10 Days in October: Argle-Bargle or Foofarah? UPDATED: POSTS #984 & 995!!!

:rotfl2: :scared1: I can no longer subscribe to this, well quite shocking tale of filth and debauchery, poor grimace:scared1: :rotfl2:

ps...I have to say what a lucky chappie are Jason is:rolleyes1

Secondly, I was stunned by the response to that last update... I had no idea it was going to come across as that amusing. Needless to say I'm grinning like an idiot today just knowing that I cracked up a bunch of people that I don't even know in the real world. ;)

Heheheh. Please share with Jason my thought when I read the comment
about him liking you without your pants:

"Hmm....Brenda's literacy must be showing again!"

Anyway, the other thoughts were about a song one of the actors who
played Hathaway Browne at the Adventurers Club used to sing during
the Hoopla! (last Library show of the night). It's "The Sheik of Araby",
and a recurring line in the song is "...with no pants on".

And Brenda, I know that typos are the bane of your existence, but
I had to give you grief nonetheless. ;)

"Please stop telling me that I need pants - Jason likes it when I don't wear pants!"

I almost choked on my fruit loops when I read that! And then I had to explain to my 8yod why I was laughing so hard!!! Thank goodness you had that picture of Plankton in there--I showed her that and she believed me...

Denise

You are certainly a prolific writer! I have been busy and not on the DIS much so I just had to read five pages and four or five episodes to catch up! I loved experiencing V&A with you. The food looks great. It reminds me of a place we went to in Puerto Vallarta called Cafe' Des Artists. The food there was indeed presented very artistically and it was excellent.

Kudos on the great pictures and the fun and entertaining story. While I always feel sorry that you are shackled with Grimace, she does add a certain spice to the tale. :lmao: Now get some pants on!

Pants are definately overrated.

GREAT installment. Tea came out my nose.

I wonder if he still sings it? I'll have to listen especially hard next month when we stop in at the AC.

And Brenda, I know that typos are the bane of your existence, but I had to give you grief nonetheless. ;)

Son-of-a-$!@#%.... :headache: But you gotta love the irony of a typo in the edit to fix a typo!! :lmao:

It's good to know that all these Plankton pics are serving a dual purpose!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!!

Hi Kay!! The food at V&A really was great - every time I look at those pics my stomach starts to growl. I'm going to write down the name of that restaurant you mentioned and file it away for furture reference...:thumbsup2

Thanks for reading - I'll be sure to pass on the compliments about the pics to Jason since he's the picture guy in the family. I never know if I'm in focus or not! :lmao:

Grimace does add a nice story telling element, doesn't she? If she only knew...:scared1:

And I am wearing pants today! ;)

Pants are definately overrated.

Thank you Erica. I made tea come out your nose...what a great compliment!! :rotfl2:

I agree! Sheesh! Brenda's on a roll lately! :dance3: It's hard to keep up!

The last installment killed me, too! Man, I would pay A LOT of money to see video of Grimace telling Brenda that was too much information for her!

Let's hope Brenda is keeping her 'love shack' week of sin details of their upcoming trip in May to herself. I think their anniversary day alone would send Grimace screaming! Wooo is it getting hot in here again?

Keep up the great writing, Brenda!!! We all love you!

Cheers!

P.S. How'd the Dr. visit go?

Ok, now that's funny, I don't care who you are. I was laughing so hard that Jake and DH came into the room to make sure I hadn't gone 'round the bend. :thumbsup2

I was pretty sure that this was one of the few rides that Grimace would enjoy - I had researched it in advance of our trip and had been fortunate enough to catch the two-hour episode of Modern Marvels on the History Channel dedicated to Walt Disney World. They had a segment on Soarin' - how it was created, the ride machinery, some of the "secrets" behind the experience. It looked like a lot of fun in a tame, safe environment - just the sort of thing that Grimace could embrace in a half-hearted, lukewarm sort of way.
Being the sucker that I am, I ran to the 'puter and ordered the DVD on Amazon! I love watching that 2-hour DVD of Disney fasination! :teeth:

I looked over at Jay and he had a huge grin on his face (I knew he would) and then I glanced over at Grimace to see how she was enjoying herself...
and her eyes were closed.
:rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Actually they were squeezed shut, as if she were enduring the worst pain of her life. She apparently didn't see a single frame of the movie throughout the entire ride.
When I quizzed her about it after we exited she answered, "I don't like to fly."
Jay and Jon both look as confused as I feel. "But you weren't flying. You were strapped into a giant erector set 10 feet off the floor in front of a giant movie screen."
"I don't like to pretend to fly, either."

BWAHHHHHAHAHAHA!!!! :rotfl2: I love Grimmie!! Just for kicks we should trade mom's for a weekend!!! :lmao: :lmao:

P.S. Seriously, you need to warn me to cover my monitor. I spat my water all over my monitor!!! :goodvibes

Hi Brenda,

I stumbled into your TR 2 dys ago and have been hooked ever since. :goodvibes Excellant writing, I've really enjoyed reading your adventures with your family. My daughter always had to bring her special mascot " funny bunny " with us on all of our trips. LOL I can still remember her getting mad at me and my DS the first time she took it on an airplane. They made her put it through the security xray machine and we teased her about it's eyes glowing green . :rotfl: She's 19 now and its at college with her. ;)

Can't wait to read more. :)

I agree! Sheesh! Brenda's on a roll lately! It's hard to keep up!

Too much caffeine...;) Actually I'm trying really hard to have this wrapped up before we leave for Florida next month, but knowing how I love to talk this thing will never get finished in time.

P.S. How'd the Dr. visit go?

All Grimmie knows is that we're headed back to WDW next month. She doesn't understand why we would want to go back when we were just there in October, but I don't understand why she wants to go back to the casino when she was just there on Saturday. :lmao:

Thanks for the kind words Michelle, as always. I'll send you a PM later about the whole doctor thing - it's kind of weird right now and I don't want to throw all the details out here until I know something concrete. Thanks for asking.

Ok, now that's funny, I don't care who you are. I was laughing so hard that Jake and DH came into the room to make sure I hadn't gone 'round the bend. :thumbsup2

Thank you - glad you got a laugh (or a lot of laughs) out of this episode! :goodvibes

Being the sucker that I am, I ran to the 'puter and ordered the DVD on Amazon! I love watching that 2-hour DVD of Disney fasination! :teeth:

I think it's the best exploration and explanation of WDW I've ever seen. One day I may have to break down and buy it myself because I've yet to see it re-aired on the History Channel.

BWAHHHHHAHAHAHA!!!! :rotfl2: I love Grimmie!! Just for kicks we should trade mom's for a weekend!!! :lmao: :lmao:

I don't know how the Enabler is with strangers, but Grimace sometimes can switch into her alter-ego (just on display for people she may never see more than once in her life, 'cause it's their opinions that matter the most!!) which Jay and I like to call "Charmum." For brief stretches of time she can be the sweetest most charming person you've ever met...even without lottery tickets. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

P.S. Seriously, you need to warn me to cover my monitor. I spat my water all over my monitor!!! :goodvibes

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I could try, but I'm never really sure if an installment is truly worthy of a Spew Warning. Maybe I could post an advisory... The Surgeon General strongly advises that you not read this trip report while eating or drinking unless in the company of a Red Cross trained individual who knows the Heimlich Maneuver...

Thanks for reading, Tracy - you always crack me up!! :thumbsup2

Hi there jeminni - another new reader...how exciting! Funny Bunny sounds so cute - I love that your daughter took it to college with her. :goodvibes

Thanks so much for reading and posting - I'm glad that you're enjoying everything so far. :flower3:

re: The Sheik of Araby:

Sadly, the actor who sings this is not full-time at the Club anymore, but he
will sub in for other actors from time to time. I hear he's currently doing other
live entertainment around WDW. :)

Maybe if we're lucky he'll be performing on a night that we visit. And if not...Jay can always make up a song about Brenda-No-Pants. :lmao:

No-Pants-Brenda, you are just too funny.

And who knows...if the bank thing doesn't work out, you can always apply at the Maison Derriere.

And, as I'm sure everyone's probably thinking, hope you're feeling okay these days. :grouphug:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I love the no pants comment to your mom but her response was classic! I love reading your TR - I can always count on being entertained!:rotfl:

No-Pants-Brenda, you are just too funny.

At this rate everyone's going to have a nickname by the end of this TR - Grimace...Brenda-No-Pants... I gotta find something for the menfolk! ;)

In light of all this talk of pants, this seems too appropriate:

Belle: "Your son was trespassing on my property and destroyed a very valuable stone gargoyle, and ... are you wearing a grocery bag?"

Homer: "I have misplaced my pants."

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

And, as I'm sure everyone's probably thinking, hope you're feeling okay these days. :grouphug:

Thank you so much for that - it was a rough morning for all kinds of reasons that would probably turn everyone's collective tummies. First set of test results will be in on Monday so at least then we can get a better feel for whether its the Crohns acting up or the Endo getting all crazy again. Thank you for thinking of me today.

Thanks for continuing to read, WDW Fan! I'm so glad that you're enjoying this and that you like our crazy sense of humor. :goodvibes

My mom will still say that to me out of the blue now... "That's more than I need to know..." It's become her catch-phrase. :lmao:

Okay, I am on day 3 (just finished the shopping for ears segement). I agree with you about the YOMD decorations. Your monorail idea was great - have you called and suggested it yet. I guess the decorations look weird because WDW is not typically abstract...

Okay, I am doped up on Nyquil so I must go to bed now. Slowly but surely, I will catch up.

Oh I so hate to see your trip report end. Could you just move to WDW and write a daily column? ;)

I'm always going to think of you as Brenda-no-pants! :rotfl2:
The burlesque episode! That one's the best, I love that song!! And at the end when Homer yells at Marge on stage to take if off, and Bart kicks him out! Great episode!! :lmao:
And, I thought of you earlier. DD and I were making cookies, and watching Spongebob. And guess what episode was on? That's right....FUN!! Now it's stuck in my head again.:lmao: :lmao:
