10/12/08-4 night Wonder anniversary cruise

Welcome aboard dpara, have you been on a Disney cruise before? if not.....get ready for a great time and a great time for the twins!!!!

Go Pats, Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics.

I am afraid the Steelers are going to be one & done this year.:sad1:

Hi Steelernut, sorry the Steelers didn't make it this season, hopefully the Pats will have a better out come this weekend and take care of the Jaguars.

Lets hope the NFL schedule will have the Steelers and Pats both playing on the day we board the ship in Oct. the first round is on me at Diversions.

Thanks for the warm welcome. This will be our first Family cruise. DH and I did a cruise way back when we were 20-something (Carnival) and it's taken us this long to do another one (you can tell how well that one went). We're quite excited.

I have a ton of questions that I'm sure the search engine will answer when it starts working. If not, I'll start to pepper you guys and the rest of the board.

And..................GO PATs!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello All!!!

We ended up changing our cruise date and will be with you all! We are me, DW40, DH43, DD15 and DS13. We may or may not have the teens bring a friend each with??? We are in a Cat 3 (8534). Our 4th DCL cruise and 2nd time concierge...never going back:) We own at BWV and will be staying there after the cruise. Being from MN we like to take advantage of a 5-day school break and vacation at this time.

Looking forward to sharing more info....see you all soon!!!

Amy

Well just as we get a new one, and another Minnesotan at that, I'm popping by to say I'm changing cruises so I won't be cruising with you all.

Enjoy your time together!

Welcome aboard Amy, wow cat3 that must be a nice stateroom.
The folks that we are helping celebrate there 50th anniversary on this cruise are also from MN.
Happy to know you'll be joining us on this cruise, we do have one thing in common, your DH and I are the same age.....must have been a good year :thumbsup2

Well this is my first post to the disboards! But I have been reading them for months. As of Monday I have booked the 3 nights land 4 nights cruise. I am taking DD - 8 and my mom. I booked it through Dreams unlimited! I can't wait. I have been to Disney World about 6 times in my long 31 years, but this will be my first Disney Cruise! We will hopefully be celebrating my mom being cancer free for a year!

Hello Kimiza and welcome aboard, you are just going to love this cruise, Disney sure knows how to take care of you.
This will be the perfect celebration for your mom!!!!

Hi DP.. Welcome to the cruise... Where near Boston are you? I lived for a few years when I was little in Peabody and have lots of family in and around Malden. I love Boston, one of my favorite cities. Now I live in Richmond VA but still think of Boston as home even havnig not lived there in years.

DP, Kimiza and Amy -

Glad to see more joining our thread and the cruise. I have started a webpage for the group which you will find in here http://www.renysplace.com/cruise/cruiseindex.html, let me know if you wish to have your families added to the list. (It was in my signature and is now gone so I better get it back :)

I am starting to come up with lots of questions, just have to get my thoughts together and have those who have DCL'd more than once answer for me :)

Days are getting closer :woohoo: :woohoo:

yes please include my family

my mom- Judi - 56
DD - Izabel - 8
Don't know state room yet
Before Cruise we are staying at Caribbean Beach Resort - 3 nights
Coming from Rochester, NY
Celebrating my mom being cancer free for 1 year (keep your fingers crossed)
First Disney Cruise, but I have been on 3 Carnival Cruises before, been to Disney World 7 or 8 Times, looking for some cool things to do that are out of the normal, and would be a surprise for my mom and daugther

Renysmom -- We are outside of Boston in Westwood. Originally from California but have been out here for 15 years now!!! Miss the weather -- hence our voracious appetite for warm-weather travel!

Kimiza -- we should introduce our daughters. I'm bringing my two twins (boy/girl) who will be eight in December right before we cruise. Will you be doing the Kids Club with your at all?

Looking forward to our cruise and meeting y'all.

dpara - I totally agree, my DD is definitely going to do the oceaneers lab. Any new friends she would love! DD turns 8 in July!

Just checking in.

Looks like we have had some more people join the fun. WELCOME!!:)

I reserved our hotel rooms this weekend, now we are counting the days.:woohoo:

Kim -

I've added your information..

If anyone else wants to add themselves to the group page, update info or add your picture (so you can be recognized) just send me a PM or email.

Have a great night

:thumbsup2 Have not posted in a while. We just returned from our cruise on Navigator of the seas.
We had a wonderful time. The ship was huge and so beautiful, but almost too big for us. We visited Grand Cayman and Ocho rios and our weather was just perfect. Most perfect weather we have ever had on a cruise. Sunny-calm seas and 85-90 everyday with low humidity!:woohoo: I could not believe it. When we left STL on that Saturday it was 6 degrees~~ YUK:eek:
We swam with the stingrays in GC and it was awesome.

DD would have loved the ship, but we went by ourselves this time. It had a minature golf course on deck12, inline skate track, ice skating ring and a rock climbing wall. It even had a Johnny Rockets on board. We did nothing ,but lay around and eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If there is a pool and food we are happy!:rotfl:

So now we are looking forward too the Wonder in October. I just got two really cool Jack Sparrow T -shirts for DD and I too wear too the Pirate Party.

Oh and my Best Friend just booked last week. So that adds another Adult and her 2 kids. Reese will be 5 and Gus will be 10 when we sail.

I have talked to my DVC member about points to rent for after the cruise. I think we are going to try the AKL villas this time.

Hope all is well...

Wow 85º-90º every day sounds good to me, sounds like you had a great time.
I'm with you......"If there is a pool and food we are happy", or "give me a hammock under a palm tree on a beach and a cocktail in my hand and I'll be one happy camper".:beach:

Josie -

Welcome Home!!! I would die for those temperatures right now.. I am sick of this winter and we haven't had any snow at all. I know probably the only place in the US with a zero snow count, heck even WDW got snow this winter but no not us, not one snowflake

I'm with Bob.. Hammock, beach, sun and food and I am the happiest person around :hippie:

We're into February so I guess it is really time to start planning for the cruise

Hi everyone,

I am just wondering if anyone has booked any excursions for the bahamas yet? Or if anyone has done any of these excursions and might have recommendations?

Has anyone started having the dreams where they leave for the Disney Cruise and they haven't packed a thing, or is it just me?

Kim

I don't know if we will even get off the ship in Nassau this time???:confused3We have talked about maybe taking a water taxi over too Atlantis and checking things out?? We have always wanted to get over there and never have.
I just mainly plan too enjoy the Wonder while in port.:goodvibes

I have our room booked at the Radisson for the night before and I have checked with my DVC member about renting points for our stay afterwards. We plan to go too MNSSHP, but I think I will not buy the tickets ahead this time.
Last time I did that for MVMCP it poured down hard and the weather was saying 80% chance of rain...If I had not had the tickets we would have skipped. It was miserable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't think that I have too worry about the 10-16 party selling out. If so we will just spend that day at F & W at Epcot.. So I have a back up plan!!! LOL:yay:

I did pick up some cool Jack Sparrow T-shirts for DD and I for the Pirate party. Disney store had them marked down on clearance for $2.49! I could not pass it up!

I am just glad to finally be able to say we are cruising Disney this October!! 8months away...Although I do not want to wish my summer away...I want it too last...I hate WINTER!:headache:

Have a good day everyone!
Michelle
