Ummm.... wow!

Okay, I have NEVER planned a trip to the minute, but ok... if that is fun for you, then, wow, I am very impressed. You already know your schedule is a guess-i-mate at best so I will just look at the overall concept.

Questions for you to consider:

1. Somewhere in here, based on times you have listed, you lose? gain? something :lmao: an hour.

"12:20pm- arrive at DCA
12:30pm- arrive at toy story mania/ or get fastpass for soarin
2:00pm- get in line for soarin
1:30pm- monsters inc ride

2:10pm-rapids
3:00pm- LUNCH TIME"

2. You have your plan going until midnight. When are you going to the Park? (It is not open to midnight everyday now that summer is over. Just making sure you are aware of that.)

3. In this part of your day:
3:00pm- LUNCH TIME
3:30pm- head back over to exit
3:50pm- re enter DLR
4:00pm- parade of dreams

Two things here: First, Parade of Dreams is at 3:30pm. Second, you really need more than 10 minutes to get from the Main Gate to a decent spot for the parade - especially if it is right when the parade starts (crowds).

4. 6:30pm-tiki room or indianna jones
7:00pm-haunted mansion

30 minutes to ride either TR or IJ, walk to Adventureland, wait in line for the HM (especially if you are going between now and the holidays) is not enough time.

5. A few questions for this segment of your day:
"9:25pm- fireworks
10:00pm- pooh bear
10:30pm- star tours"

Where are you planning on watching the fireworks from? They end at 9:45pm. You have given yourself 15 minutes (in post-fireworks crowds) to get to Critter Country AND get on The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. I don't think this is reasonable timing. Just something to look at in your plan.

Then... IF you are on The Adventures of Winnie Pooh by 10:00pm, you have given yourself 30 minutes to ride that attraction, get all the way over to Tomorrowland, stand in line, and board Star Tours by 10:30pm. With great kindness I have to say, that is not going to happen, short of a minor miracle.

These are the biggest issues I see in your plan at first glance. I guess the biggest thought I have overall is - where's the time to actually enjoy yourself and take in the beauty and magic of the Park? Yes, you may have all the attractions you want on your list, but is it a plan for a fun day? I would rather slow down a little and actually enjoy your day.

Anyhoo, take a look at the above points and let me know if you have any questions as to what I am trying to point out. Just trying to help.

Overall, you are getting to go to Disney for a day. :yay: Make sure you have time to actually enjoy your day and not just cross things off a checklist. :goodvibes

1. oops
2. yeah i checked the dates its opened till midnight :)
3. the first parade starts at 4pm
4.oops didnt see that
5. there is firework viewing from

this is hurting my brain ill fix it tomorrow

I personally don't agree with the comments of those who will say, "Don't plan to the minute, you won't enjoy yourself." I make the same kind of plans before I go and I always enjoy myself more because we have a sense of purpose. We don't stand around trying to decide what to do next.

OK, here are my thoughts...

Since you're planning to be there till midnight, I'd move the subs to the last thing right after astro blasters. As long as you're in line before midnight they'll let you on the ride. This will free up valuable morning time to do your other rides.

You've left not enough time for some things and too much for others and you're not really taking advantage of the FP system as best you can. Here's how I'd do your desired rides...(you'll notice there's room to add more or spend time shopping)

8:10 - Get Indy FP
8:15 - Alice
8:35 - Tea Cups
8:50 - Carrousel
9:00 - Get Autopia FP
9:10 - Peter Pan
9:45 - Snow White
10:00 - Pinnochio
10:10 - Get Splash Mtn FP
10:15 - Jungle Cruise
10:45 - Indy (use FP)
11:00 - (add 1 hr of whatever you want)
12:10 - Get Haunted Mansion FP
12:25 - Enter DCA
12:30 - Get Soarin FP
12:35 - Get Rapids FP
12:40 - Toy Story
1:30 - Monsters Inc
1:50 - LUNCH
2:20 - Rapids (use FP)
2:40 - Soarin' (use FP)
3:10 - Enter DL and get Parade spot
3:30 - Parade
4:15 - Splash Mtn (use FP)
4:45 - Pooh
5:10 - Haunted Mansion (use FP)
5:40 - Tiki Room
6:10 - Autopia (use FP)
6:40 - (add 2 hrs of whatever you want)
8:00 - Grab food and save spot for fireworks
10:00 - (add 1 hr of whatever you want)
11:00 - Star Tours
11:25 - Astro Blasters
11:45 - Nemo subs

i lreally like this schedule except the parade starts at 4pm and you only gave me 5 minutes to get from indy to alice and only 10 minutes to ride snowhite plus the lines but i guess i could use the extra hours to my advantage :) thank you so much!(i also like doing minute by minute so your not sitting there waisting time looking at the map when you could be on a ride! * i dont even need a map lol*

5 mins from Indy to Alice is sufficient if you are walking fast (which you should be the first 2 hours to take advantage of the lighter crowds). Snow White always has a short line, but as you mentioned if the line is abnormally long that day you've got buffer time in that schedule to still make it on the ride.

I didn't realize the parade was at 4pm (was used to the 3:30/6:30 times). That gives you an extra 30 mins in DCA and shift everything in DL back 30 mins which is fine because you have a 2-hr buffer before dinner anyway.

I'm thinking you could do better with your FL schedule in the morning. Also wondering why you left out Toady?! :lovestruc I heart Toady. Also Dumbo. And where's Space Mountain? ooooh, SO fun! Anyway, just my opinions. Who's going with you, and what ages?

I second leaving Nemo till the last at night. Or even skip it. It's not really all that. Ditto with Autopia... I've heard again and again that it's not worth it, though some kids love it.

Grab an Indy FP (or send a runner to do that)
Peter Pan first (always first! the line gets really long very quickly, and stays long all day!)
Teacups
Alice
Toady
Snow White
Carrousel
Pinocchio
Splash FP

...and etc.

aunt-.........middle aged

You, your BFF, and your aunt-- how fun! You'll have such a fantastic time!

(BTW, no matter what her age, I wouldn't call your aunt "middle aged," at least not in her hearing :rotfl: I'm 44 and a doctor called me that last June, I *almost* had an "involuntary reflex" and kicked him hard. ;) )

So, yeah, drop Nemo and Dumbo (although I rode Dumbo with my 6 year old and surprisingly enjoyed it a lot) and follow the standard FL schedule... PP first!

Have you read Hydroguy's tips? Awesome ideas for what rides to hit first, how to get FPs most efficiently, using them all later: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1520483

Read especially "Getting the Most out of FP"

Hope that helps! :goodvibes

sorry! i have a question or two what is FL schedule and what is today? bc u said u left out today i love today im sorry im just a confused planner right now!

No, I'M sorry, I'm talking in DIS speak, which can be very confusing! Sorry about that! :)

FL= FantasyLand, and there's kind of an accepted order to do it in, that some people like, because it takes the busiest rides first-- so you get those done before they get too busy. Here's a link to Hound 109's excellent thread that summarizes this order: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1392671 Although it has to do with Magic Morning, it applies to any morning that you start out in Fantasyland.

Toady is short for "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride." It's one of the original rides in the park, and I happen to love it, although it's pretty ... cheesy? goofy? Flat cutouts rather than 3-d stuff, and you end up in "hell"... but it's funny. :thumbsup2

Please read some of those tips threads, they're awesome.

oh i like toady (especially the train part) oh ok thank you so much!

we are also now thinking of doing the mick. trick or treat party on the 16 in DCA then one day at disneyland the next........ the rides we want to go on during the party is mainly just soarin rapids and toy story mania...........will they be open during it?

I agree with avalon451 that you may be able to get more into your FL schedule in the morning. I think the schedule I made is fairly conservative and probably leaves a slight bit more time for each item than necessary.

As for riding Peter Pan first, that's a bit of a toss up. True, it is def the most popular ride in FL and gets long fast. However, on the other hand, if you go on it first then you might waste 20-35 minutes with it... and during that time you could've ridden other rides whose lines will be longer if you had ridden Peter Pan first. Admittedly, I do not typically do FL first though so perhaps others are more familiar with the line patterns in FL in the early morning.

I also agree that you are leaving off some key rides:
Space Mountain
Matterhorn
Big Thunder Mtn Railroad
Tower of Terror
Screamin'

I assumed you had a specific reason for this, but if not then I would def recommend working them into your schedule. You could get the Matterhorn and Big Thunder in after the fireworks. Space Mtn could fit in after Autopia (personally, I'd grab a Space Mtn FP instead of Autopia and ditch Autopia all together). Screamin' and Tower of Terror will be harder to work in because they're in DCA and your DCA time is limited due to the need to get FPs in DL until noon and the parade at 4pm... but I'm sure it could be done; might require a hop back and forth more than once between the parks but that's not really a big deal.

your right ;) actually the new schedule im working on includes trying matterhorn and big thunder for the first time!
