Hi, and welcome to this little trip report. This is me. My name is Terry, or you can call me Tess, or T, or hey you....

I am married to Charlie - you'll meet him next... I'm a senior land use planner with the County Planning Commission. Been doing this job for nearly 20 years. Before that I was a stay at home mom to 4 kids, who are all grown up now.

This is Charlie - he is just like a little kid when it comes to our Disney trips. He doesn't mind when I dress him up in character t-shirts or other costumes.

We also have 2 doggies - Lady is our cocker spaniel (the black one). She is almost 12 years old, and misses her brother Duke, who we lost last year.

And Ringo, the min pin, who technically belongs to my youngest dd. She can't have a dog in her apartment, so "grandma" gets to keep him - and he is a sweetie!

We did have 10 wonderful days in the sun!

here is a link to Day 1

Wednesday, Sept 4.

Man was today hectic. I needed to finish up my projects because they needed to be mailed out while I was gone. We have a monthly planning commission meeting - I'm on the staff. The PC reviews proposed ordinance amendments. The staff has to prepare the review and make a recommendation to the pc. I had 5 of these amendments for the September meeting. Usually I have 1 or 2....
and I normally would have another week to finish them up. So, I spent the last week trying to finish up the reports. I finished at 4:30 on Wednesday....

YAY! Charlie and I decided we'd stay at a hotel near the airport on Wednesday night. We live about 45 - 60 minutes from the airport, but since our flight was early in the morning, we did not want to get caught in rush hour traffic - and construction on the beltway. We decided to have dinner first and wait for the evening rush hour to be over before we headed down the road. Called the local sub shop to order subs and got no answer... tried again and still no answer. That meant we had to go over to the next town to get subs...I had a meatball parm and C had a tuna boat.

We were all packed - uh oh, I realized I only had 2 ME tags but 3 suitcases. Yeah, I know 3 suitcases for 2 people? Well, one had our pirate costume stuff. So I told C that we would have to carry that one on the plane. OK, no big deal.

After dinner, we loaded up the car. C had taken the dogs to the "Country Comfort Kennels and Camp for Pets" - I kid you not. We've taken the dogs there for a number of years, but this was Ringo's first time in a kennel and I was a bit worried about him.

Then we headed down the road to the hotel. C earns Comfort Inn points since he often has to travel for work, so we used points to stay at a Sleep Inn. The place was nice and clean, but they did not have the baseball game on tv! What hotel does not carry the local sports station????? Seriously.

Left a wakeup call for 5 am, however Charlie was awake at 4:30 am. Which meant I was awake at 4:30 in the AM!!!! He was so excited about our trip! I had laid out our Lady and the Tramp shirts the night before, so once he was showered and shaved, he was antsy to leave. Good grief man, give me a chance to get dressed! It was a chilly morning in Baltimore. Glad I brought the hoodies!

We parked the car in the long-term parking and took the shuttle over to the airport, check 2 of our bags and went through security with no problems and no long wait. Why is it that every time I fly out of BWI, the gate my plane is at is the very last one on the concourse???? EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

I love flying Southwest and use them whenever I can. We had A boarding passes and were able to sit near the front of the plane with a window seat!!! My favorite seat. The flight was uneventful and we were soon landing in Orlando.

Headed to the ME and they were boarding our bus, which was headed to the Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk and Caribbean Beach resorts. I thought we'd be the last stop, but yahoo! Caribbean Beach was the first stop!

Checked in -our room was ready - at 11:00 am! We were in Martinique, first floor corner room. Close to Old Port Royale - the food court and main pool. The room was nice.

We dropped off our carry-on luggage and headed out to our first park....

Hi Tess! I'm anxious to hear all about your fabulous trip. I love the look of your room. We've never stayed there, but depending on what your experience turned out to be, we may consider it. We do love FQ!

I never realized about your ptr, so I just read it. I LOVED Kate singing the national anthem! What a talent.

Okay, I'll be stopping in to learn all about your trip and live vicariously. Hope it was the best trip ever! And I absolutely love how eager Charlie was the morning of your flight! Makes me smile.

ETA: I forgot to mention what a great outfit you have on in the above picture! Gotta love that Epcot Minnie! And the bag is awesome too. But...where are the Lady and the Tramp shirts you mentioned?

Welcome Lois! We loved POFQ, but Charlie wanted to try something different this time. We both said that we liked CBR as much as, if not more than FQ. The only thing I didn't care for were the double beds. I've heard that Disney is going to refurbish the rooms and put in queen beds. One of the reasons I liked this resort is the lake. Also, we were in a preferred room in Martinique which is very close to the food court.

The reason we liked FQ is because of its size and the convenience of only having one bus stop, however, we never had a problem with the bus and the bus stop was close by. I did miss the beignets for breakfast!

Im here IM HERE!!! WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO

Hi Mo!:wave2:
Following along! :)

Welcome!:wave2:

So, in keeping with tradition, we checked out the food court and then boarded a bus to the Magic Kingdom! We arrived at the park about 12:40 pm. It was very hot and humid!

I was starving, so we headed to Pecos Bill for lunch. The lines were long, but I love the cheeseburgers here and the fixin's bar. So we waited. Placed my order, swiped my card and it asked for a pin. A pin??? I didn't know anything about a pin. The CM that checked us in never mentioned a pin and did not ask us to input one in the system. Luckily the cm at Pecos Bill overrode the computer and let us use the DDP for lunch. Loaded my burger up with fried onions and mushrooms and went to find Charlie, who had gone to save a table. Finally found him and sat down to eat. I had apple slices with my burger and carrot cake for dessert. C had the deluxe burger with French fries and the chocolate cake for dessert. I don't think I have a picture of this meal.

The first attraction that C wanted to see was the Tiki Room and a show was just about to start. Then we headed over to Pirates of the Caribbean, but the ride was down. Headed back over to Frontierland. The lines for Splash Mountain and BTMRR were long, so we rode the train to New Fantasyland. We rode the Little Mermaid ride and then walked around looking at all the new rides and other attractions. Went to see Philharmagic, then headed to the Haunted Mansion. The line was loooong! We shared a bottle of water, then went back to ride HM. I love this ride! Walked back over to POTC and it was open with a 10 minute wait time. When we came out it was raining with lightning and thunder, so we got a drink and sat undercover since we did not have our ponchos with us. When the rain let up some, we walked back to Main Street and window shopped until it was time for our dinner reservation. Where did we eat???

Tony's Town Square Restaurant - one of my favorites. I know it doesn't get great reviews, but we've never had a bad meal here. We requested an outside table, since the humidity decreased after the rain.

The cm who took us to our table took our picture by the fountain.

Also saw this -

Charlie had the ciopinni and I had the chicken parmesan - which was our server's choice. I don't remember what we had for dessert..:scratchin. We decided to head back to the resort after dinner. Didn't want to get caught up in the parade crowd - after all, we had been up since 4:30 and I wanted to watch the football game because my Ravens were opening the season in Denver. I put the game on, watched the first quarter and part of the second before I fell asleep - which, considering how badly they played in the 2nd half, was a blessing.

Tomorrow - where are Terry and Charlie headed and what will they be wearing????

I am such a bad Dis friend Tess!!! I am so sorry that I didn't see your link until now!

But I am here and following along!

I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your outfit for Epcot! That is sooooo cute!!!!!!! I want that skirt in a BAD way! LOL Did you make it?

And Charlie... I can already tell that I :lovestruc him! Any man who lets you dress him up in character shirts and smiles... Well, he's a keeper in my book. Can we pretty please have him teach Josh how to be this way?

And I love your little furbabies - so cute!!!!!!!!!

No worries - I am not done responding yet...

I feel your pain - truly I do.

YAY! Charlie and I decided we'd stay at a hotel near the airport on Wednesday night. Excellent idea to stay at a hotel nearer to the airport... Bummer about the subs though.

We were all packed - uh oh, I realized I only had 2 ME tags but 3 suitcases. Yeah, I know 3 suitcases for 2 people? Well, one had our pirate costume stuff. So I told C that we would have to carry that one on the plane. OK, no big deal.

Yikes! Well - at least you could carry it on.

After dinner, we loaded up the car. C had taken the dogs to the "Country Comfort Kennels and Camp for Pets" - I kid you not. We've taken the dogs there for a number of years, but this was Ringo's first time in a kennel and I was a bit worried about him.

I hope it went well for him.

Yup - I knew I :lovestruc Charlie... Any man who can be excited about Disney AND wear character shirts AND smile about it... He's a GOOD man in my book! He reminds me of Kathy's Mark... I need to seriously plan a trip with the two of you at the same time, so some of this pixie dust rubs off on Josh.

We parked the car in the long-term parking and took the shuttle over to the airport, check 2 of our bags and went through security with no problems and no long wait. Why is it that every time I fly out of BWI, the gate my plane is at is the very last one on the concourse???? EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

I hate that!

I love flying Southwest and use them whenever I can. We had A boarding passes and were able to sit near the front of the plane with a window seat!!! My favorite seat. The flight was uneventful and we were soon landing in Orlando.

Yay for a safe and uneventful flight.

Headed to the ME and they were boarding our bus, which was headed to the Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk and Caribbean Beach resorts. I thought we'd be the last stop, but yahoo! Caribbean Beach was the first stop!

Yay!!! My favortie thing to do! MK on arrival day!

I don't think I have a picture of this meal.

I know - I was shocked about the pin code thingy too - but I was able to remember mine - I had input it online when they switched over to the new website. So happy you were able to eat!

The first attraction that C wanted to see was the Tiki Room and a show was just about to start. Then we headed over to Pirates of the Caribbean, but the ride was down. OK - so maybe I was wrong... Maybe Charlie doesn't actually SMILE at the exact same time he is wearing the character shirts - but he looks like he WANTS to. :beach:

WOW!!! A double rainbow - IN DISNEY!!!!!!!!! How awesome is that?

Oooh - can't wait to see where you are headed and what could you be wearing?

Glad you are here D~ My tr will not be as exciting as yours is, but we did have fun!

Yes I made the skirt - its actually a skort - a Quik Sew pattern.

Charlie is definitely a keeper!

The room was very comfortable, except maybe for the double beds. Though they were not uncomfortable, we just have a king bed at home. Luckily we are not very tall people, so it worked out ok. We both slept well!

Yay!!! My favortie thing to do! MK on arrival day!

I know - I was shocked about the pin code thingy too - but I was able to remember mine - I had input it online when they switched over to the new website. So happy you were able to eat!

I forgot to mention that after we ate lunch we had to go to guest relations to see if we could get pin codes for our KTTK cards. Not going to be able to eat without them... We did have success - and no problems using them for the rest of the trip.

Also, I left the Photopass+ certificate in the room, so we don't have any photopass pictures from day 1, or apparently from day 2 - photopass photographers were sadly lacking in EPCOT.

Okay - on to day 2 -

LOL - I guess Charlie doesn't smile very much, but then, that is his happy face.

He loved the seagulls the last time we were there, so he has a seagull shirt. Since I don't have a picture of me, this was my shirt -

I thought we had pictures taken at the fountain on this day. I must have been mistaken.

We started out getting our photopass card. I was thinking we would get our pictures taken on the way out, but it didn't work out that way. I'll explain why later.

Our next stop was, where else? Spaceship Earth. I love this ride. Then we headed over to Innovations West. My favorite part here was going through the "green" house.

The line for Test Track was already long, so we headed over to The Seas. But first we made a stop at the new Starbucks. Charlie had a coffee and I had a scone - it was very fresh! Rode the Nemo ride, and walked through the aquarium. Then we rode Living with the Land and then waited in line for Soarin'. Then we had lunch at Sunshine Seasons - yummy! We both got Mongolian beef - mine with noodles and C got his with fried rice.

It was a little spicy, but not too much. Then we had dessert -

I had the strawberry shortcake and C had the key lime torte. We rode Living with the Land again and then headed outside.

We rode Imagination with Figment and then headed back over to see how the line was for Test Track - way too long and there were no FPs left. We strolled through Mouse Gears and when we came out a storm was rolling in. We sat down to wait it out. C had a coffee and I bought some caramel corn. The storm didn't look like it was going to end soon, so I suggested we head over to Mexico, since it was all inside to wait it out. We put on our ponchos and headed over to Mexico. Rode the Three Caballeros and walked though the shops/stands. Watched the glass blower make a bird. Then we decided to see if the rain had ended. It had not.

Charlie suggested we walk over to the Boardwalk, so we walked around the World Showcase and out the back gate. We had a lovely walk around the Boardwalk and over to the Yacht Club and Beach Club. One of these days I'll stay there!

Headed back to EPCOT. We had dinner reservations at Via Napoli. We checked in about 20 minutes early, but did not have to wait very long for a table. Charlie had veal parmesan and I had Pizza Piccante (with sausage). I had a glass of Sangria with dinner - I highly recommend it.

After dinner, we were exhausted from our long walk, so we headed out of the park. It was still raining a bit, so the photographers were not out, so no photopass pictures.

Tomorrow - Hollywood!:cheer2:

WHAT?!?!?! this is an outrage!!!!

this was my shirt -

AWWWWW love this!!!!

I had a glass of Sangria with dinner - I highly recommend it.

Recommend the sangria right? LOL

Tomorrow - Hollywood!:cheer2:

Ya think??? that's a LOT!!!

Sorry for not posting the next update yet. I had baseball tickets on Tuesday and had to work last night. Stay tuned for the next update tonight!

We started our day the same as we did the day before and most days afterwards! Coffee for dh, tea for me (I really don't care for the coffee at Disney!) and some type of bun or pastry. Yesterday we each had a cinnamon bun. Today I had a chocolate croissant and dh had a cinnamon bun. I think he had cinnamon buns every single day!

Sat outside and enjoyed my tea and pastry and tried to catch up on facebook a bit before we headed back to the room, showered and dressed for the day. I have to add that we were exhausted from our travels yesterday and we both slept for about 12 hours. Honestly! We are not really early morning people and have not yet made rope drop at any park. We will try for that next time.

So what did we wear today?????

Its Cars day! The weather today was mostly cloudy, with some sun and the humidity was not too bad! We got to the park about 10 - 10:30

The first thing we did when we got in the park, after having pictures done by the photopass photographers, was to head to Toy Story Mania and grab some fastpasses. I think this was probably the very first time I've ever gotten fastpasses. It was painless. Our return time was about 4:50-5:50 pm.

Ok, so we had some time before we needed to come back. First stop was the Jack Sparrow show. We waited about 10 minutes to get in. Not something I ever need to do again, but it was fun for the kids. We headed over to the backlot tour. Again, not a very long wait. I agree with D~. I wish they would stop as they go through the costuming and stage shop areas. I'd love to have a job making costumes at WDW! Though I'd probably get sick of making 500 of one costume.

Next stop was for coffee and water. I ended up talking to the DVC guy and set up an appointment for the next day to go talk to the sales rep and take the tour. Charlie and I had been talking about the possibility of buying DVC, so I didn't think it would hurt to find out more about it.

Next stop was the Muppet Show - I love the Muppets. I used to watch the Muppet Show on tv, and they haven't changed at all since then!

Lunch time! We ate at the Commissary - C had his usual cheeseburger and I had the seafood - fried shrimp and fish. It was good, but I did not take any pictures. I'm not a very good photographer, am I?

Next was the Great Movie Ride. This was probably the longest wait we had all day - it was about 20 minutes before we got to the front of the line. We had the gangster.

Went back to see the Muppets again and then rode the Star Tours ride - I love this ride and this was Charlie's first time, but it made him dizzy, so we did not ride it again. Though I could have ridden by myself.

Went to see the Indiana Jones show. The show started, the first part was done - they finished rolling the "stone" back into place. Then they announced that thunderstorms were moving into the area and they had to cancel the rest of the show. Told us to come back for the 5:30 show. Uhm - No, thanks.

Anyway, it started to rain and thunder, so we needed to find an indoor activity, so we rode the....Great Movie Ride, again. This time we had the cowboy!

Then it was time to ride Toy Story Mania. C and I have never ridden this ride before so we were looking forward to it. We did have lots of fun, but I swear my counter was off - I only scored 43700 and C scored 186000! I know that mine did not change for the last set of shots! Oh well, C would claim he whomped me no matter what the score actually was. He never seems to remember losing any game! LOL

Time for dinner!

We ate at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was not expecting to be the hitchhikers in the back seat! I thought the counter space was extremely small and it was way too dark to see the menu even. C and I both had milkshakes and the ribs. They were actually pretty good. I know everyone says to order the burgers, but I was kind of burgered out and wanted to eat something different. I think we made a good choice. The sci-fi movie clips were fun!

After dinner, we walked back over to Toy Store Mania, but the wait was over an hour, so we thought we'd go see the Little Mermaid show, but it wasn't until 7:30. It was only about 6:45, so we went to see the Walt Disney Show. I love going through the "museum" and reading all the information. It always amazes me. Watched the movie and by the time it was over, it was too late for the Little Mermaid show.

We decided to head back to CBR. When we got back, the movie was just starting in the courtyard, so I sat down to watch "Tangled". Sad to say, I had never seen that movie. I sat on a stone bench and watched the whole thing!

Some pictures from HS -

We did not stop to see Sulley and Mike, but I did manage to get a shot as we walked passed.

This is outside the park entrance.
