There are 6 of us (4 children). We have busy first day & night including dinner at WDW on Sat. Dec. 28.

I can get this Travelodge Suites for $40. Not expecting much. Will sleep 6. It's only 1 night.

With Priceline -- my first time-- I'd have to bid 2 rooms to be sure we'd get something for all of us. Then there'd be the Priceline charge on top of both rooms and possibly a resort fee right?

Any advice?

I've used info from www.biddingfortravel.com to do Priceline. I needed a hotel close to the airport for a late arrival, and that worked out very well for me. I also bid for a last minute budget trip and was satisfied. I've never bid for two rooms, but look at the site and see what others are getting. Your $40 room may be cheaper.

If doing priceline. I would check out site called biddingfortravel.com. To get eduction about priceline.

Also I check out hotelkingdom.com and valuetrips.com. To see if they have affordable prices before go with the unknown before using priceline. That know which hotel you is getting.

Also check expedia, and travelcity to.

Which Travelodge Suites would it be. I know that I had friends that stayed at one and it was not very nice. I know that you said you wouldn't be expecting much, but this place was dirty and there was trash piled in the stairwells.

There are 2 I'm looking at. Any advice on either would be appreciated.
1 is Travelodge Kissimee Eastgate Orange or some ridiculous name like that. It is on 5399 W Irlo Bronson and is cheaper than the other by $18.50 USD (about $29 Cdn for me -- see every buck makes a big difference!). Cost $42 inc. tax. Some confusion over whether or not they throw in a donut & coffee.
Unofficial Guide gives it a 3 star, 67 overall rating

2nd is Travelodge Suites at 4694 W. IB for 53.96 plus tax = $60.43. Donut, OJ, coffee include for all 6. Unofficial Guide says 2 1/2 star, 56 rating. So seems like an easy decision between the 2 based on only that. Eastgate Orange would win.

I already have ressies (can cancel) at Comfort Inn LBV Family Fun Suite with package of good looking coupons, but it is $65.95 plus tx (& a $2 resort fee I think). No breakfast. Very close to WDW I think. I know we would use their Gatorland Buy 1 Get 1 coupon for sure so that's a comparable savings already there.

Very close to WDW sounds like a good idea. Some kind of breakfast without hassle would be good too. Want to be at Blizzard Beach first thing. Hotel & change in afternoon & on to Epcot for our CP Dinner Package. We're in nice accomodations for the rest of our stay.

So do I risk Priceline for this family trip of a lifetime? Or just go with what I know I can already get cheap & where. I mean how cheap can I expect on 2 rooms plus service fees during Holidays on a Saturday night? Sure would be nice to end up in swanky resort, but....

Need advice/opinions please!!!

Do those places actually fit 6 people? You could be pretty tight. I always like room even for one night.

Yes you will probably pay overall more with priceline since you would bid on 2 rooms so I guess the deciding factor would be how much space you really want. Well and I guess any reviews on the Travelodge hotels.

I have used priceline many times for first nights lodging. Do your homework first and you may be pleasantly surprised. good luck!

Two bathrooms in the morning will help you get out the door much more quickly with 6 people. It might cost you a few dollars more than your $40 but I'll bet you could get 2 rooms at a 1*-2 1/2* in the $50 range.

Let us know what you get if you bid!
