Looking for recommendations for dinner on one of our MK days when MVMCP is happening but we are not going to the party.

Would like to consider anywhere in MK or at a monorail resort that is easy to get to.

Have 3 fairly picky DDs ages 12,10,9.

My initial thought she are:
Ohana, The Wave, Boma, ????

Boma isn't near MK that's near AK.

We tried Skipper Canteen in December and really enjoyed it. The menu looks a little exotic at first, but it's really not. And the food and service were really good. My oldest was able to get mac and cheese my twins had grilled chicken or something along those lines.

Be Our Guest in MK is always good as well. And you get to meet the Beast after dinner.

1900 Park Fare at GF was also a good meal and close to MK. Cinderella, the prince and stepsisters are at this meal.

We had lunch at the Wave and was rather disappointed. Very slow service and some of the food was not cooked well. I hear enough good things about it though that it may be worth a try. Nothing special about the ambiance or anything.

'Ohana (they will bring your children other options- you have to ask), The Wave has good reviews, Whispering Canyon Cafe

Boma is at AK Lodge and a bit of a hassle from MK. If the girls are picky you could try Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary resort. This is a buffet (american style) so they should be able to find the food they like. You can see Mickey and the gang for photo ops, and it's just a hop on the monorail away from MK. The food is pretty average so some reviews aren't great, but we really enjoy it here. Hope this helps.

Liberty Tree Tavern is underrated and an excellent meat and potatoes kinda restaurant located within MK should you not want to spend all that extra time leaving the park and coming back.

In park I would suggest Liberty Tree Tavern or Crystal Palace - both have good standard choices for picky eaters.
Outside the park I would always suggest 'Ohana but you'll need to decide if you mind the cost in case your children will only want other kids type offerings and not the regular menu.

Keep in mind when you're planning that without a party ticket, an in park ADR will only be available to you until 6-6:15. Later times will require admission to the party.

My DD is a picky eater too and love O'hana & Kona. The Wave is nice, but I think the menu is more for adults and there is no atmosphere or windows. In the park she likes The Plaza and BOG if you can snag that reservation. I love the GF so if your interested in checking out the hotel and having dinner the GF Cafe has a basic simple menu, even my DD can find something she likes there. There's live music in the lobby and you watch the fireworks from several locations and make a night of it.

For picky eaters with a good time before the party- I would pick either Grand Floridian Cafe or Whispering Canyon at the MK resorts. For in the park- I would pick Liberty Tree Tavern or Skipper Canteen. We have had bad luck at the Wave before parties... the food is good but super slow.

'Ohana is one of our favorites and they will bring the kids something different if you ask. We liked the Grand Floridian Cafe, the food was good and it's only a quick trip on the monorail.

I am trying to get LTT for our MK day (also not going to the party). Back up plan will be whispering canyon. I think my grandsons (9,8,6) will get a kick out of it.

I would try 1900 PArk Fare at the Grand Floridian. The stepsisters are hysterical and Lady Tremaine is pretty darn funny as well. The food is good, and since it is a buffet there should be something for all of the kids to enjoy.

I would also suggest Chef Mickey at the Contemporary. Yes, I know that it does not get a lot of love, but we like it.

Another suggestion would be to go to Trails End in Fort Wilderness. After dinner take the wagon ride through teh FOrt and enjoy the holiday decorations the campers have placed all over their campsites. Teh cost is something like $8 per person and is a lot of fun, especially if you are missing the party.

Check out Trails End at Ft. Wilderness. You can take the boat from MK or Contemporary. They have a great buffet with a variety of food--plenty of options for picky eaters.

I would say 'Ohana if you can get a reservation, if not Kona Cafe.

Boma is not anywhere close to MK and not sure about that since you said your kids were picky eaters. I would suggest Ohana or Kona Cafe. Whispering Canyon Cafe is also an option with a nice boat ride to MK.
