10 Days in October: Argle-Bargle or Foofarah? UPDATED: POSTS #984 & 995!!!

Great update, Brenda! I have to show my DS the Plankton pics. He's the world's biggest Spongebob fan, so he will LOVE it! Looks like Plankton had quite the busy day!

I also struggle with the fine, straight hair, although I don't have much of it! So fun to deal with, isn't it? :sad2:

I bought my dad Team of Rivals for Christmas. He loves that stuff and says it's a great book. I hardly ever read just for pleasure, except when new Harry Potter books come out, that is!;) Then DS and I will be wrestling each other for rights to read it first! My DD is quite upset that the release date is on her birthday, as she thinks her big day will be totally overshadowed by HP7! I have to keep it in perspective, it's not every day my little princess turns 10.

Looking forward to more!

Monday, October 23rd - This Day Just Goes on Forever and Ever and Ever and...Well, You See Where I'm Going With This, Right?

**Author's note: I debated whether or not I should post this segment tonight in light of what took place in Virginia today. And then I decided that if nothing else, maybe someone who could use a smile might come across these pictures in the next day or two and find just a moment of release. For any of you who have been affected directly or indirectly by this tragedy today, you have my deepest sympathy - I hope you are surrounded tonight by people who love and cherish you.**

Thanks Brenda. We have a thread over on the Community Boards. For anyone who would like to say anything about family or friends or just VA Tech in general I would encourage you to go over and check it out.

Plankton is a hoot! I'm so glad you updated--I've tried reading other trip reports the last couple of days and "they just ain't the same"! Although, I do feel that it is a challenge now to keep up with everyone's literary diversions; mine currently are running more toward "No, David, No!" and "Babar Loses his Crown"! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: Plankton is the best! Seriously, I needed that laugh today..I am sure many of us did.
Thanks for the laugh therapy, I really do believe that it helps!
On with the show Brenda...can't wait to see the Hair-Do..or was it a DON'T!??? dun dun dun...j/k i am sure its de-lovely! :goodvibes

Still thoroughly enjoying your travel adventures :) Ya know... whenever I hear the word 'monorail' that song pops into my head. I shall probably think of you in October when we ride it and my DH bursts into song... Ok fine, if we're alone I'll be singing too :lmao:

The next installment will be almost exclusively Plankton, I promise! :goodvibes

Did you get a mini HP fix this weekend with the ABC movie marathon?

I did! As soon as I'm finished reading my current book, I will be rereading "Order of the Phoenix" and "Half-Blood Prince." :woohoo:

Ok back to reading about Plankton's escapades!

I believe Plankton was spotted near Beaches and Cream attempting to misappropriate frozen-type-comestibles from unsuspecting patrons....

"Hey you! Pencil-neck! That's right, I'm talking to you! Surrender that ice cream cone or every waking moment for you will be a swirling torrent of pain and misery!"

You won't believe the stuff that Plankton gets into on Tuesday over at Epcot...;)

I also struggle with the fine, straight hair, although I don't have much of it! So fun to deal with, isn't it? :sad2:

Jay's hair is naturally curly and he hates it while I'm sitting over with dark brown corn silk on my head...I'd kill for a little natural curl...hell, even a wave or a slight curve...maybe even a bend - bah! nothing. No one is ever satisfied, are they? ;)

Team of Rivals is a really good read, esepcially for anyone interested in Lincoln and the political machine during the Civil War.

Poor DD...I'm sure she's got nothing to worry about. Just be sure that when you and your DS are wrestling over book 7 neither of you ruin her birthday cake. ;)

Thanks for reading! :goodvibes

Thanks so much. :flower3:

I love the Babar books and I don't even have kids! :lmao:

Thank you - I'm glad you enjoyed Plankton's adventure. You are going to really enjoy the Behind the Steam Train tour, which Plankton stowed away on (we didn't pay for him to take the tour!).

Thanks Marion! If someone joins you in the singing of the Monorail song in October be sure to look around and see if it's us! We'll be there 10/15 - 10/25 and I'm sure we'll be doing plenty of singing. :lmao:

I need to go back and re-read the series just to get myself a little more psyched up for the release. :thumbsup2

Guy, haven't seen you around much - I hope you are well. How did you know about Beaches and Cream? ;)

PS. Can I use that quote later? :goodvibes

I love Plankton! I'm forced to watch Spongebob due to my daughter's addiction. It used to drive me nuts, but I like it now because of Plankton and Squidward. I loved seeing him get into trouble in WDW. The one of him in the property golf cart was the best!! :rotfl2:

And, for all the GWTW/Civil War lovers here, The History Chanel has a new documentary about General Sherman's march. It's on Sunday, it looks really good. :goodvibes

Plankton looks like he is having so much fun enjoying his independence.
Sorry about "Report" meant "Affair".
I had a good vacation, thanks. (Have to write that in case one of the nieces is reading this board)
Looking forward to no kids trip for F&W.

I can just imagine the trouble he's gonna get into on this cruise!! (Karen is still kidnapping him yes???)

Ok, I just had to laugh....I "Wikipedia'd Plankton...:lmao:

Family: Karen (wife)

Wife?? Great! There goes my idea for Plankton when (if) he is turned over to this Konked Kruiser in October.

I loved the Plankton episode. He looks so funny in all those settings, especially wearing the Mickey Mouse ears hat! Anyone who would would think of doing a Plankton photo shoot is one zany, fun person. Being able to relax, be silly, and have fun is a great way to reduce stress and stay young. :)

Wait, if Plankton has a wife, that means he cheated on her with that towel floosey!!

My thoughts exactly! Then I thought "no wonder he doesn't have friends" and then I find out he does!! Thanks for raining on my parade Cass. :lmao:

I'll have to have a good talkin' to Mr Plankton when I get my hands on him in Oct. :rotfl2: No one likes a cheater.:sad2:

I'm a bit behind here, but I have to throw my support to the Jasper Fforde material. I'm sure Brenda's fine, but here's a warning though for anyone else feeling inspired by this turn of conversation - if you aren't a complete book worm, you may want to brush up on Jane Eyre before The Eyre Affair and Great Expectations before Lost in a Good Book (only if you liked the first one, of course).

Now, back to Plankton. I'm not as familiar with his past as some of you, but he looks like a darn evil nemesis to me. I'm glad it seems the authorities have caught up with him. I wouldn't want him running loose while I was down there. Just look at the kind of crowd he attracts--towel floozies at Disney World!

Heheheh. And don't forget to brush up on Wuthering Heights, too. ;)
But that's not until the later books. ;)
