every trip.

Starting off with an ice cold, THICK chocolate shake:

Then had Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken w/green beans:

The chicken was hot & juicy, as was the veggies.

Finished off with Dad's Brownie Sundae:

The food was great, as was the service!!

Grade: A++

The day was still dreadfully hot (mid-90's w/90% humidity), so by the time I got to the Magic Kingdom, I was still not hungry. I did have a Citrus Swirl at the Sunshine Terrace. It was really good.

Had an early am adr @ Tusker House & was seated pretty quickly. The characters came around soon after being seated and came in one after the other. There was plenty of food to choose from and everything (except the bacon) was delish! I would say the only negatives I found at all of the buffets (and most of the parks) was there was no skim milk. Just 1 or 2% or whole milk. The other negative was getting your picture taken, then having it "sold" to you for $30. At least with Norway, the photo with Belle is included. Saw most people turning down this option. For what you are paying for the meal, it should be included. Service was good, although my server made a mistake on my check, but fixed it quickly.

Grade: B
