10/12/08-4 night Wonder anniversary cruise

Hi everbody!!

I agree that Grills is very good. We've tried it a couple of x's. We tried Rusty's last cruise & it was good too.

I've gotten everyone's information updates as requested :goodvibes

This is everyone's information spot so please let me know if there is something we need to add to the webpages etc.

Right now John and I are scheduled for Land/Sea but we have talked about going ahead and staying at the Radisson the night before the cruise anyway. We will probably decide after our Xmas trip on what to do. I may just go ahead and book the Radisson so I know we have this option. If we are doing a pre-cruise get together, I'm sure he will want to do it.

Michelle - when did you say we should try to book these rooms?

Thank goodness we have this Xmas trip to focus on or I would be driving my husband crazy, he says he created a monster. :dance3: :dance3: but he loves it LOL.. I already am trying to plan my cabin door graphics.

I am so happy we are getting conversations going and that we have a cruise expert here with Michelle.

Hello fellow shipmates it's been a while!
I go away to Philadelphia for a few days and you guys post like crazy, great to see you all.
Welcome aboard Michelle, Gary & Josie (BABYJOSIE98) glad you found us.
The Radisson sounds like a good plan.....just make my drink a Margarita!

Hey Steelernut, your team is doing very well but not quite as good as my Pats! looks like it will be a good season for both our teams.

We can book the Radisson rooms Mid October for next year..:cool1:

You can officially book 1 year out.

alohabob,
I will have to have a Margarita too!!:cloud9:

DH and I are thinking about booking a 5 night RCL cruise for January. Just the two of us! We have not been on vacation alone without Josie in forever.... That is a voyager class ship and the rate is good......So we may book within the next week... Goes to Grand Cayman and Jamacia...I wish the Wonder would go somewhere other than Nassau. :confused3 We probably won't even get off the ship on Nassau day????

Have a good day!:goodvibes

Michelle

Hey Bob!! Yeah the Steelers have looked good. I think they just walked into a hornets nest last week. They way the Cardinal players & fans were acting, you would have thought it was the Super Bowl. LOL:rotfl2: The Steelers just made to many mistakes to win. Yeah the Pats have looked good also. If they & the Boys win this week the hype machine will be going full blast for that game. ESPN the hype machine capital of the world!!

Funny you say that, I live only two miles from ESPN in Bristol Ct. and every once and a while we see sport celebrities at the local malls and restaurants.

Just think in one year and one week we will be boarding the "Wonder".:cool1: :dance3: :cheer2:  :woohoo:

Hello all! My DW and I just booked this cruise and I was supprised to see that there was already an active thread for cruisers to post. Although my DW and I are Disney veterans (Over 12 trips to WDW) this will be our first voyage on DCL and we are very excited. I'm sure we will have lots of questions to ask of you cruise experts so I'm glad we have some time.

Cast: Me(Keith) & DW(Sue)
New York, NY
Stateroom 7576 (I think)
Late Dining
First Disney Cruise!!

You will love DCL!!:thumbsup2 Not hard work like WDW is although I do love WDW so much...:cloud9:

We will combine our trip with a couple days afterwards at Disney for MNSSHP. :woohoo:

I see you are headed to WDW for Christmas. You will have too let me know how it is this year.
Someday I would love to spend the Hoildays at WDW. Just for the atmosphere if nothing else since crowds are so bad.

We have plenty of time for planning this trip on the Wonder.

Michelle

Hi Michelle,

Yes it will be nice to just relax on the ship for a few days instead of running all over the parks. We too are going to WDW after the cruise. We will be staying for 8 days at either the Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge. We can't decide on which one to stay at as we love both of them.

We will be at WDW for Xmas this year. We are having a kind-of a family reunion with about 24 members attending. Should be fun and we have never been in WDW at this time of the year before either. We usually go late October during the F&WF which we love. I will let you know just how bad the Xmas crowds are :thumbsup2 .

Welcome SleepyKeith! Good to meet you.

I will add your info to our cruise web page this evening before I head off to bed.

We are heading to the world the first week of December for our pre-xmas holiday, this will be our second year going. The parks are beautiful, and everything is even more magical. You will have a great time!

Good Morning everybody!!:) :surfweb:

So what is it now? 52 or 53 weeks from today we sail??:goodvibes :sail:
We have another one going with us. My sister-in-law!!:sad2: LOL I also think all the grandparents might end up going also.:scared1:

Hey Bob! A friend of mine is from CT. He has been to ESPN and said it was really cool. He got to sit and watch NFL Sunday Countdown. I'm jealous!! Hopefully the Steelers can pull one out today. I'm glad I have NFL Sunday Ticket or I'd have to watch the Panthers today.:happytv: Do you fly or drive down to FL??

Good Morning All -

Just 369 days to go and we will all be at or on our way to the port :cool1: :cool1:

I got my birth certificate from New Mexico yesterday so now as soon as John can locate his (he swears he knows where it is LOL) we are going to make our appointment at our local post office to get our passports and then we can check that off the list. Hopefully we get this done by the holidays, just which one who knows,

Question for those who have DCL'd before. We are thinking about going over to Atlantis, not for the water park but to see the grounds, the aquarium and the stores. Would you suggest we book the excursion or just use a cab? I've read of people doing both. We also want to go over to the straw market and look around there and the port stores. Yea were newbies so we have to do the whole tourist thing LOL. So what do you suggest we do??

Thanks for the input

Hey guys! This is going to be my first cruise and am so excited. Am going to go with my sister and my brother inlaw :lmao:. I can't wait until Oct. 2008!

Kelly--

We haven't DCLed before, but right now we are leaning towards NOT doing anything in Nassau. We may get out at walk the building at the port and that's it.

We have cruised RCCL before and while we didn't go to Nassau we were at Playa del Carmen. I just couldn't take all the haggling. Maybe it's being a Midwest girl, but I was just taken aback by all of it.

I've heard the straw market is just like that and I just don't want to do it.

I'd love to take the family over to Atlantis, but I'm afraid all my kids would want to do is swim. I know there's the excursion, but today, right now, it's not something I'm going to book. Maybe I'll feel differently down the line, closer to the time.

Hi Carolina Girl welcome to the group.

Glad to hear you will be joining us here and on the Wonder. It's our first cruise as well so jump in, ask lots of questions and we will help each other out.

You can visit page 2 of our thread to see the get to know you survey is you like and we also have our own little website with info and such, more will be added as time goes on.

You can find it here: http://www.renysplace.com/cruise/cruiseindex.html

Look forward to getting to know you.

Hi Ren, We have done Atlantis. It was very nice. We booked thru RCCL. We did the water taxi over. They gave you some history of the island. Some if not alot just do there own thing and go over. I think it costs around 20 - 25 bucks to get in now. We also had a tour guide when we got there. Remember though that was about 3 years ago. But just a lil' info from my end. Both have ad's & Dis ad's. We are going to do it again this time for our lil boy and parents. I suggest going to Senior Frogs. they have a great dock to hang out and chill over the water with a great view of the ships.

BTW all the grand's are now going. We have a total now of 12.

GREAT! My Sister-in-law found this board. LOL

GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!

okay Steelernut you forget I am a cruise newbie so I need some definitions here:

RCCL??

ad's??

Dis Ad's??

Steelers winning???? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Congrats on the win.. it's been a great sports weekend in my house as well. WVU destroys Syracuse, Redskins owned the Lions, Red Sox's WIN!!! If only the Yankee's choke tonite all will be right with the world, at least my world.
