Just yersterday I was going through DCL's web page and wondering what to order in advance.

I was very atracted to the Mickey's Birthday Chocolatte Cake for DW's Birthday but still thinking about it b/c her birthday is on Nov 1st, our last day and we might not eat the whole cake, it will go to waste after so much candy's and treat and cruise desserts.

Then I looked at the Beer Mug, and decided to get it onboard.

And then I looked at the Halloween Treat Buket which I liked a lot, but since I've no idea of the actual size It might not fit in our luggage, so at the end, didn't get anything :rotfl2:

And still no Mickey Mail  but the good thing is that concierge service at Miami apartment confirmed that they received it last week and it's being shipped this week :goodvibes

The cake is not that big, but in the event that you couldn't finish it, you could always share it with your tablemates at dinner. However, as long as you let your server know it is her birthday (they probably already know), she will get served a birthday cupcake (or any dessert you think she might like) that night at dinner and the servers (usually all servers in that area) will sing to her. That option costs you nothing extra!

:cool1:

In case you haven't seen one of my 362 posts where I mentioned my birthday is 10/30, my favorite birthday option is to go to Palo where this year I will be enjoying Osso Bucco on my birthday!!

Then I looked at the Beer Mug, and decided to get it onboard.

You really should wait until you get on board for this. Anything you order ahead of time will be waiting for you in your stateroom. Depending on what time you get there, your stateroom might not be ready for you.

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but each time you get a refill in your mug, they will actually give you a clean one. If you are finished drinking for the night :lmao: you can turn in your mug to one of the bartenders and they will give you a token so the next day you start with a clean mug.

If you plan to cruise again (and why wouldn't you!?!?!) :confused3, you can turn in your mug at the end of the cruise, and they will give you a token to bring back on your next cruise to get crackalackin as soon as you get on board. If you aren't sure when you are cruising again, get a clean mug before you disembark.

It looks like you have cruised a lot already, so I'm just wondering why you don't already have one . . .

This one I can't help you with. . .

Looks like it is getting closer . . .
:thumbsup2

:rolleyes1
PS - you could also pre-arrange to surprise her with a gift delivered by your server after they sing happy birthday to her . . . or even a gift brought with each course (I bet that could win you some extra points!)

. . . she isn't on here, is she?

The cake would be a real surprise if you ordered it for her earlier in the cruise :scared1: (she wouldn't be expecting it on the second night) and that would give you guys more time to enjoy it.

I also looked at the Halloween stuff but nothing jumped out and grabbed me (which is bad for halloween stuff because it's the one time of year it's okay for something to actually jump out and grab you).

I shouldn't even be thinking about ordering anything frivilous for the cabin because we'll already have the castaway club gift and the gift basket from Dreams Unlimited - how much more stuff do we really need? :3dglasses

No she is not a Disser :lmao:

Thank you for your advices will keep them in mind:goodvibes

Regarding the beer mug I collect them so yes I always buy them onboard I just wanted to make sure I did get one.

And for DW birthday present I'm sure she will be more into one of those hand bags they sell on the ship ( can't remember the name), although the whole cruise is her birthday vacation., anyone would say isin't that enough ? Nooooo, not her :rotfl2:

I'm falling behind on the cruise stuff - I still have to order our water for the room and the cake.

The weekend before our trip we always get our backpacks together and figure out the "money situation" (such as tips). . . so, I have been secretly getting things together to surprise Linda when we get to that point. . .

Each time I had to pick up dinner at "California Pizza Kitchen", I would order our food and then pop in the mall to grab a gift card at the Disney Store (I think I have $250 right now - plus $20 from my Disney Visa).

When it was time to do our reservations, I made a massage reservation for Linda and booked us each a "Parasailing Excursion". For her birthday, I gave her those as a gift certificate, but attached the money for them.

I then have been storing away 1 dollar bills, along with the money to do the 4 tipping possitions.

And for the beer and the water, I just put that on my charge card, and hopefully (I'm not good with secrets) I won't mention anything to her about any of this until we are doing the backpacks!!

Dooney & Bourke? Remember, my birthday is 10/30!!!

Not really, but that's DD job to figura that out. :rotfl:

They are all wonderful!! Maybe you could just let the cast member know that you are giving it for a gift to ensure you can exchange it . . . :confused3

If anyone is interested, I made some more updates to our "itinerary". . . :surfweb:
