10 Adults---Lots of Good Food!

Flame Tree BBQ

Food: A Would we go back? Yes

DH got the chicken, and I got the ribs and we shared. Both were excellent. The ribs were very tender and delicious. I am not a big fan of BBQ baked beans, but I fell in love with the beans they served there! It also came with a corn bread muffin, which was okay. The chicken was great – especially the dark meat. For dessert we ordered the chocolate cake and it came in a nice little sealed package, which we saved for breakfast the next day.

Here is my important tip: Eat under cover. We started out by the lake in the nice sunshine, but I kept hearing mysterious plops all around me. Luckily the birds missed my food and we moved!

My best attempt at answers:
Yes they add the 18% gratuity to each bill. (I don't think they would count your 6 month old, so you probably won't get the automatic 18%)
You do get 2 receipts at the end: 1 with the zero balance and also tells you the amount of TS meals you have left. (The CS balance only appears when you get a CS receipt). The other receipt is for the 18% gratuity, which you can pay by cash, credit card, or charge to your room, if staying on property.
I hope I answered what you needed to know!

Thank you Kristenhh :) Now I understood, even if 18% is mandatory (automatically added to Bill), I still have an option to pay by Cash, Credit Card, or charge to room.

I used to charge tips (and non-included items) to room, but last trip the room bill was messed up and it took me hours (yes - 30 min wait in line, and 30 min going thru the charges with CM at resort front desk + wait for her ) ....when I am done my cranky DD3 fell asleep I would rather spend the wait time in MK for rides :-)

So I guess for my upcoming trip, I will request my Resort Key to be "not valid for charging" and pay everything by Cash or CC.

Thanks for the reviews. We love Le Cellier also. We like Bomas also. The Pineapple cheesecakes were good.

Sunshine Seasons Café

Food: B Dessert: A Would we go back? Yes

I had to include a dessert grade here because that is the best part of this counter service meal. Most CS places have a pre-packaged, limited dessert option, but not here! They have a whole bakery case from which you can pick. My personal favorite is the tulip tart – and I was also happy to learn you could get one for a snack credit as well.

I branched out of my comfort zone and had the seared ahi tuna on greens. It was quite tasty, especially considering I almost never eat fish. My husband had 2 things from the Asian counter, and my brother and SIL’s had the turkey sandwich. I don’t think DH was overly thrilled with his food, but it wasn’t bad.

This is a fun place because they have many choices and did I mention the dessert?

Pecos Bills

Food: C Dessert: C Would we go back? No

We had burgers, and while the fixings bar was nice, there wasn’t even room in the tiny cardboard container they give you, to fit anything. The dessert we had was pre-packaged carrot cake, which wasn’t bad, but not great either. I think I would try a different CS place next time. (Actually, that was my plan this time, but the cranky people I was with at the time, didn’t want to walk anywhere!)

Pizza Planet

Food: A Dessert: B Would we go back? Yes

I know that most people don’t like any CS in Hollywood Studios, but the 2 times I have been there, the pizza was excellent and the salad that came with it wasn’t fancy, but was nice to have. All of us enjoyed our meal. We ate outside so it was quiet. We had Mickey Rice Krispie treats for dessert, which I took home and gave to friends. I would not hesitate to go here.

Anandupur Food Services (Yak & Yeti CS)

Food: D Dessert/Side: C Would we go back? No

Three of us ate here, and I would not return. One cool things was, you get one of the side dishes (egg rolls or fried rice) instead of a dessert, which is what we did. I asked the cashier what the best entree was, and she recommended the shrimp lo mein, so I went with her suggestion. It was yucky. Even fast food Chinese food in the mall is much better. The egg roll I had was not very good either. My brother had the Kung Pao Beef and my Sister in Law had the honey crispy chicken. Neither of them were impressed either.

Wolfgang Puck Express

Food: A Dessert/Side: B Would we go back? Yes

Wow, we decided just to go hang out at Downtown Disney, and thought we would try it. It was delicious. My DH and I split a pizza and a fancy salad. Both were so good. The dessert was pre-packaged key lime pie and cheese cake, and were both just okay. But the main meal was well worth a trip here.

Yakitori House

Food: B Dessert/Side: C Would we go back? Yes

We liked the food here, I couldn’t give it an “A” because it doesn’t hold a candle to the terayaki I can get at home. The dessert was either of slice of ginger cake (I didn’t like it) or a pre-packaged chocolate chip cookie (it wasn’t very good either) But compared to a lot of CS food, I liked it.

Cosmic Rays

Food: B Dessert/Side: B Would we go back? Maybe

Both DH and I had the Rib/Chicken combo. This place, is a good reason to get the DDP. I figured our CS was free, because the TS basically used the money I had paid. At this place, the meal was $13.99 each, plus the cost of a drink and dessert. That said, the ribs were not nearly as good as the Flame Tree BBQ. It could have just been a bad day.
