Ok, so I have researched and planned and planned and researched and just when I think I have everything set in stone, I realize we are 1 week out and I start to second guess myself! We are staying 7 days and going to MNSSHP on the 24th. I have ADR's done, FastPass+ selections made, costumes done, and I haven't packed 1 thing! I can't pack this weekend because we are going to visit our son in college tomorrow for his birthday. It's a 6 hour drive one way! UGH!!! Why do I do these things to myself? I have honestly been so busy the past month that I haven't had a chance to pack. I am going to make myself do this Monday night after work. Luckily, it is just myself, DH and DS (4) going this time so packing shouldn't really be that bad.... Does anyone else do this??? Panic like this, I mean? This is not my 1st rodeo, but I just always want everything to go as perfectly as possible! I'm so afraid I've missed scheduling or planning something that we are going to regret! Any suggestions???:scratchin:hyper::faint:

I always wait until the last minute to pack. I make a list a head of time but never always procrastinate. This past trip in May I was able to take the day off before we left, so while DH was at work and DD was at daycare, I had the house to myself to pack myself and DD and run any last minute errands. I was so grateful to have this time since out flight was at 7:00am the next morning.

I do start the week before kind of piling things up on the kitchen table as I think of something or see something around the house. Then when it is time to pack, I can go start at the pile. Not the most efficient way of packing but it works for me

Have a fun trip!!!!!

This is me too!! only in a large basket in a corner of my bedroom. Since I am trying to transition the summer clothes into fall/winter, I have been piling all of the "still fits" for my kids into that corner after doing laundry, instead of putting them back into thier drawers. Well my basket runeth over:rotfl:... I actually got the suitcases own from the attic, and I am planning on sorting through my pile and packing tomorrow morning that way I can enjoy the rest of my weekend!!!

Absolutely, I always do the same thing and end up having to stay up half the night before we leave packing

I am two weeks out and I am totally stressed! I totally feel the crunch with you. I have been packing, but there is still so much to do in just 15 days not to mention work, ugh! I want vacation to hurry up, but I need the time to get ready still. Can't wait to be in the Disney bubble and not worry about anything else in life!

We are 8 days away and I haven't packed a thing or even thought to start packing yet. It shouldn't take more then an hour or 2 to actually pack if the cloths are clean and just need to be gathered and put in a suitcase. At least it doesn't take me longer then that to pack myself and 2 kids, dh is on his own.

Don't stress. It all gets done in the end.

I am 8 days out but I'm most worried about getting stuff done at work and getting my house clean before I leave to even fret about the vacation. Sounds like you have everything planned. Your trip will be amazing and fun. I wouldn't worry.

We're six days out, and I'm starting to freak out a little too! This is my first trip with two kids, so I've been gathering lanyards, pins, autograph books, costumes, etc. for a couple of months. I'm afraid I'm forgetting something though! I haven't packed anything yet. My house is a disaster, and I have like six baskets of laundry to put away first, LOL.

i like to pack WAY ahead of time. For our first trip with DD1, i started 3 months out! Adding things as i thought of them. However, that was easy b/c it was winter here and would be summer in the caribbean so all our clothes were not in use.

For our second trip it was opposite, so i could not pack much as we used daily what we would pack. I did start ahead of time with what i could do.

For our next trip, DD2's first Disney trip, all i've started now is gathering food and snacks for the trip, figuring out ordering bottled water, our trip is in two months

My advice so you don't panic, is use the 6 hour drive, if you are not driving of course, to write a packing list. It will help ease your mind of trying to think of everything. Make categories and try to accomplish packing a couple every night.

Have a great time! Don't forget to pack cheap rain ponchos!

I just said this to my husband and we are 21 days out. Been thinking of this trip for 3 years and planning for a year almost. Now panic is setting in. Do I know what rides are must do's, need to print out map for MNSSHP, need to print out photopass places, OMG we got a new camera and I have no idea how to work it. (why did we get a fancy camera with lens and now what the heck is shutter speed ughhh - bringing the other camera too). Do we have enough memory cards.

In the end our DD (turning 4 at Disney) won't care if we miss a ride- all she will care about is seeing smiles on Mommy and Daddy and being in the most wonderful place ever.

As soon as she goes to bed I guess I will read my 1 of 6 Disney books again:cool1:

I thrive on a list. Usually, DH and I make it together because we always think of things the other forgets. I love all the packing lists I have seen on the Disney blogs. Quite a few of them had things I would never considered.
