10 Day Holiday Cruise! Pictures! Dec 16-26 2006

Hey Thank you for all the information! I have been reading about cameras all last night. I loved to see your pictures. Don't worry about trying to hijack my thread someone already tried earlier! LOL! I was surprised that someone would do that. Anyway that is another story.

Now I read that 12x is great as long as it comes with image stabilization. Thanks for the links to the cameras, I am going to go look at them. I am definately going to invest in a camera that can take the indoor pictures and the long distance too. I still love my skinny camera even if it can't take that type. I will just have to go back and forth. I love the size. If they could work out the flash issues then it would be perfect!

I think the Sony Cyber-shot® DSC-T10 Digital CameraDSC-T10 is a great carrying around camera. If you really want long distance shots, you really need a digital SLR camera with a telephoto lens.

Sounds like a plan!! DH is the expert, he just sets up everything as this camera had WAY too many settings for me.

Your TR makes me jealous as can be I want to be there instead of sitting at the computer reading the report. I have to say that you did a good job of making me feel like I was there with you. I will start saving my pennys, nickles etc.

I just wanted to let you know that we had several instances where a counselor was actually surly and rude to both me and my dd. I had enough of that about day 8 and went to the club and asked who was in charge? The counselor in question was not there(COLLEEN US) The counselors there said, "we are", and laughed nervously. I smiled and just asked to speak with the officer in charge of the clubs. One said,"oh no, I'm getting fired." Jokingly. But they got him on the phone and he actually came down pretty quickly.

I told him of our interactions with Colleen and and he pulled out a notebook and took notes. I said that she did not embody the Disney Spirit that I have found everywhere onboard! He said they knew about it and were trying to work with her on that issue. I said I don't know if I am the only one complaining but I just couldn't let it go since it wasn't an isolated incident but an ongoing problem throughout the cruise. He said that, "no you aren't the only one to bring this to my attention."


I don't know what happened with that but I just hope she doesn't treat any other parents or children the way she treated us! She would actually sigh and act like checking in dd up at topsiders was so much trouble. Dd also said she would yell at the kids in the club but that no other counselors yelled just her.

To be sure she was on the comment card and not in a good way!

this was a personal boat parked next to the Magic, notice the large sail boat onboard and the helicopter and the helo landing pad and the car next to the boat for size orientation. Someone said it belonged to a Russion billionaire. It was called Le Grande Blu

Really! how cool. We had a lot of Dis'ers on our hall, were you one of them? You should definitely post a tr. It is fun to relive it by writing it! I actually have more pictures to post from Castaway Cay!

Did you try the roasted chestnuts on Christmas Day on Castaway Cay??? I love chestnut stuffing (that my friend makes!) It was so cool that they had them on the island. No jack frost nipping at your nose though!

I started writing a trip report but didn't get very far - I thought I could keep up with it while on board, but that didn't happen. My current goal is a slide show of pictures and then a scrapbook, but I'm having to learn the software. SO WISH ME LUCK!!

mrsnesbit, we were on deck 6 aft. And yes, we did try the roasted chestnuts - they're not my favorite, but we had to try them - I did really enjoy the eggnog, though - we really enjoyed Christmas Day on Castaway Cay (it was neat!!)
