10 days of fun in the sun!

First - your costumes turned out Ahhhh-mazing!!!! I love them!!! Fantastic, fantastic job Tess!!!

I love MNSSHP - it is just one of the best events there, I wish we could go again sometime soon.

Love the fireworks, love the parade - it's just all fun!

D~

LOVE your costumes!!! even your bag matched!! the costumes came out AWESOME!!!
First time riding Peter pan (that just sounds bad..) How did you like it?
It is one of my favorites!!!
I can't wait to go to the party.. we have never been (YET!!!!)
GAH i am SOOOOO excited to do the party!!! the hitch hiking ghosts are AWESOME!

Woo hoo for getting the awesome table! :cool1: The early bird gets the worm – or I guess in this case, gets the shaded table! :lmao:

I adore the pirate outfits. You guys looked so cute!

Sounds like you were in a great position to watch the fireworks.

Superb pictures of you guys and the hitchhiking ghosts!

You are so lucky to have gotten to ride the Haunted Mansion several times. I am so jealous! That is my favorite ride! :thumbsup2

I think the HM is my favorite ride too. Its the one I remembered from my (ahem) youth when I went with my brother. Here is a picture of him taken about 1977:

This was our first time attending the MNSSHP, but it won't be our last!

The lines for Peter Pan are always so long and I'm not much for waiting in a long line. The ride was fun and I can see why there is always a line for it, but I would not be one to wait....

We had so much fun at the party. The crowds were definitely low that night and we were able to do pretty much anything we wanted without waiting in a long line.

The whole atmosphere was fun. The HM was very spooky with mist and changing colors.

Last day in the Wonderful World of Disney! Always a sad day, but this trip I did not feel exhausted the entire time since we managed to get a couple of "do nothing" days into the schedule.

We woke fairly early, headed out to get coffee/tea and breakfast and relax one last time in the courtyard by the pool. I love spending time outside relaxing. There really isn't any place in the room to relax, besides the bed, so outside it is.

Came back to finish packing. What a disaster! I really did not buy all that much, but I did buy breakables which had to go on the plane in our carry ons. Problem was that I did not plan to bring so much back on the plane. We finally got everything packed and ready to go to the Custom House to check in for the plane and drop off our luggage at 11 am. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to check out of the room! No problems with dropping off the luggage and we left our carryons with the will call? desk.

Then we headed over to catch the bus to our must do last day park - MK.

We had a reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch at 12:30.

Oh yeah, nothing like waiting until the last day to try to book a bounceback offer... the system was down and I'd have to call back later....

We got to the park and rode the train around to Frontierland, walked through Frontierland to Adventureland and rode POTC and then it was time for lunch.

I debated between LTT and the Plaza, but the D~ raved so much about the Freedom Pasta that I just had to try it. Charlie had the pot roast.

The pasta was yummy - I would definitely get it again. C liked his pot roast too.

While we were at lunch I tried to call for the bounceback offer. The cm I talked to earlier gave me a number to call, so I thought I'd try it one more time. The cm I talked to this time transferred me to the travel agent site, where I was on hold for a loooooong time before I finally hung up. My phone battery was low and I knew I wasn't going to be able to call and be put on hold again. Thought I'd just wait until we got back to the resort and check then.

Charlie had the chocolate cake for dessert and I had the Johnny Appleseed Cake - I think we both took one or two bites - I ate the ice cream that came with mine - there's ALWAYS room for ice cream. We had plenty to eat this week!

We went over to the Carousel of Progress one more time - I love that show! and rode the HM, and POTC one last time before it was time to head back to the resort and catch the ME to the airport.

This is always a sad sight to see:

We got back to the Custom House and I went in to check to see if I could book the bounceback and of course, they could not do anything there. The cm told me to call the WDW Disney number once I got home and see if they could help me. Ok, then, maybe we would not be able to get the bounceback offer.....

Got on the ME and we were the first stop at the airport. No trouble going through security and we did not have long to wait for boarding. Except for the obnoxious woman carrying on a long phone conversation loud enough for EVERYONE in the terminal to hear..... Lucky us, she was sitting across from us and was on the same plane.

Arrived home about 10 pm and took the shuttle bus to the long term parking lot. On the bus I struck up a conversation with a young lady (about 5 years old) who was telling all about her favorite princess - Ariel. LOL

The rest of the trip home was uneventful and I was happy to sleep in my own bed :)

We went early on Sunday morning to pick up my babies (the doggies!) We were so anxious to get them, that we got there before they were open  but lucky for us, we did not have go home and come back later. The dogs are always well cared for at doggie camp, and apparently had a good time. I didn't hear any complaints from either one!

So on Sunday morning I called the WDW Disney number just to see if anyone would be able to help me with the bounceback offer. The first cm I talked to transferred me to the travel agent site again. I hung up and called back and once again explained that I tried to book it while on site and the system was down. This cm was very helpful and transferred me to the right department - the bounceback department! and I was able to take advantage of the free dining promotion for our next trip! More on that in my next PTR, which should be up in a week or so.

I know, I'm getting to be just like D~ - though I will admit that her trip reports are much more exciting than mine. :faint:

So, stay tuned for more exciting news.....

Here are some pictures I forgot to post from the Dessert Party - another must do again on our list for next trip:

YUMMMMMMMMM! Those desserts look fabulous!

I am so glad you were still able to take advantage of the bounceback. That would have been really terrible if you weren't.

I am using the same HM embroidery designs! They are great - aren't they?

Looking forward to the new PTR!

Glad you enjoyed the freedom pasta... I would have felt badly if you didn't like it, so I am very happy you did. :)

What a pain to book a bounceback - what a relief that they finally let you, and what a pain that they kept transferring you to the TA que. I am very excited to hear your dates.

Mmmmm... All those desserts look delicious - I am still sad that I didn't get to enjoy the dessert party because I wasn't feeling well that night. That is something we will do again too. :)

Great update Tess and great TR - It was a lot of fun to read along and share your trip with you. I can't wait until you start your PTR too!

D~

Okay, Tess, I'm caught up (I did skip the chatter).

First, I'm sorry for the loss of your puppy last year (we lost our's a month ago today...I wrote about it in my TR, I'm not sure I mentioned it in my PTR).

Good idea staying at the airport since you had an early flight (I might suggest that to Mark for our trip next month).

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for your room being ready and being close to the main building.

It seems Pirates is always down every single day. :confused3

Love the shirts that you made...very cute (I wish I had some talent like that).

We love Sci Fi, hate being hitchhikers though.

Okay, I should stay caught up now.

And can't wait to see how you reached decision on DVC. :goodvibes
