I did some research this weekend and ouch! Disney hotels are expensive!! I haven't seen any discounts available for the weekend we are going so we will stay off site unless we see some type of discount pop up - can't pay that much for a place to sleep every night...

One day we will stay on Disney property that is more than just the campground :)

lots of times they have "discount codes" for Disney hotels listed on the DIS. not sure if theres any out there right now..try and do a search.:3dglasses

It took winning a radio station Trip to Orlando contest for me to finally get to stay on the grounds too. But once we did, there was no looking back. :yay:

i hear ya PP..:thumbsup2 1993 we stayed at the Caribbean Beach..(i think that was the value resort then)..and we were hooked forever.:upsidedow

Darly, (I hope that's your name..:)) I believe that's where we stayed before our 2009 cruise and we loved it. You even get breakfast in the morning! :thumbsup2

i thought we stayed at the Residence Inn Maroitt..but then i'm often a bit confused.:rolleyes1

i think we really needed a 'who's going " page to match names to faces...some of you have an unfair advantage in that you already know what we look like....(although i'm sure many of you would like to forget what i look like.:scared1::eek:)

I second this - it would be helpful!

Hi, that's great to know. I just added my name to my siggy (I think?). It's actually Daryl :) Are you staying there again?

Mike, you are correct...."forgive me". ;)

Daryl, sorry, no we are not staying at the CI&S nor are we staying at the Mariott. :goodvibes

I thought that's what our facebook group is for... :3dglasses I've already managed to memorized everyone's face, name, pet's breed, favorite vegetable, and paternal-uncle's-second-cousin - dontcha just love the information superhighway!! :surfweb: :rotfl:

So, is there any talk of an official Parley 2.0 pirate: future cruise date? Just curious. :rolleyes1

Don't I have to friend everyone in the FB group to see their FB page? Otherwise I just see their profile pic?

Not that I am against friending all of you but not sure you will all know who I am on FB. What if you don't accept my friend request?!? Then I will think you don't want to be my real life cruise friend... the dilemmas of FB... (I am kidding of course). But really - I am not sure of everyone's DIS name and their corresponding real life name on FB

Actually, I feel sorry for Robin :lmao:

I guess we'll book something just to get the discount, but I already have a cruise booked on the Dream in March and we booked a Canada cruise on the Magic in Sept.

unless they don't have privacy settings yes you have to friend everyone.

We'll be booking onboard again too, but for the Fantasy. It'll probably just be a dummy date and we'll move it when we win enough money in the lotto to cruise on it. YIKES!! Those prices are getting ridiculous. :scared1:

Well, since Robin has the score cards and is on the look-out for men who are either Italian, in-uniform, or wears a cowboy hat, I am kinda interested in seeing what cruise she books... :cloud9::woohoo::cool1::lmao:

No kidding... Our 7-nt. for next May has increased $1600 in 9 months!! :headache:

As much as I hate saying this...gulp...DCL has just about priced us out of cruising with them again and we may be looking at other cruislines for our next one. :confused3

So much for Disney making it possible for young families to cruise with them anymore. Soon every cabin above sea level will be considered concierge and the only thing affordable will be steerage. :sad2:

If you are planning on bringing alcohol onboard you may want to read this first
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2789412

Makes no nevermind to me. Smoothies are too hard to transport anyway. :rotfl2:

I read a thread where people were talking about others putting alcohol in their checked luggage, breaking open and soaking everything in it. :confused3 Don't feel bad at all for them, just for the person who's luggage was underdneath theirs. :sad2: One reason EVERYTHING in our luggage is packed in ziploc bags...absolutely everything! :thumbsup2

Very true! We will be booking the Fantasy as well, just for Sean and I though. Not sure when we will be sailing either. I really want to take our niece and nephew on a Disney Cruise, but just don't know how I can afford even 2 inside cabins during the summer no less. We'll still more than likely sail out of FL, but may try one of those monster ships with the park in it. Other than that I really think our next cruise will be out of San Francisco to go to Alaska; I do afterall have other people in the family to consider for vacations :confused3

Us either, we usually (well more Sean) have 1 adult beverage per night other than that we would rather save the calories for smoothies and dessert :rotfl:
