Yay! The first installment.

The video was too funny. Your son seems like he hadn't really woken up yet.

Glad the flight was on time and everything is going smoothly so far.

No He wasnt up yet. He also thought my DH was being a "funny guy", and that it had something to do with FIOS coming that day.

I am here for the partay... A lil' late but I found ya! I remember reading another trippie from you in the past, am I right? I remember your son in pics with a broken arm? wasn't that your trippie? BTW, your children have grown so much if I remember correctly. Time sure flies by and we usually can tell by their pics . So treasure each day, I sure do!

He had a broken arm on our last trip in Aug. 2007.
He does not play football anymore. I miss it but not the broken limbs.
He runs track and still plays basketball and baseball. They sure have grown, and I do. They both are great kids.

OMG...Pam we just closed last month, one contract thru resale, and then we added on another contract thru Disney (which went super smooth, and they added the points on that same day, NYE!!! believe it or not!) I have a S-U-P-E-R guide, PM me and I can pass on his name to you. We took the tour of DVC this past Labor Day trip and immediately upon coming back I started researching. We didn't go with what was offered initially on the tour as we weren't interested in AKV and didn't care for our first tour guide. So fast forward we are planning our first trip HOME, and are soooo excited! We feel that we should of done this ten years ago, on our first trip.... but then again better late than never! Crazy weather here in the northeast, huh? Hoping these snow flurries stop as we have been shovelin for the past three days!!! Best!

You have to love MCO airport. It to me is the best airport in the USA. Philly sure is not. We are always under some kind of construction; it always looks like a war zone. We are welcomed by a huge Christmas tree. Which I took a picture of, but DD since this was her camera took it upon her taurus the bull self to delete pictures from the camera one day. Of course DH landed her a new one for doing so. So I don’t have the pictures I took at the air port since she thought they were too dark and would not come out. We head right down to the fake monorail and then in line for ME. The line was long but we waited not even 5 minutes. We then got in lane 4 for POFQ. We waited there about five minutes before being direct to our bus.

We sat on the bus about 10 minutes.

Then off we want to the resort.You could see the effect of the housing crisis just driving on the ME bus. We want passed a huge house development that you could tell many of the houses were abandoned. These were not the type of house you would think to be abandoned. Those types of homes go for around $400 thousands near me. It was sad. First stop was Saratoga Springs. DH really like this resort, and I told him it was a DVC resort. Which I repeat numerous times to DH during this trip.. Then Port Orleans French Quarter.

Bad picture but DH took it from the bus for me.The flowers were purple and yellow petunias. IN JANUARY!!!!!!!!
We were greeted by a man opening the door for us and saying “Welcome home” He handed DD and DS fake coins to throw in the fountain. One of the many things that makes POFQ a special resort. We walked right up to check in. Our CM was a bit hard to understand. I could tell she was new. She asked us if we drove a car. Which I thought it would show on the ressies if we did right? Anyway she then wished DS a happy birthday, but did not give him a pin. I asked if she had one and she said no. Ok, what will you celebrate is the theme and you don’t have pins at the resorts? Strange… So she then proceeded to tell me that our room is not ready. We were hoping to freshen up a bit. I see a younger girl walk by with a what will you celebrate balloon. Ok, maybe she did not give DS one because he is older, but what the heck I wanted a balloon. LOL I look at my watch and it is 3:20. I then asked her when it will be ready, she is not sure. So I said well it is 3:20. I was not trying to be rude, it just seemed like she was very clueless. She then asked a different CM who said about 45 minutes. That we can call back etc. We head over to give our carry on’s to be holed. We use the bathroom at the resort. Ok, If you have never stayed at POFQ and would like to stay here, skip the next picture so that you have the same reaction I did when you stay here. I come running out of the bathroom and DH and DS and DD are waiting outside for me. The sun was shinning so bright, they were soaking it all in. I scream, “I need the camera quick.” They are all like ok. At this point I am laughing hysterical back into the building and the door man is looking like.. I love my job. I go in and get this for all of you!

I love this toilet. Thank god no one was in there with me, can you imagine me going potty and laughing. I go out and tell the doormen that I had to take a picture of the toilets. He laughs, unique aren’t they, he said. DH refuses to put one in the bathroom at home

I LOVE MCO or Mickey Country as it's affectionally called. And riding that little monorail always sets up for what's to come, especially at WDW. And I love, love, the hotel in there too. Did you see the Disney Store? There's one there once you get off the monorail thingie.

Yes, the hotel is amazing. We did go in the WDW store before coming home.
They have so many shops!

Thanks! I know I felt bad but, Disney needs to put people there who are ready and more welcoming. I felt a damper on my excitement, and we all know that is not good.

I'm sure they had buttons, but all the buttons changed on Jan 1. So she may have thought that since they didn't have the new ones yet, she just decided not to give you an old one, or was just too tired to go get one. Hopefully you were able to get one later in the day/week.

I'm wondering if I'll get anything when I arrive and check in at POR. When I first booked I told the girl when my birthday was (she asked if we'd be celebrating anything). But, then I had to change my booking to add the dining plan. I assumed the guy just kept all of the information when he did it (I didn't have to give it to him again), so I'm figuring it'll still say in there that it's my birthday. I want it to be special!! I'll be turning 35!!! I'm not really happy about turning 35, just that I'll be at Disney for my birthday.

Hi DisneyJo I feel like I have a celebrity reading my report now. I remember you from the fockers and disneyland mama's reports. I saw you were chosen to be on the Disney mom’s panelist. I was like "OMG SHE IS A DISER" while watching the video introductions. How great! How is it going? Did you really have a toliet like that? I fell in love with the look of them. Plus, I thought geez they look easier to clean! My DD was ok with what I packed. I had to buy her new shorts for the trip, and she frowned upon them. I don’t know, could be she did not know. I have seen at other resorts them give out first time pins, etc. I will have to come over and read all about you being a DMP!

Glad you like it! I sure did. I don’t know if POR has them, but they might. If they have different ones, take a picture for me. Call back and see if it was noted on your ressie and ADR's. When I called to cancel the ddp, the CM I spoke to heard all about the surprise etc. I was chatty that night. She noticed it was not on there. My DS did get something in the room, so I think you will too. Turning 35 is a big deal, only five more till 40! I turned 32 and stayed there. Thanks to my lovely children who wrote on my 31st birthday card happy 32nd birthday.
So When I did turn 32 I stayed there, and have been for many years now.

Awww you're so sweet thanks So did you recognise me in the video? You hadn't known before? Wow! And yes I did have a toilet like that, we had a really old house and I can even remember locking myself in, I was about 8 and I had to chuck the key (it was an old door) out of the window for my Dad to then come and unlock it

To the bus stop we go. DH has to take a picture of us sitting at the bus stop. Who let him have the camera? He drives me crazy because he never takes pictures that you went him to take.

He takes a picture of the year of a million dreams, and says hey we already did that, we are here to celebrate!
He does not give you a chance to pose, just snaps the picture.

I holed back my Kate Gosselin mode. (As I like to call it now) Tell DH to give me the camera, and tell the kids don’t let Dad have the camera. We catch the first bus that comes. It happens to be DHS. The bus is a bit packed at this late in the afternoon. Standing room only. The bus driver informs everyone that MK is at capacity, DHS is close to capacity and Epcot if we are lucky might still have room for one of us. He was joking of course about the last thing. I then ask him what time did they were at capacity, he said MK was by 10:00 am. It open back up for 30 minutes and then down again. He said DHS would close most likely by 5pm and Epcot would be open and closed as folks come and go. I told him we figure that. I was almost helping him drive the bus, I was standing so close. We get off at DHS, and this is my first look at what’s to come. So many people!!! I spot the huge tree and fall in love.

The tree is huge! It has Santa faces all over it, that light up. Anyone my age will remember this from the 70’s. We use to have a huge living room window, and ever year we put this Santa in it. Memories….

My first…” STOP GUYS LET ME TAKE A PICURE” Moment.
We then head over to the bus stops, we jump on a bus going to the WL. We walked around and looked at the christmas tree and the decorations.
DD and myself check out the gift shop, and the pin stand.

WL was very busy today. So many people looking or around the tree, that I could not get a good picture of the tree. There was a CM taking pictures on the other side, but I dont think it was photopass. DH was to go ask, but we forgot. We decide to eat at roaring forks. This is a small place, but DS wanted a burger and I figured they would serve one. DH had a roast beef sandwich; he said it was the worst sandwich ever. DS had a cheeseburger, DD had kid’s nuggets and I had a kid’s burger. Which was the perfect size for me. Half way through the meal, I say "shoot I forgot to take a picture for the my report". So sorry no picture. We did not look around outside, as we already did that on our last trip. I wanted to get to the next hotel.

After we ate we caught a bus to the Grand Floridian. I have to tell you the sun shines over this place so beautiful. The view of MK is amazing!

My pictures don’t do the view any justice.
If I had my good old cheap Kodak camera, the picture would have been so much better.
The gingerbread house was gorgeous.

But I was a bit disappointing as it was smaller then I thought it to be. All Samantha Browns fault, I am disappointed.
I did not smell the gingerbread. I over heard later it blows out the smell of gingerbread. I guess we missed that.

DH'S PICTURE TAKEN ONCE AGAIN!!!!!!!!

I love the GF. The gardens are awesome. I could just walk around there all day. Someday I would like to stay here, if even just for a night. I am not to thrilled with the room decor, but I just would like to add it to my I stayed there list. I think someday when it is just DH and myself, and we are old and cant walk the world as much...we will stay at GF.

We then headed to the bus stop and first bus to come again was DHS. This becomes the norm for this trip. "It is a DHS bus"! We got off again at DHS and past the big tree, which I can not get over. We get in a long line for the boat over to the Yacht Club, Beach Club etc. We stand on the boat, as it was busy too. DH stood out back where he is not to be, and tapes the whole boat ride. Ok, I feel my Kate Gosselin mode coming on. I give him the eye, and DD even says Dad you are not be out there standing. ::cop: We are told that we can get off at the swan and dolphin and it is a quicker walk then the boat. So of course we get off, before DH is thrown off. I love the Shades of Green hotel. Very pretty hotel. We walked from there to the Boardwalk. Which was a bit confusing, if I remember right? Plus my feet are starting to get tired, and my head is hurting a bit. We walked around the boardwalk and took in all the sites.

Many folks here were dressed up for NYE, and I felt a bit out of place. Even though I felt AT HOME HERE! It is themed like my east coast shore, and I love the shore.
We are ready to take on the kitchen sink, at beaches and cream.

Beaches and cream was a very small place and very crowed. They have a podium outside for you to check in. We are told about 30 minutes wait time. We sat outside the shop at a table, which was nice. My contacts were really dried and my eyes started to hurt. DH and DS go into ESPN arcade to play some games. DD and I are a bit tired and just want to sit now. I started to feel worst and hit the bathroom close by to take them out and put some water on them. The bathroom there near the pool is so neat. If I did not feel so bad, I would have want back and took a picture with my camera. I believe now I maybe I had jet lag. LOL yes from a two hour flight. I had never felt so crappy after a flight. But since we stepped off the plane I felt off. The longer we waited, the more my head and eyes hurt. DH told me to suck it up we are in Disney. He knows when I get a head ache it is bad. So I gave him a dirty look and he took a picture.

I look awful don’t I? This could be my Kate Gosselin look!

Finally.. our buzzer went off. We waited about 35 minutes. We were seated right in the front by the door. We were given, menus when seated. When our waitress came we explain to her that we just were here for the kitchen sink. She came back with some waters for all of us.Which I thought was very nice. So of course, I thought we would be served in no less then ten minutes. How long can it take to make a sundae right?
