Hi all

I was lucky enough to get a bit of money for my birthday last week. :goodvibes While it's not enough for a major trip anywhere (not even close!), I was thinking of going on a night or two getaway in southern Ontario with dh in mid to late November. It's sort of my "get-me-out-of-the-winter-is-coming-blues". I am considering Niagara Falls, but we do go there quite a bit, so I'm open to other suggestions. We also go to Toronto a lot, so anywhere else would be good. We do like Muskoka and area, but it's a bit too far a drive, and I'm not sure I'd want to go there this time of year anyway. We enjoy hiking, food, wine, exploring, music, entertainment, etc...

Thanks for any assistance! :thumbsup2

Have you ever been to Niagara on the Lake? Great location with lots of things for grown-ups to do. Shopping, winery tours, B&B's, live theatre (although I think the theatre season finished last weekend). Also if you don't mind going a bit east, Kingston is a nice place to visit.

Thank you!! :goodvibes

I do go to Niagara-on-the-lake whenever I go to Niagara Falls. I just love it there!! I haven't really spent time exploring Kingston. It's a fair hike for us though, so I'm not sure if I could get dh to go. Food for thought though. Thanks again! :thumbsup2

One other thought... Google Benmiller Inn in Goderich (about an hour north of London). Another great spot for 2.

My DH and I are going "away" for one night to celebrate our anniversary. We always seem to gravitate towards Niagara Falls! There are so many amazing deals for hotel packages which include dinner vouchures/free breakfasts, even show tickets. There are beautiful hotel suites/rooms to choose from too! We always bring our passports for a little cross border shopping at the outlets 10 minutes away. There's always the gaming action at the casinos too. We like to have the option of having tons to do with nice accommodations near by....

You could always do St Jacobs-they have a hotel that has a feel of a romantic B&B but i think it is a best western or something like that, all the little boutique stores and the farmers market plus the stone crock restaurant and the lovely countryside...

Big thank you to all of you!!! I'm having fun checking out all these suggestions! :goodvibes
