Tips:

We were in an inside room. We asked the room host to remove our table from the centre of the room. He put it into storage for us. Made the cabin feel much more spacious and gave Ellis more carpet space to play with toys etc

Dirty laundry: if you dont intend doing and laundry whilst onboard, keep a smallish bag hanging somewhere for laundry. Once full transfer the laundry to a designated "laundry" suitcase under the bed. If there isnt enough space in the drawers for all your clothes, or theres nowhere to put all your shoes and you have room under the bed, use an opened suitcase to slide in and out from under the bed as extra storage.

Ask the room host for more hangers to free up room in the drawers

Bring a mini air freshner for the bathroom

Good morning everyone,

Well it`s a definate that the seasons have changed.. ITS SNOWING!!!! there was only a little when I went to bed last night but now it is still going!!! It looks like the middle of December! LOL I haven`t gotten my snow boots yet to replace my old ones with holes in them..lol guess what i am doing today.. BOOT SHOPPING! lol

also happy B-day to those who are having them!
and Happy anniversary to those aswell

20 sleeps until we cruise!!!!!!!!!



Today is the day to finish t-shirts. They're in the dryer now, then I can do the iron on transfers.

I've also been measuring all the suitcases, trying to figure out which ones would be the best ones to take.

Here's a question, since I fly so infrequently....

We're flying on Airtran, and it's $15 for the first bag. Is that $15 each way, or round trip. Anyone know?

I'll bet you it is each way. That is how it is on Jet Blue. First bag is free, second is $20 I think and that is each way.
I know I'll be bringing 2

Good Morning All

Well it's a typical Oct morning here in Maine . We had rain last night so its very damp and raw. Although at 55 degrees thats not bad. The leaves are really changing now so when the sun comes out it beautiful all the reds and yellows.
Everybody have a great day Oh yes how about Boston College beating FSU sorry Joanne. I know what is was those boys from FLA couldn't stand the cold and rain.

OK, on our first cruise, we weren't used to the small size of a cruise ship cabin, and it wasn't long before the whole place was just a big mess. Part of the problem was that we took too much along. So, for our last cruise we pared down a bit on what we took with us. (Just bring plenty of quarters for the laundry machines) We did do better, but it was still difficult to keep the cabin orderly so that we could find things without digging through a big mess. The vanity desktop was a particularly bad area. It seemed to collect just about everything that didn't have a specific place.

I thought it would be nice in our final three week countdown to share some tips with each other. We have a combination of very experienced cruisers along with some folks cruising for the first time, and everybody in between of course. For example, tips on how early to arrive at the cruise terminal, packing, cabin organization, how early to be at the shows, etc.

I would like to kick off with a call for tips on cabin organization. What tricks have you learned along the way that can help the rest of us.

For example - When getting everyone ready for formal night or to go to dinner, we put the kids on "The Island" They would sit on the couch, or the upper part of the bed while Beth and I scurried around the cabin getting things ready. They couldn't leave the island because of the "sharks". We would rescue them when it was their turn in the bathroom or to get dressed.
