We are going with DDs (1 and 5 by then) in January. Planning on staying at Pop or ASMo for the first part, but moving to a resort with more amenities over marathon weekend. DH is running the half marathon on Sat and the full on Sunday so we figure we need to be in a place where the girls will have lots of entertainment right at the resort and/or have easy transport to MK if I decide to take them over by myself while DH recouperates.

Anybody spend a lot of time at any of these resorts with kids 5 and under? Is there enough to keep them occupied? Is there one that stands out as the best choice?

If entertainment and proximity to MK was my goal, I would pick Poly. Your right on the monorail and moments away from MK, GF and CR. Hard to be bored when you have all that right there. We love AKL, but we love it because it is more out of the way and seems IMO to be quieter. Haven't stayed at WL in a number of years, so no real opinion one way or the other there.

Poly, Poly, Poly. By far the easiest trek to Magic Kingdom (the park which your kids will likely enjoy the most) and Epcot for that matter. Best beaches and pools for your "DH to recouperate". All have great dining choices but Poly wins based on number of choices and castle/fireworks views.

I've been to all of them and while they are all equally nice they do not all have the monorail.

AKL is very nice but remote and it takes a LONG time to get anywhere other than the AK park.

Winderness Lodge is lovely but the only way to get to the MK is via a boat and that can be a long wait.

Poly is my fav because of the monorail and the fact that you can see the MK fireworks over Cinderella's Castle every night from the beach:love: You can't beat that if you ask me.

:goodvibes Have a great time:goodvibes

Definately go with the Poly since it will only be you taking 2 kids to the parks. You wont want to have to fool with folding a stroller and getting 2 kids on a boat to the MK from the WL. With the Poly you can just roll the stroller right on to the monorail without getting the baby out. The AK is very far out and your only option for transportation would be the bus. I wouldnt want to be getting a stroller and 2 kids on the bus by myself either. Definately go for the POLY!!

POLY!!!!! We stayed at the Poly for the first time in Feb with DD and she was 11months. It was AWESOME! The resort is great due to the monorail to the MK. The rooms are all redone and very large and also have 2 queen beds. There was plenty of room for DD to have some toys and play and enjoy herself. I fell in  with the Poly and if I didn't just become a DVC member, I would be staying there every trip!
