1. Pin trading on DCL? 2. Any trouble with pins going through airport security?

Just those 2 questions....

I am assuming pin trading goes on DCL - will cast members wear lanyards? Is it same rules as in the parks?

Wondered about airport security problems - where should pins be packed. I will probably pack in regular luggage but I don't want to risk theft. What do you guys do?

Yes, some crew members will have lanyards, but not many. Same rules as the parks. Pin trading was pretty low key on the Wonder in late June. They do have some nice pins to buy and trade on land.

We didn't take a lot of pins to trade - a bunch of tradeables that we carried on with us. Depending on the airport, they will check out your pins. At Orlando (of all places) they checked out every pin that we had coming back last week. And we had a LOT...

We prefer to carry them on.

I always carry mine with me on the plane. They look through them and often do the explosive test, but I've never had a problem. Orlando never even opened my bag!!

There are a few Cast Members on board the ships who will wear lanyards and trade pins. There are usually a few scheduled times to pin trade in the Atrium area with the Cast Members, but many times the Guest Services Cast and some of the greeters to the restaurants will be wearing lanyards. Occasionally, they will "suspend" trading on the ship if there has been a recent virus outbreak to protect the staff and guests.

We have never had any trouble carrying our pins on an airplane (and we fly out of BWI!) We are ALWAYS thoroughly searched and we always allow plenty of time to go through security.

u will have no problem going thru security because we go 3-4 times a year and we never have problems!!!!! just pack them normally! have a magical day
