Hello, Dis'ers! I've been reading trip reports on this site for about a year now, but because I haven't been to Disney World since 2007, I haven't spoken up until now.

However! There is a very good chance I could be going to Disney February 23rd for Spring Break with my school. I say "good chance" because I have yet to get my ticket and may have to go on a short waiting list. Cross your fingers!

It would be for February 23rd-25th, with a travel date before and after. I would be staying in a room with four other girls (one of them being my friend Kaitlin!) at Coronado Springs.

This is my first Disney World trip without my mom. I went in 1996 with my mom, dad, and older brother. 2003, I went with my mom and brother. And in 2007, I went with just my mom. This year I am practically going solo! Just dragging my friend Kaitlin around to my plans.

Here is my tentative schedule:

Tuesday, Feb. 22nd - Depart from Oakland

Wednesday, Feb. 23rd -

Magic Kingdom 9am-10pm
Wishes?

Thursday, Feb. 24th -

Magic Kingdom 8am-10am
Epcot 10am - 8pm
Illuminations?
Magic Kingdom 8pm-10pm

Friday, Feb 25th -

Animal Kingdom 9am - 4pm
MGM 4pm-7pm
Epcot 7pm- midnight

Saturday, Feb 26th - Depart from Disney

As you can see, I want to be in Magic Kingdom as much as possible, but I do want to see all of the other parks as well! I'm used to doing Disney in seven days, but three days is more then enough with just two people, four parks, and one very big dream to go back!

I would have to do this entire trip on a MAJOR budget as I am a college student and would have to pay for all of my own food. Thankfully, park hopper tickets for three days are included in the price.

So if you have any suggestions for me on how to save money, I would really appreciate it!

Update! The reason I was going to have to go on the waiting list was because I wasn't able to buy the tickets until after they went on sale. But now I will be able to get them the morning they do! My amazing, spectacular parents are on their way right now in a three hour drive, just to give me the money.

Heres the lay down of the trip:

100 people, 4 to a room, 20 rooms at Coronado Springs.
3 day Park Hopper pass.
24 hour Greyhound bus ride from Michigan to Florida

All for just 200 dollars!

Update for those who may be reading this!

My friend is unable to come with me, so it turns out I will be going solo! Now, at twenty years old, I feel like I can handle this. But is there anything at Disney I should avoid, being alone?

Also, I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on park hopping so often in three days. Should I do less of it, or is it doable?

I hope someones reading this so they can help me out! :)

More on the trip soon.

Hi! You sound exactly like me! I went in high school with my band, took a 24 hour drive from Michigan to Florida, and we stayed 7 days! Where are you from in Michigan? I'm originally from Farmington even though I moved to Missouri last June and I'm moving to Orlando next year :) :) :) You should come check out my ptr, link's in my siggie! I'm taking a solo trip this year or next!

I will definitely take a look at your trip reports! I'm from Wyoming, Michigan (Grand Rapids), but I currently live in Holland, Michigan, and go to school in Rochester, Michigan (Detroit).

When you went with your band, did you hang out with a lot of people, or do some of the stuff on your own? And how old are you now? Are you comfortable going to a lot of things solo there?

Sorry for the parade of questions! Just curious. :goodvibes

Update!

Exactly four weeks from today, I will be in the happiest place in the world! I just got my money for the trip and it turns out that I wont have to skimp at all.

So, I'll only have three days. As a person who's been to Disney a few times before, is there anything I should skip or anything I shouldn't miss?
