Brandi: Believe this when I tell you -- next year, plan your trip about a week later (give or take a day or 2!) so that you can attend Swan and Dolphin's 3rd Annual Food & Wine Classic.

It will likely be the same weekend in October. It puts WDW's Food & Wine Festival to shame. (I hate to say that, but it's true).

Last night's was out on the Causeway and it was amazing. Due to the torrential rains, today's Classic was moved inside the Swan and it was even more amazing!

I will have pictures to post after I get home (not sure how good they will be at capturing the true essence of this wonderful event).

Brandi: that's my thinking too - a long weekend next year. Epcot's food & wine has definitely gone downhill in recent years.

I was not at last year's Swan & Dolphin Food & Wine Classic, but heard it was great. I was determined to try it this year and I am so glad I did! From what the CMs have said, plans are for it to be the same weekend next year. I'm marking that on my calendar as soon as I get home!

For the record, yesterday it rained non-stop; forecast is for the same today. I am heading to MCO in a couple hours.

I am sorry to read that some of you were disappointed in the F&W Festival this year!

We really enjoyed ourselves but we did it more like newbies this year, so maybe that is why. We thought the foods were good and the variety of drinks were nice. I wish there was more wine in the mix, but those who prefer beer and cocktails had to have been pleasantly surprised.

Today we went to a farm to table brunch in B'more of Baltimore Beer Week and had a great time, but now I need to sleep some of the beer off....

I would be game for a meet next year during the Swan and Dolphin F&W time...

David and I went to see Jersey Boys early this year and we really enjoyed it, you will have a wonderful time....

Great pictures! Thanks for posting them. I really had a great time meeting up with everyone. We made it home easily on Wednesday and then it was back to work and the normal craziness of it. I'm missing WDW all ready.

I agree with you, Elin. I really enjoyed the festival this year and really didn't notice any issues. Sandi & I probably won't be back for a couple of years; mostly due to my already planned vacations for next year. I don't think that I will have any vacation left for Food & Wine next year since I have two 2 week trips already planned: safari to Tanzania in February and a family WDW trip in August.

Finally popping in over here!!! It was great meeting you all - I only wish it could've been for longer!!! I'm up for planning another meet!!!

DH LOVED that they had Kona Pipeline - I do think though that if we do F&W again, we will NOT schedule a sit down lunch and dinner - we really didn't sample that much food, which we now regret, because of that - we'd really like to "eat" and "drink" around the world the right way!!! LOL - I enjoyed the lobster rolls though, they were yummmmy and the kahlua pork sliders were good too!!!

So, we are headed back for SWW in May.............. who's with us????

I loved meeting you guys too!!!! You two are so cute!!! (gotta find a pic of my aunt and show you) - We enjoyed F&W - but not as much as I think we could've - if that makes sense!!! AND - I'm SO bummed you won't be going in May - maybe we can plan a meet for another time - although, it's getting harder and harder now with DS and school to plan trips.......... it was OK this time, but, missing a whole week is going to start to really be bad. I know in high school if he misses 5 unexcused days in ONE class, he fails that class.......... so, that makes it impossible to go during school. I DREAD the thought of summers or school holidays - it'll make the parks SO crowded.......... ugghhh

The pictures you all posted are great! Love the one of the "crazy man" on the table. Wendy you cute son looks like he is lovin life at WDW in those pictures.

No SWW next year for us. BUT....we are going to do F & W in October next year. It will also be a BIG anniversary for DH and me. Can't think of a better place to be then WDW for our special day.

So F&W in 2012 meet works for us if anyone is game.
