10 days of fun in the sun!

Oh wow Tess... In all the months and months I've been praying for Kat, this is the first picture I have ever seen of her (I keep trying to look on your FB page - but I can't see any pictures there???). She is a beautiful and inspiring young woman, who has been through so much. She has my continued prayers and even more so today. (((Hugs to all))) Please keep me updated.

Oh my...putting a face to the name and what she has gone threw. She is such a beautiful girl. I will always keep her in my prayers and thoughts always..

Thank you all for your concern, thoughts and prayers. D~ I changed my friends setting so you should be able to see pictures on my FB account.

Kat is so strong and so much looking forward to not being sick anymore. She has said that she was happy this day is final here so that she can get back to a normal, better life.

Thank you Tess... Just checking in - I know you are busy - but how is Kat doing?

D~

Kat's surgery went well. It was long, but she was in reovery by 4 pm. She had a good night and seems to be back to her sassy self. Will keep you updated when I know more.
Thanks everyone. I appreciate your concern.

I'm sorry I didn't update last night - not feeling so well myself and went to bed early - well, early for me. I hope to do another day's tr this weekend, but I need to get in the sewing room on Saturday and Sunday starts our annual 3 day conference for the state planning association. Its in Harrisburg, which is about an hour away and I will be home each evening, but I have a PC meeting on Monday night, so I doubt I'll be home early either night.

I am so glad to hear the surgery went well!!!! Please keep us all updated!!! ::yes::

Kat is still doing well. Her stepmom posted this morning that she went from drooling in her bed to wanting a shower, food and to go outside! Her dad said she went from 0 to diva in 60 seconds. That's my Kat!

That is WONDERFUL news!!! Thanks so much for keeping us updated!!! Sending more Pixie Dust her way!

D~

That's great news!!! Please know even on the weekends and i am MIA on the dis, know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers!!!

Kat was released from the hospital today and I'm assuming she is back in the Wounded Warrior housing on base. Her dad just let us know that he was told she was discharged, but did not give us any other information.

She has the most awesome attitude. She is not letting anything bother her with regard to this surgery. She and her dad are both crazy (in a good way) and have posted a number of jokes and stories. They have a wonderful relationship.

Thank you all, once again, for your thoughts and prayers.

Ok, so I'm back from the conference, it was nice meeting old friends and meeting new ones. I even learned a few things....

Back to work tomorrow, so I guess I should head to bed soon.

Thank you for the update on Kat! I am so relieved to hear that she is doing so well.

Glad the conference is over and things can go back to normal. Have a great day back at work. :)

Welcome! We are probably neighbors!

Hope you had a good day at work - I guess it's back to the grindstone!

I got to fill my boss in on the sessions I attended and then I got to tackle the stack of papers that he left on my chair. Geez - gone for 2 days and someone had to cut down a tree and leave it on my chair!

Glad you got your machine back in time! I broke something in the needle holder on my Viking and now the needle won't stay in it. I need to remember to take it to the shop tomorrow. I've been using my Featherweight and its so much fun to sew with, but it only does straight stitching.

I guess its time for me to get back to posting on this tr... been slacking much too long.

Day 9 was our last full day at WDW :( . Our game plan today, since we did not have any ADRs scheduled was to relax and spend the day by the pool - which is exactly what we did. I got up, showered and then put on my bathing suit (no I don't have any pictures - it would more than likely break the camera! LOL) and headed out for breakfast and the pool. There is a table sort of in a corner that was shaded for most of the day and I wanted it!

Grabbed my pastry and tea and managed to get the coveted table. I sat, ate, drank my tea and worked my Kindle to check facebook and play games.

Charlie came out to join me and we took turns going into the pool. What a wonderful day!

About 3 pm it was time to head back to our room and get ready for the party! Yep, we had tickets for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! The best thing though, was that this was Friday the 13th and there was a free Villain's Bash at HS and a lot of people were headed there instead of to the MK! At least I hoped so. This was our first time going to the party, so I wasn't sure what to expect.

Charlie and I dressed as pirates -

We headed to Casey's for hotdogs for dinner. Last time we were in the parks, Casey's was closed for refurbishment, so we didn't have a chance to eat there. The hotdogs were good, but I'm one of those that like my hot dogs "well done", i.e., burnt. LOL

Then we went over and rode POTC again and then went to Tomorrowland and went to the Monster's Inc Laugh Floor - I love this show!

There was no line for the Tomorrowland Speedway, so we rode that one too. The last time we attempted to ride this, we got to the front of the line and they closed the ride because "there was lightning in the area". You would think they would give the people at the front of the line fps or something, but no...

After that we walked up to Philharmagic and then, since there was no line, we rode Peter Pan for the very first time ever! We didn't wait in line for candy since, C is diabetic and I didn't want to waste time waiting in line - and I don't need the candy myself.

We walked around a bit and then realized they were blocking off areas for the Hallowishes. We waited around the hub behind the castle and the fireworks were overhead - they were awesome!

We went over to the Haunted Mansion - this ride is so much fun in the dark! The cms were all made up to look like ghouls!

And these guys were just waiting for someone to pick them up!

and apparently so were we!

The lighting on the HM was spooky!

We rode this ride several times since the line was never very long.

We wandered all over the MK, riding our favorite rides all evening, until it was time for the 2nd Boo to You parade. We found ourselves in Frontierland and found front row seats in front of the arcade. Was not very long before the headless horseman came riding down the street.

I don't have any pictures of the parade - was too busy enjoying it to worry about taking pictures.

After the parade we made our way out to the front of the park. I had to pick up some gifts we left to be engraved and then made our way out to the bus.

Only one day left....where, oh where will we end up?????

Woo hoo for getting the awesome table! :cool1: The early bird gets the worm – or I guess in this case, gets the shaded table! :lmao:

I adore the pirate outfits. You guys looked so cute!

Sounds like you were in a great position to watch the fireworks.

Superb pictures of you guys and the hitchhiking ghosts!

You are so lucky to have gotten to ride the Haunted Mansion several times. I am so jealous! That is my favorite ride! :thumbsup2
