Well hopefully Kathy the weather will start warming up for you. Make sure you bring a coat for SF it's still a little chilly this time of the year. I wish I could see the Wonder in my home port, I do feel a cold (cough cough) coming on though.;)

We are figuring the Wonder will be sailing under the Golden Gate around 6 AM on 4/29, so maybe you just need to get up a little early? We are leaving the Bay at 3 PM on 4/30.

Thanks for the tip about the coat. We are doing the Alcatraz Night Tour and I'm thinking it might get a little nippy out there.

Just stopped in to say hi and see how everyone was doing....:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Hi!

Hello, hello, hello - just thought I'd pop in and catch up. I'm liking the sound of stargazing - love being out on deck on a clear night. I am also very much hoping I get to see at least one fabulous sunrise :thumbsup2

Is anyone else planning to do Palo and, if so, what night? We are hoping to book for the second night (formal night) as the dining room menu I have seen for that night holds the least appeal for our group. We are also hoping to get brunch, although I know this can be hard to get. Not sure which morning would be best for the brunch :confused3

We will probably do Palo but haven't thought about which night yet. I hope there is more availability for Palo brunch - for the Repo cruise, there wasn't any brunch or high tea availability after the concierge and platinum people got done booking. :sad2:

Maybe we could try booking the private room for brunch - I don't remember if it holds 12 or 14.

And I hope you have a Happy Birthday too kiddo!! :yay:

Thanks Nancy! My 1st day in DL will be my birthday and we're going to the Napa Rose for dinner - how cool is that?!?!

Tink & Toby are looking forward to doing some shopping at the DTD Build a Bear store. Their monkey friends have told them there is some special merchandise there...

That's a good idea, I'm liking that :thumbsup2

Ooo I like it too!::yes::

I will find out from my friend Joanne how to do it. I don't think they will confirm anything until 30 days before the cruise, so you should still try to book on your own. If it does come through they will cancel your individual res.

It will have to be 1st come, 1st served. I have 4 people in my party, so that leaves 10 places. How many would you 2 be bringing?

There are 5 of us.

That would be great if someone knows how to go about getting it arranged. When we did the Trans-Atlantic that's the only way we could get into the brunch seating

We've never done brunch at Palo - we'd definitely be interested in a private brunch! We have 3 in our group. If there is a participation limit, is there a way to set up two private brunches?

Joh - where did you see the main dining rotation menus?

We love Palo for dinner, so we defintely will be getting a reservation for that, too. I just don't want to do it on Pirate Night though. I knew we should have done a b2b last month - we'd at least be Gold CC for this upcoming cruise! :rotfl: :rotfl:

The menus were on a site which I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to post here - but basically I did a google search for DCL Menus Eastern and it was the first result that came up. When I get home from work, I can try and post a link on the group FB page if you like.

Who are the 3 in your group? Is it not just you and Rich? Nosey, aren't I? :rotfl2:

That would be great if you could post that link! Thank you! :worship:

Rich's mom has decided to join us for this cruise. The 3 of us enjoyed the Italian restaurant on the Alaskan cruise last year, but Rich is sure she will like Palo better. (Me too, of course.) :cloud9:

It is done :thumbsup2 From recent TRs I have read, I think they are fairly accurate.

That's great - do you get on well with her? I thought, for a minute, that maybe Michelle was coming along again.

Great! Except now I'm seriously hungry and the bowl of soup I brought for lunch seems SO unappetizing now. :lmao:

Yes, his mom is a hoot. When I grow up, I want to be like her! :upsidedow She's never been to Disney though, so she has no idea what she's in for (with the characters walking around the ship) but we know she'll like the food and the private island!

I so WISH my sister was coming along!!! We tried to add her to our stateroom for our cruise last month, but I waited too long and DCL said the ship was full. :headache: Luckily, we have begun to plan a larger family cruise next May, so she'll be in for that! :woohoo: Any Parleyers interested? :dance3:

Keep trying to get your SIS on it seems they always have cancellations. I think you have to call at just the right time and catch one Never hurts to keep tryin' hippie:

You should keep trying! I just added someone to our party last week. Now when I first called my TA she did say the ship was full but we kept trying and she was added 2 days later.

We would be with 2.:thumbsup2

Let's see: 5 + 3 + 2 + 4 = 14 which is the number the room holds.

I believe we have more than one sea day, so I can try to book another day. if we have more people interested, we can start another list. :thumbsup2

I think we'll opt into the FE list. Just waiting for enough posts to pm about it. Do most folks make their own FEs or buy them online? Also, is there an official DIStag? I'm sure I would get answers to all my questions by searching and reading through tons of threads, but I think it helps to chat within the meet group about stuff like this. Helps you to get to know everyone.

a good friend of ours had our FE made for us.:grouphug::woohoo:
or perhaps she made it herself eh "Betsy Ross Nancy"?:lmao:

Why am I so cheery, you might ask? Because two weeks from today, I will be arriving at the cruise port in LA, on my way to boarding the seasoned, but still beautiful, DISNEY WONDER! :yay:

we're excited for you...and the thought that we'll get to see more cruise pics.
:sail:
